Never saw Mr. Caviezel before this show. Never saw Passion, but since POI, I've taken a peek at The Thin Red Line (phenomenal), two episodes of The Prisoner, Pay It Forward, Angel Eyes (sweet). I've ordered Frequency. I've ordered the Count of Monte Cristo. If Hollywood ostracized this guy for whatever reason, then Hollywood is stupid. This guy not only has stunning good looks, but he has tremendous range as an actor.

He is and will be the reason people will continue to watch this show.

This show reminds me of the classic pulp fiction hero novels of the 30s and 40s (such as The Spider or The Shadow), but written for a modern and intelligent audience. As a lifelong fan of that genre of fiction, I've longed for a modern version and thanks to JJ, Jonah & CBS we have it.

This is easily my favorite new show of the season, and with BBC's Spooks gone, this is quickly becoming my favorite show PERIOD. (Sorry, Fringe. I still love you too, but only as a friend.)

this is an incredible show. I heard about it, and gave it a shot.... I ended up watching all 8 episodes in 2 nights and now I can't wait for the new episode. Both Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson are such amazing actors, especially when working together.. plus JJ Abrams, this is just an brilliant show. For me, as a 16 year old girl, to my 9 year old brother and my dad, we all love it! :)

Oh man. This show is like...Minority Report meets "24". lol Must say that Reese's character is reminiscent of Jack Bauer in many ways but at the same time, the show has a much more toned down vibe. Three things are always apparent with J.J. Abrams. 1. An on going main plot. 2. A subplot involving the unravel of the character. and 3. A deeper plot that involves some bigger organization. And Michael Emerson is a genius counter to Reese's monotone character. Really loving this show so far.

James Caviezel had been abducted and right after they got him out of the two rear doors of a van, one of the actors slammed one of the doors HARD !!! As the door was being slammed you could see an actor still in the van bent over in front of the door. WHAM !!! Door right to the noggin'. You could see the actor in the shadows inside the van holding his head as he walked into the area of the other still opened door. OUCH !!!

Overall, it is just a season premiere. Hope it can last through season one.

There's a scene where the gloved black leather blazered corrupt cop forces a hostage victim to hold onto the gun while he aimed at a targeted victim. His saliva lands on the hostage's clothes as he brags and intimidates his hostage. That DNA that can be recovered in the crime scene. Duh for a corrupt black leather cop!

If the advanced computer can't tell whether the person is victim, criminal, or witness how does it know the person is connected to that future crime? The only way it could know is if it "sees" the person at the crime scene, and by doing that it's not calculating, it's literally viewing into the future which is impossible. I will pass...

@g5e0987 Well, it could be (and what i'm about to say might be completely ridiculous) that it's sort've like performing regression on a list of data points and fitting it to a function. The computer can predict where the functions (the collection of variables, in this case people), will intersect, but if there are multiple outcomes it can't verify which is true (aka who is the victim or perp), and can only tell Finch and Reese where to look (the 'intersection').
