i liked this solo ... i think that his time is pretty good and his phrasing is pretty good as well ... the weak link in his playing is that I think his ideas are sort of average .. dont get me wrong , he played all of his ideas very well ..nothing wrong with the way he played , its just that i think the majority of his ideas were pretty basic and standard ... i think if i heard him play in a year or two from now he would be much much better ...not that he is not good now , i want to stress that
i like the style that this starts out in. It shows people that you don't have to be loud and in your face to show technical ability, and that drumming is about precision and technique, not just doing triplets as fast and loud as you can. Well done!
I guess this should mean "learn to tune", if so you aint got a clue what it means to be to tuned. This set is tuned very well. I guess you infer from that right (on his position left) tom that it aint tuned well, but those (i forgott how those are called :o) must sound that way, it makes them what they are.
Lange Rede kurzer Sinn
Klasse Job, mir gefällts und passt wunderbar zu "Drummer of tomorrow".
Thanks to all the Lang, Bozzio and Minnemann Fans!!! I`m really sorry, but I never want to copy any of them.... all the ideas, styles and licks I use in this solo are my own and one from Benny Greb. I don`t give a fuck if Bozzio has played the same combinations! BUT THANKS!
@mareefieldDrums ...all that matters is how it sounds ... everyone steals from everyone else .... you mention Terry Bozzio , one of the most original sounding drummers i have ever heard ...but breaking his shit down , you can clearly see the Tony Williams influence ..especially with how he uses all those flams
wtf i dont understand how hes only got an average of 3 stars - and like the guy below saying this is boring... i guess he doesnt play drums.. even if he didnt how is this boring? this is amazing youve inspired me so much! good luck :D
i still stick to what i said - i can see maybe why a non-drummer would class this as quite boring, cuz its quite long without much "climax" or anything, but listen to how much feel all of this has.. i see where you're coming from but to me this is inspiring.. id love to be able to play some of those licks.
no style , must practice some metronome , copying terry bozio ( with his small and bad style ) i am sorry you can't be a drummer of tomorrow if you still go like that ... you must be a style if you want to announce your voice..
5 Sterne.
Great playing!! Rock on!

well for one its boring
second, its not to incredibly technical, its kinda basic (although some parts are fast and for the most part is very articulate and clean)
but my problem is that people like this try to recreate solos from legends and without the skill and, if i may, the ZAZZ, its well boring

Being articulate and clean is one of the most important facets of being a technical drummer...

THAT WAS FUCKING GREAT!!!

no retard. You lick your finger and run your finger along the head it makes bending kind of sound.
