  • the way she plays it slow is not the same as the movements she describes at the start.

    ie. she explains the movements: golpe , p -up , all down , p - up , all down , p -up , hit , all up , all down , p -up.

when she demonstrates it slow she plays: golpe , p -up , all down , p -up , hit , all up , all down , p -up.

  • This is so nice of you to post such a helpful tutorial for us on the Internet. Do not get disheartened by the people who are posting negative comments on your video. I am not sure if they are a better guitar player or not, but they are surely not of any use to the guitar playing community.

thank you for the best lesson ever!Keep it up!

  • Wow!!! That's awesome. Do you need a special guitar? For instance, would I get the same type of sound using an acoutic guitar or is there something special about the guitar you are using? Thanks!

  • Desde venezuela que buena eres tocando la guitarra y especialmente tocando la Rumba, estoy aqui con mi guitarra practicando tus lecciones.

  • Beautiful guitar for Spring, I really like it.

I had lessons too, but alas, my teacher is no more. His son is the king. You cannot find him on internet yet, but soon, he joined a band called the Basily boys.

As for me, I enjoy the practises. My Rasgueado is good, yet the 4th count, the hand silencing the strings is a technique I have yet to master. so thank you and I will follow .

    (here in YouTube) the documentary:

How to choose a good flamenco guitar 1 - Flamenco Guitar Lessons Toronto Royal Conservatory

  • nem lenne rossz,ha egyáltalán lassan meg is mutatnád,hogy hogy kell

  • Thanx a lot for your videos, I've watched them all and I am totally amzazed by the way you hold your lessons.

It inspired me a lot and made me look into

flamenco techniques which i never even dared to deal with before. I play almost all kinds of music but I chickend out when it came to flamenco.

Simple, straight to the point and very sympathic. You may be a better teacher than player, but the way you teach is a gift and I highly apreaciate it.

    Yours

    Daniel

  • you are so so pretty that \i cannot stop watching you

    sorry

  • you r so pretty I cant stop watching you

    sorry

  • That sounds so heartless and perfunctory.

In other words, you take all the techniques that you were taught and incorporate them into your way of playing. But you gorget to put some heart in it... Rumbas, gypsy music, are full of emotion... But well, you are talented though.

  • Thank you again :D

  • damn its so hardd, I have a persnal question for you, how long did it take yu to learn that, you know with yur right hand. I cannot do it, My right hand just goess off, it justt messes everythingg up. haha im good at finger picking and everything except for this right hand motion or whatever its called lol. Its so hard :/

  • It's called rasgueado. Just like most classical techniques it's best to train slow, keeping the tempo is the most important.

    Good luck practicing! :)

  • Wow. I'm glad I stumbled upon this. Must go back to the beginning and watch all of these! Thanks for the video!

  • Wow! Amazing playing, really inspiring. Not many are as skilled as you :)

  • swedish?

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, thx for the lesson Edina..;)

    It was very useful...

  • you are the most cuty girl that i ve ever seen who plays guitar. keep going :-)

  • i have the technique down after hours of practising, and it sound great however doesnt feel natural yet!

so my question is how long where you practising untill clicked and became natural to you?

i hope this makes sense, xx

  • @denni8884 I cannot remember exactly sorry. But I think I had problems with this technic...

  • disme...la major parte del ritmo es la mano???

  • Medina! jók voltatok Veszprémben. már csak a kasztanyetta hiányzik :D

  • gitar güzel ama kız daha güzelmiş aferin takdir ettim:))

  • Magic smile.

Thank you for the cool technique!

  • i love you

  • So you have golpe, up(with tumb),down all,up,down all,up,HIT,up all, down all,up(tumb). ..... that is in the part with the instructions. But when you start singing(slowly) it sound that you have only : golpe,up,down,up, HIT(early), up,down,up,,, and the continuing with golpe. Maybe i am wrong, but i can figure out with the instruction part and singing part. Regards!

  • ya I noticed that also, I suppose it could be considered a variation of the same rhythym. But when she plays fast im guessing the 10 movements are there its just too fast to conceive.

  • I start singing the rhythm with 8 movements, and it's sounds pretty good. Bun when i tried singing in the same time with the video doesn't sound good. (only in the instructional part of course). So you say that I must learn the rhythm with 10 movements as well. Thank's

  • There are 8 movements, it's what she plays, but I guess she accidentially repeats one up/down stroke when she shows the moves slowy so one may think that there are actually 10.Sometimes it's really hard to play stuff in slow motion if you are used to do it fast. It's a perfect binary rhythm. It it were 10 she must have played quintuplets and its does not sound like this.

  • Just in case I am wrong, I am a guitar player withount any clue on flamenco :-)

  • @Funkifinger You are right Funkfinger , there are 8 movements, but what's important is the accents: The beat is 4/4 , the accents on one, with golpe, two and a half, and four...al the other movments,as light as posible .

  • woooooooooooooooow

  • you are so gorgeous!

  • I really love your videos, they're really helpful!

  • you are verey good

  • Hú de király vagyok az akcentusból kiszúrtam hogy magyar :) . Köszi a lecot jól nyomod !
