  • All hail NOD

  • CONTROL THE MEDIA

    CONTROL THE MIND

  • Where's the clip for the Nod version?

  • omg saudi Arabia is controled by nod? so thats where they get there oil!!

  • So THIS is what would happen if Hitler was killed in 1922.

  • In Tiberian Dawn most of the world is controlled by GDI, and in the newer games (Tiberium Wars - Tiberium Twilight) almost the whole world is controlled by NOD.

    Interesting overturn.

  • the hole China is controlled by Nod...LOL

  • best rts ever made

  • yeeeeeeeeee gdi has almost all hte world on its side!!!! gdi is better than nod

  • I KNEW G.D.I WAS MORE POWERFULL THAN NOD! yay G.D.I!

  • damn, Russsia is under GDI =/

  • @38602 Why damn? I can even imagine GDI Ka-50s and Pak-Fas as well as Flankers, battling NOD Apaches and F-22s ;)

  • Tiberium looks rather silly in this video.

  • Glad to see Russia among the good guys. Quite unusual for American games)

  • Not really because NOD are the good guys!

  • @Bombur86 If testing flame tanks on civilian villages and launching an ICBM towards a space station, where a lot of civilians are as well, is good, then you might actually be a little screwed up ;)

  • @Simbirsk2130 Well those civilians were evil, they had it comming.

  • @Bombur86 yea, right.

  • This is AFTER the Cold War

  • @jerseythedevil There was no Cold War in the Tiberium universe. There was a Great World War II between Soviets and Allies.

  • Austrailia falls to Nod after the second game.

  • EVA voice in the original C&C = best of all

  • hey i just realised something. if tiberium landed in italy, how it get to us?

  • It kinda spreads pretty quickly.

  • spreads

  • As they said in the video. Ichor ( Tiberium ) Sucks up the minerals in the earth and it spreads very fast. They also showed what it contained..

  • Tiberium Spores

  • It was first DISCOVERED in Italy. That does not exclude the possibility of more meteors containing Tib crashing into our world. Another possibility is air flow. Blossom trees may have ejected spores into strong wind currents causing Tib to be spread through the air. Last possibility is that Nod spread it manually. It should be noted that in Tib Dawn, Nod is the biggest but not the sole harvester of Tib, others may have spread it too for commercial purposes.

  • So the first game was also called Tiberian Dawn?

When I baught for my playstation(like a century ago) It was just named Command and Conquer!

  • Nod knows how to harvest it so they also can transport tib-cargo everythere.

  • Nod spreaded it, probably.

  • it can spread underwater remember in tiberium sun the water is completely infested with it

  • From 0:42 to 0:54 she is telling us exactly how Zionism works in reality.

Its incredibly effective to have the power over the massmedia, perhaps the greatest power one can have in the world today.

  • "those damn chinese nod bastards"

    lol.

  • "Dam those war mongering GDI American, British, Russian's. "

    = ))

  • nod is Caucasian based group...

  • i was kidding...christ.

  • You'll never find a game as interesting as Tiberian dawn. The cut scenes were done perfectly, not like the newer Cnc games.

  • @forsaken6626

    deus ex

  • just to think, oil has been acting like tiberian for the last 10 years..... people fighting over it

  • Unfortunately, oil doesn't grow. Fortunately, oil doesn't grow.

...Cause well, then we'd have other things to worry about.

  • If we consider its the compressed remains of plants, then technically it does grow. Albeit rather slowly.

  • NOD isnt evil...

  • Hmmmm , replacing tiberium with 'normal' resources would be more senseful :)

  • technically tiberium uses natural resources, condenses them, and thus is a super dense deposit of natural resources...

If what you say was done, it would be like shutting down a nuclear power plant, and using a wind turbine instead... >=O

  • 1:12 "suspected to be funded by nods access to vast tiberium deposits" Wtf?..ACCESS!? ITS LYING ONTHE GROUND IN EVERY MISSION!

  • remember, this was 1995 when this game was made. world politics then were a bit different as they are now

  • why is venezuela in the nod? because chavez?!?

