Excellent Hristos Anesti in a major key. I heard (perhaps the same arrangement) I think by S, Scordilis in Honolulu, 4-5 years ago. Wonderful singing.....

My church's organ (apparently) is on it's last leg and we're looking for a new organ. I can't wait until they make the purchase.

I, personally don't think Orthodox churches need a pipe organ regardless of the size of the church. Don't get me wrong, they're beautiful, but they're "too much" for what we really need them for.

I have a job working on organs and I work in a shop that is stuffed with pipe organ parts. Pipes, wind chests, consoles, you name it, it's there! If you're electric organ is on its last leg, why not put it out to pasture and get me to build my Opus 1. I'm dying to build my own small pipe organ and would love to see it in a Greek Orthodox church. For the price of a new Allen, I bet I could build something vastly better and something that will last maybe 100 years or more.

Why not go for a 5-7 rank tracker organ. Orthodox choirs that use organs rarely use large registrations. You can look for a used small pipe organ, like an 8 rank Steiner-Reck or a 4 rank Moller Artiste. I heard of a Steiner-Reck in Greenville, SC for $10,000. That's half the price of a two manual Allen. If you can get a Moller Artiste, or something like it, that would also work very well. I am getting laid off, why not hire me to build you something?

When visitors come, sometimes they ask "Where's the organ?" I have no choice but to point up to the choir loft and point out the two ugly speaker grills in the wall. To me, it is as embarrassing as it would be if someone ran up to me and pulled my pants down.
