We are wretched, we are all sinners and we're all far from perfect- everyone can atleast admit to that because no man/woman is ever perfect. God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, for us. God punished Him on our behalf basically. Our sins, no matter how many or how big, will be completely washed clean, white as snow, by the innocent blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross for us :)

Jesus was not merely man but God in the FLESH! Doing GOOD DEEDS does not mean you are Christ-like, just about everyone does good deeds. Salvation is not built on doing "Good Deeds"

Im not religious nor an atheist but I believe in God and I believe in Jesus but the person name Jesus WAS just a human being who WAS just perfect, he didnt have all these divine powers as some people claim, people need to read the LORDS PRAYERS..people believe in there lies so much that they cant seek the truth..the Hebrew bible started out as the truth but as it got passed on, it was translated wrongly by many different men to suite there benefits.

@curliKAY Well, he did say "all we can do is Trust in Jesus". By trusting Jesus we must read the Gospel, and the Gospel will tell you to repent and believe. Mark 1:15 "....repent ye, and believe the gospel." Trusting Jesus and repenting should go hand in hand. Trusting Jesus should be repenting and accepting you're a sinner. We need to turn away from our sins & believe in him. Churches today overlook repentance and focus more on believing, which is wrong, they go hand in hand.