  • why does every Nod fanatic call for peace through power? Nod gives the power (in a way) but we have yet to see the peace. they seem intent on war with GDI which rather destroys the tired old saying a bit. but hey it's a great game.

  • I say it because Nod fanatics lack a degree of common sense, just like Nod lacks common sense.

  • DOGL,

Question: The happenings of TD are based on what outcome of Red Alert?

If Soviet, then why isn't Russia/USSR red?

If Allies, then how did NOD come into power?

I honestly don't know the answer, your input would help.

  • According to former C&C designer Adam Isgreen, Tiberian Dawn was/is meant to take place roughly 40 years after the Allied ending of Red Alert.

As for how Nod managed to emerge as such a powerhouse seemingly out of nowhere during the 1990s - the best advice I can give you is to go read the articles on the Brotherhood of Nod and Kane over at Wikipedia. They explain it in detail and also seem to be well sourced, so you have a fair guarantee that what you'll be reading there is accurate.

  • Yeah. But the RA sequels invalidated that...that means, killing Einstein... killing Kane as well!

  • There is no official documentation that states RA2 or RA3 are part of the main C&C storyline. Quite the opposite-- the Dev Team of RA3 mentioned in an interview that they view their game as taking place in a separate universe altogether.

Red Alert 1, however, is confirmed both by Westwood Studios FAQs and the "Kane's Dossier" document from Electronic Arts to be the prequel of Tiberian Dawn. RA1 and the Tiberium games form a single coherent storyline. RA2 and RA3 are just spin-off games.

  • Indeed. After all, we need an explanation on how could RA1 could evolve into TD and what events could have happened that could have altered the original CnC timeline so that RA2 and 3 would take place instead.

BTW I like all CnC games without exception. Faults are accepted as long as it doesn't take out the fun. Realism can be boring sometimes...:D

  • @DieOfGoodLuck In C&C Renagade, the Nod Temple Level, we see a plug of RA2; A Painting of the Apocalypse tanks outside of the Kremlin. Then again that game really never happened or left any impact.

  • @DieOfGoodLuck Just wanted to elaborate on this. I've noticed a lot of reviewers, even treat RA2 and RA 3 as 'the quirky little brothers' to the T series. But I didn't realize that red alert was the 'prequel' to T series

  • @DieOfGoodLuck Nod was hiding from the shadows, when the Allies won. That's why Nod equipment is mostly Allied technology.

  • @DieOfGoodLuck The wikia page for First Tiberium war says this war started 1999 and ended 2002.

  • Them Nod countries, are they supposed to be linked with communism?

  • More accurately, anti-Western sentiment. That can encompass a wide variety of things.

  • I see your point but look at the countries highlighted, i am sure they have been through communism at some point but what you said is more likely.

  • Play through the Soviet campaign of the original Red Alert game sometime. You might start to run into a few (big) surprises when you do.

  • I have and i think it is quite a good game but it can not compare to the 'tiberium' series.

  • omfg nod took overma homeland of macedonia next to greece. time to die u fkin nod bitches! i will go to ya temple prime and shoot the hell outta kane wid a chain gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • stupid person do you not see the vision of Kane?

ONE VISION ONE PURPOSE!!! PREACE THROUGH POWER!!!

we have helped you people we have brought peace to your nation help us to help you

    FOR KANE!!!

  • kane will just come back to life, and probably rip your testcles out for trying to kill him...

  • GDI lost a lot of support when they had only 20 % at the begginning of the 3rd tiberium war

  • I could have sworn that the UN was dissolved later in the Second Tiberium War and GDI took control.

  • it was this is before the Second Tiberium War

  • I like how Venezuela is NOD territory. Did we think they were evil back in the '90s before Chavez came to power?

  • Chavez is not evil - he is politician enemy of USA . Just that :)

  • Yeah Chavez is far from evil, i read he is the only one to stop the US CIA from overthrowing a democratically elected government.

For all that don't know, the US has initiated 36 unclassified Military Coup De Tats since the end of the second World War; to establish a military dictatorship in those regions, the dictator being loyal to US bureaucracy.

  • god dam it.

  • Haha I now remember that Switzerland was neutral in the GDI/Europe campaign until the very last mission. However since this game has been released, we've joined the UN, too...

