    I'm dissapointed Ubuntu user :(

  • Mac OS X beats all!!!!

  • Ubuntu 10.10 is the best in my opinion :D

  • hey Jerk, you must using ubuntu 12 not 11.. what the??

  • new ubuntu is deadly

  • windows 8 is best os in the world it can installed in tablet pc and smartphone it's universal os and best os in the world i love windows and bing

windows win vs all the enemies and jaleous

i love powershell 3 and scripting it's best than shit bash unix ,

  • @wokerm the best tool and complet plateform it's can learning programation for child with best programm like small basic

it can realise a best project with visual studio best edi on the world it's can share document with best service skydrive it's can easy to work with word powerpoint easily ,latex................etc one word it best os in the universe i love it and i'm a fan of microsoft i love bing and all product and research of microsoft is best kinect pc nokia lumia xbox microsoft research

  • @wokerm in medecine like phylod programm and nanorobot technologie , i love painless glycerine

  • @wokerm microsoft are contibute to the open source is not enemies of open source , but i dislike fucking richard stallman crazy man

  • @LIEnucksFAILS Not you again. Seriously, you're a zealot. Windows is an inflexible piece of garbage OS that doesn't deserve a seat at the modern OS table. There is NO reason on the world for an OS to take 15 GB of storage to pull off what Windows does. If this doesn't serve as an indicator, then there isn't anything else that will.

  • @isantop you can run windows 8 from an usb without installing it. JA!

    just wait and see.

  • @LG141602 We've been doing that here since 2009. Not exactly innovating there.

What's the installed footprint? How much space does it eat up on a clean installation?

  • @isantop I know you can do that on ubuntu but ubunto is very light, but it takes a long time to load, I think all current OS's are great each one is made for different needs.

Space who cares about space, compurers today have like 1-2 terabites of space

  • @LG141602 I don't know what type of computers you work with, but 1-2 Terabytes of storage is only really common in high-end desktops. Most PCs are sold with 500-750 GB of storage, and laptop drives only come in sizes up to 750GB

SSDs are gaining traction fast. Space is a big issue.

BTW, the computers I work with boot Ubuntu in ~12-15 seconds, on traditional hard drives. The SSD models boot in half that.

  • @isantop yeah its a high-end desktop 7 I also have an ssd and windows 8 boots in less than 7 secs

  • @LG141602 Booting up in <10 sec. is pretty easy for a high-end desktop on any OS. I'm talking about a sub-$1000 laptop. We had an entry-level desktop (i5-650, 4GB RAM, SSD) that booted Ubuntu in 6 seconds flat from BIOS end to usable desktop.

  • what the h did you do to ubuntu?!?!?!? my netbook neeeevvver takes that long to boot and your using waaaaay too much cpu

  • Windows 8 Beta

    Ubuntu is a fundamental

waiting for the full version from 12.4

  • Dammmmnnnn dellll sucks... Oh well... UBUNTU ALL TEH FRICKEN WAYY

  • @funride123456789 Have fun waiting 3 minutes for Shitbuntu to boot up while I enjoy gaming on Win8. Don't forget to deal with the Unity crap bugs.

  • I really never saw even one computer with Ubuntu booting such slow and using processors like this video shows, I really think that this video is a fucking fraud. I have installed Ubuntu in hundreds of different computers and all my experience is favorable for Linux if compared with Windows, only Mac is a decent competitor for Linux Ubuntu.

  • @markocerda One reason why Ubuntu seems to draw more cpu time I think is that it by default slows down the CPU clock when it's not performing any demanding tasks, just that the system monitor in Ubuntu doesn't seem take this in account. For example, i've got a dual core at 2.5 GHz but most of the time Ubuntu sets it to run at 800 MHz.. If i force the CPU to run at full speed (with setCPU or similar) and then run the system monitor, cpu usage is typically around 2% or less...

  • xa xa xa...............

  • Windows forever..!!!!!!!!!

  • ubuntu has really fucked up with the unity thing but you still have to admit windows still looks gay (no offense) but it's true, but everything has it's up and down sides so no one can really win for sure

  • show me Windows 8 FINAL version result vs Ubuntu.

Don't give me this crap result. No one on their right mind (No fanboy, retarded and anything similar) will see this as an equal comparison between 2 operating system.

*English is not my primary language*

  • Win8 wins nothing IMO. Boot time when talking that short amount of time is nothing in an overall picture of FREE OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE. Average PC users who facebook, email, and use office type apps shouldn't be practically forced Windows down their throats when they can buy equivalent hardware with NO OS and put Ubuntu on it with relative ease OR UbuTech LLC can do it for them. ;-). Good video none the less. Now show win8 running on 5 year old hardware and I might be mildly impressed.

  • @Ubuntuaddicted I understand: you are mad since the tables have been turned around. Prior to Windows 8's debut, the horde Lunix fanboys couldn't stop praising their nerd OS for booting up a few seconds quicker than Windows on the same hardware and concluded that Lunix wins.

This video simply demonstrates the mess that Shitbuntu has become; it's bloated, it's slow, and it's useless.

Boot time does matter, or so the Lunix fanboys used to say. Ironic, isn't it?

  • Shitdows 8 is free now, because it's still BETA, dumbest cock. Lol

  • @DrHouseATIforever Suck a cock, dumb faggot.

  • I dont understand why so many dont like Unity, i really like it :)

  • All I think about when I hear of Linux is: Server.

