@HelenaXVI For the Romanian I can testify if I am permitted to say so that they acted honorably. The Romanian army never involved itself in such acts. There isn't a record of such acts. As for the Romanian Army reputation on the battlefield I can say that they fought pretty well when considering that they were fighting with outdated weapons and no anti-tank weaponry. The Germans themselves made mistakes in Stalingrad.

As for the Red Army, being composed of drunkards, is well known.

A thing she has always tried to strees in her reminiscences is the dramatic difference of atitude between germans and russians. Second, Ion Antonescu himself had acknowledged that the Romanians had joined the war out of racial hatred for the Russians. Third, if the Ukrainian men were staying at home and hiding their women, then apparently their experiences with the Romanians must have been bad.