  • This is an awesome game, still, to this day. Westwood created ONE HELL of a story that parallels much with our current state of affairs. Amazing foresight.

  • russia belongs to gdi!

  • What about Vatican City?

Is in GDI side or... in NOD side?

I can´t see it clearly... XD

  • It's probably not aligned with either side, since in real life it refuses to take sides in armed conflict, and it also would not support a cultist religion like Nod, so if places like Mongolia can be neutral, Vatican City should DEFINITELY be neutral.

  • However, in the Third Tiberium War all of Italy turned into a Red Zone (Areas of the planet that were contaminated by vast amounts of Tiberium).

Also, in Red Alert the Soviets has taken over Italy. It is very likely that they destroyed or massacred Vatican City like they did with Greece.

  • GDI cant loose... we have kangaroos from Australia!

  • Look out! It's Kangaroo Jack!

  • DOWN WITH GDI!

  • HAHAHA GDI has much more land under thier controll & NOD will soonbe cruched... ... ... lol i could resist

  • one thing to remember about this map, is that this world is based on that founded by the alternate Einstein in Red alert when he killed Hitler, can we really assume that the countries created after the alternate WW2 against the USSR would have the same political leanings the countries in our time line have?

  • The problem Red Alert was released after Tiberian Dawn, so by this time they hadn't thought of that alternate timeline yet.

  • Peace Through Power! You Can't Kill The Messiah!

  • Russia support GDI LOL :P

  • USA is nod for sure

  • wtf fuck westwood ....you call china NOD...USA is fukcing nod

  • Also, the China of 1993 and the China of today can not really be considered the same country in several ways. It's frankly nothing short of remarkable how China has build itself out to nearly first world status in barely two decades.

  • This map only shows the stance that each individual nation "officially" took in the original conflict. Yet that official stance doesn't necessarily reflect the sentiment amongst the majority of its people. It was pretty obvious Nod enjoyed much more support across the world than this map gave them credit for, for example.

Take a hint. Politics will always be politics.

  • That and the First Tiberium War was partially waged around economic standing; Nod really built itself up out of Third World countries that had been had been poor and weak before Tiberium arrived. I think China was really the wealthiest country that Nod had swayed, and I suspect that caused the rest of the UN to shit bricks when a Security Council member started supporting Nod.

  • we are nod. LOL...

Give me my stealth tank I'm tired of traffic.

  • Thanks dude nice tribute

  • Dude wtf? No its not "GDI" has always been classed at GDI Watch the First decade DVD On C&C95 And u know what i mean

  • UNGDI

    United Nations Global Defence Initiative

to shorten that ppl called it GDI and the name stuck

  • Like i said 'based on real life'

  • It's the "United nations global defense initiative" according to the wikipedia entries, the planetC&C cannon compilation and (I think)one of the intelligence files in C&C3. And no, no real similarity, since GDI doesn't really care about control of tiberium (until it's too late and the world's infested).

  • Not to mention that they state pretty bluntly throughout the game that GDI was formed *by* the UN to uphold the UN charter. It doesn't matter whether GDI has "UN" in front of its name or not, all that matter si sthat they were formed and funded by the UN, back when countries actually mattered in the Tiberium world.

  • it is NOT called united nations global defense initative, and yes this DOES parellel modern warfare and strategy. The Information it is showing would be an fictional but accurate assumption of WHICH countries WOULD be associated with WHO.

and i believe China would associate itself with whoever is against the United States, for there own reasons including Assymetric warfare and resource aquisition... They did say that Nod controlled over half of the worlds known supply of tiberium.

  • this was based on us foriegn policy and international realtions at the time yes.

  • omg china supporting nod?

  • Remember that the story for this game was originally written in 1993. China has changed a great deal since, and as a special type of NIC (newly industrialized country) it is far more likely to have been classified as a GDI member state by today's standards.

  • Probably not...China is still politically repressive and would be more likely to be pro-Nod, imo.

  • Saudi Arabia and China supporting NOD? Hmmmm...

