  • You shouldn't forget the Sega Dreamcast verson... It was the same as the PC :D , even the playability was great (the joystick was designed perfectly, and the graphics were amazing :D )

  • Good review mate, especially giving Trent his dues :-)

  • this guy is hardcore

  • the THUNDER BOLT

did they really used to call it that

  • I LOVE THIS! I'm probably gonna do this playthrough at the very beginning of the new year!

  • great review man...no offense but you have just about the most stereotypical voice I've ever heard.

  • @m3gadork i second that.... but hey amazing reviews man... :D

  • @m3gadork this guy kinda sounds like microsoft mike

  • This series is great. I love your professional style.

  • alright! new video. Really awesome series!

  • I liked the way you said "juicy pieces" made me LOL mmmmm juicy pieces.

  • Highly looking forward to your Team Fortress review! Great series, keep them coming!

  • Your pronounciation of gib scares and confuses me, I always thought that it was a hard g, not a j-sound (like Grand, not Gem).

  • The shotgun sounds in Quake were awful, agree otherwise about the great sound effefcts, really enjoy this series and have followed your reviews over the past few years.

  • Luduc Alberta loves your work my friend :)

  • Nice look back on Quake... For such an innovative game, it certainly hasn't aged well... I was a little worried that you were going to overlook Team Fortress but I see you plan on dedicating an entire episode to it

  • The zombies sound like my sleeping dad XD.. and the best "Trap" is when you hit a switch, ceiling comes down and you thing "okay, i lost.." and then right above you the ceiling opens and you got lifted up to the exit..

  • Love your videos my good sir keep them coming please :)

  • Love these ID reviews. Btw, did you have a different youtube review show earlier? I seem to remember some such thing.

  • great job mate, as usual:)

  • I have to say, this game looks amazing and I might want to give it another try.

I remember back in the day, the N64 version of Quake gave me terrible motion sickness and I just never picked up any game in the series again until Quake Live.

  • Another excellent video! Though you seem to have skipped Heretic and Hexen. They brought innovation to the genre despite having the same engine as Doom. Inventory, ambient sound, heavy scripting and hubbed levels being the main ones.

  • I remember qtest coming out and playing it on my overclocked 486 150MHz machine, and then getting the shareware CD at Best Buy for 1 penny later on. I found it overall to be a fun game, but it still just wasn't as fun as Doom was to me.

  • Quake Forever!!

  • I love Quake, i love NIN and i love ID.

    So its all awesome =)

  • Oh how I love you Quake! ! ! ! ! I still play Quake and Quake 2 to this day! ! ! ! !

  • I love Quake,

The levels had awesome design and atmosphere (especially the Medieval styled ones), enemies were savage, weapons had awesome sounds and the music was amazing.
