In the old days,it was the voice that carried the song.Today, the technology makes the song...and doesn't do a very good job of it.Tanya was,and is a classic among classics.
Oh my God Tanya! This was just about my favorite on an album I had (& still do) as a teenager. Never saw this performance. What a talent! And the lyrics really grabbed at me back then--late 60's early 70's. Wish more people could view this. Just watched the country music awards last night and did NOT enjoy it much. There's no talent anymore like this young lady. Can't enjoy the young blonde barbies in their underwear thrusting their pelvis'. Sorry but it stinks. Thanks TANYA. for every
I have to agree with you on this so called new country music...I just about fell out of my chair when Taylor Swift did that first number! I think if she wants to act like that, she needs to march her ass over to pop music!
so true so true. the amount of emotion in every lyric that tanya had ( still has) is incredable. You not only lerd the lyric, you felt it. that just does not happen anymore, its usually how high you can hit every note and how much clothing you wear, or the lack thier of. tanya drew me in at my age of 12 and I have been a true believer sinse. I love this video

Tanya took this song from Molly Ridway who was climbing the country charts with this before Tanya's cover broke.

Taylor talks or whispers and Tanya sings nothing but the truth; no pro tools back then...