  • This is based on real life. They have named the sides GDI and NOD this is what is happening at the moment... i think

  • Um, no it is not. The knuckledheads we're dealing with have extremely low tech weaponry, the GDI is a worldwide United Nations force, hence the name United Nations Global Defense Initiative. Little to no similarities to real life.

  • i heard Billy dee Willaims is in this game is this true

  • Yes. It's true. He is the director of the GDI. But he is not too positive character in the game. :)

  • ohh shit this is so awsome! i remember this cut scene

  • What if in 2030 life will actually be like that?

Ill be 40 years old when it happens! ill be to old to fight for the betyter side, which is GDI

  • Nod is the better side...

  • Then we don't they ever win?

  • You're right nodloyalist. The truth is that the themes, feeling, and even tactics presented in this game were well ahead of their time. Amazing stuff when you think about it.

  • Actually, not really. There's a considerable difference between Nod and Islamic terrorists.

  • At least there was until C&C3. Come on, militant squads, RPG troopers, WMDs and suicide bombers?

  • Since when does Al-Quaeda had Tanks? Bases? An own (just for it's group) religion? One great Leader? Obelisks?

  • The parallels I find in real life and in this video are fascinating and frighting. GDI has one goal elimate multi-national terrorism in an effort to preserve freedom. NOD an anicent and secret society maintains strong ties with most global terrorist organizations. Hmmmm.... I don't know, but it sounds a lot like what North America and Europe is doing in the Middle East fighting Al-Quaeda!

  • Sure it does.

  • But Nod is fictional organization is far more evil then real terrorists.

  • Nod terrorists and real world terrorists are probably as evil. Except Nod is more richer via Tiberium and has gained upper hand in the economy hence the technology and arsenal they have.

  • Yea , terrorists and countries of 3rd world uses AK-47 , T-72 , and other but in game NOD is using American weapons . WTF ?

  • Insurgents in Iraq ues M16 and other westen arnaments . So its not that crazy.

  • Yeah, the Department of Defense just admitted selling terrorist organization huge stockpiles of personnel combat weapons.

They say they "lost track of resale"

but to anyone familiar with political science that just means they laundered the weapons to maintain plausible deniability.

  • Source, plz.

  • its common knowledge just search it in google you lazycommie.

Why do i have to do what you should be doing.

  • Burden of proof is always on the claimant. When you make a statement, back it up with a source. Otherwise it's bull.

  • Dude just search it in google

    its a page away

  • nytimes(.)com/2009/05/20/world/asia/20ammo(.)html

  • dawn(.)com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/the-newspaper/front-page/stolen-us-arms-being-used-in-swat-ispr-059

  • there how do you like them apples..

Next you'll be telling me the US FMF is incapable of proper oversight for these procurement policies.

  • The second link(which too entirely too long to get to work, did you really need to throw those extra spaces in there?) is similar to the one above it.

The Afghani military and police force are inept, too inept to manage to keep track of their weapons. That should be a given anyway, because they're not capable of anything significant militarily.

Again, a solid link to something about the DoD actually selling the weapons to terrorists in Afghanistan, please.

  • The DOD has been selling weapons to terrorists since the 1950s...

Its common knowledge, The largest and most prominent. arms procurement to terrorists was in 1978 where the US sent huge caches of weapons to radical Islamic insurgencies to "suck" the Russians into Afghanistan.

  • There are tons of declassified operations which deal exclusively with Arms procurement to terrorists organizations in order to create pretext for direct intervention or to allow them to further destabilize a region which may hold water with real US opposition.

The original links just display the sloppy ways in which they are currently procuring arms to terrorist to allow a permanent garrison/protectorate within a sovereign nation.

  • Other well known operations which involve US arms procurement to terrorist include the bulk of CIA activities in the Near East, North Africa, South and Southwest Asia, and the lower Americas.

The term common knowledge means sources are so abundant, the request for a source only institutes the requester's eagerness to refute information as fallacy.

  • I think you mean "indicates". While the gov has sold weapons to various groups, we did so largely to fight other enemies(under the idiotic assumption that the enemy of our enemy is our friend, he isn't).

Still, sources are necessary when making claims.

  • Then link to them.

  • Again, source.

  • interesting movie.
