Another reason why you wouldn't be sent to the Burns Unit for singing "Auld Lang Syne": English people (I'm completely shocked that Stephen Fry of all people did this) and because of them, sadly, a lot of Scots sing it as "Auld Lang Zine", which is totally and utterly wrong. It's written as "Syne" because you sing it as "Sign"