I don't think pretty much any Linux distribution would be able to beat Windows in terms of no. of people using the OS due to it's lack of software and alternatives to the lacking software, software performance (for ex. Flash runs much better on Windows than it does on Linux; but sometimes Linux software runs better than in Windows; for ex. Java) and it's desktop (I really think that Unity and Gnome 3 are a big joke, IMO)

  • @NextInvader Java runs way better on Windows, check it out:

    watch?v=pXOMw9bQoPU

  • Wow, the speed of Windows makes ubuntu look bloated

  • @Andrew35133 Yeah, time to switch back to Windows 8. The reason why Ubuntu is so slow in my case is that the hard disk was formatted as ReiserFS and I had a 2GB RAM. Once I get a RAM upgrade to 4GB and a new hard disk, I'll install Windows DP to avoid upgrade problems. I can't wait to return to Windows once and for all! If only Windows 8 could install and read not just FAT32 and NTFS but also ReiserFS, ext2/3/4, HFS, JFS, btrFS and the upcoming ReFS, then there'll be a comparison ..

  • @Warblefly41 NTFS is very smooth non-stable and high fragmented garbage FS. Alsj as Shitdows. Lienucks may be shit too, but it's free and I don't wan't to buy very expensive licensed version of Shitdows on my country. Pirated Shitdows bloated more than licensed version.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS Micro$oft manage to make a GameOs that look like unity but faster??

let see the final product because the BETA is BETA.My eclipse run faster in 11.10 but Battlefield is always faster in GameOS (but if you want GameOS buy Playstation4 is start faster then win8).

  • @METAL2K100 No games run on Lunix, what you smoking, dumbass?

  • @LiEnucksFAILS check Linux my friend PlayONLinux now linux have also native Direct X

  • @METAL2K100 Liar. Prove it.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS At first, Unity was the worst thing I'd ever seen. Now, Unity is the BEST thing I've ever seen. So stop swearing over the matter. Anyway, Linux is FREE and OPEN SOURCE. So I can make my own distribution if I like.

  • @md678685 I guess what's why Ubuntu is no longer #1 on distrowatch, huh? Tons of nerds have abandoned it over pure distaste of the unity crap.

These are the facts. Mint is #1 now.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS If you've seen toastytech's GUI Gallery, you'd know Mint is an OS that rooted through the trash can to find an interface called "GNOME 3" which is the worst I've ever seen.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS

What a grown up language you have too! :)

  • @LiEnucksFAILS mint kills windows 8 :P

  • @LiEnucksFAILS yeah and the metro shit ruined windows. :\

  • @Xaahu Windows 8 will surpass all of LiEnucks usage share (that's 1000+ distros) in mere minutes once it gets released.

    Cry in shame.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS nope. linux is still more awesome. even though most people use windows.

  • @Xaahu I used both, Lunix is garbage. Plain and simple. Check some of the videos on my channel to learn why.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS no its not. its the most awesome OS in the world. anyways it depends on u. if u think windows is easire FOR YOU, you should use it. linux works for me so i use it.

  • @Xaahu Obviously, you haven't had the balls to watch any of the videos on my channel, here is one of them:

    watch?v=BowpcBLm7hA

That's why it's a bloated piece of shit bug ridden OS.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS Once again you dodge another youtube question and this time from compyfixer lol. You can't even admit that windows has far more problems than Ubuntu. And your videos are as shit in quality as your comments. =]

  • @LiEnucksFAILS can windows use sparc cpu? can windows be modded to use as your own home built os for HW that you design? Can windows be run flawlessly from a usb? Is windows the most secure os out there? Can you legally modify windows to look, act and feel the way you want it?

  • @compyfixer Yes to all of that. In fact, Windows 8 already runs from a USB. Dance.

  • @Xaahu Exactly. I can't even play a free online multiplayer building game without Metro crashing. So what if I can't play games on Ubuntu. But Mint + GNOME 3 = the worst interface I have EVER seen.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS windows 8 is shit, ubuntu is ok but better off going with archlinux

  • @onlycicala you're shit.

  • ok overkill windows fanboy... btw I use windows

  • @LiEnucksFAILS On the bright side, Ubuntu doesn't look like HTML + AIDS, unlike Windows 8. Microsoft said it was risky, and after installing Server 8, I see why.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS but you know, that mint is based on Ubuntu!?

  • windows will be like that until they add the crap

  • I use Ubuntu, and Windows, and i cant wait for Windows 8. But im open minded and a tech enthusiest when it comes to new OS's and designs. I love how windows is really changing its UI. I love change, good or bad. .... However Apple.... mental block.

  • wow it boots a rip of windows phone faster, what do you expect 8 is the gayest OS Microsoft ever made

  • @dachshund103 gayest? so is it the happiest? or the one that likes other windows?

  • @dachshund103 So you're saying that this OS makes men love other men?

    Make sense.

BTW, it has that tiles interface as well as the regular desktop, so yes, it is faster and not just a rip of Windows Phone line of OSes

  • @NextInvader idiot

  • @dachshund103 Ahahaha, this makes me laugh.

Thanks for calling me an idiot without anything to back you up.

I can call you an idiot for not understanding what sarcasm is.

  • wow so many dislikes. Ubuntu user, are you mad?

  • @65Hyper well then just ignore the second part of my comment, I was just making a point and the description is referring to the video as a resource comparison. Doesn't mean the comments have to be about resource comparisons. I'm comparing them in general, not strictly to resource comparisons. And why #fail? YouTube doesn't use hash tags. Double fail.

  • This is a developer preview version, so i think that it's lighter than the final version, we should wait before doing a real comparison.

  • my ubuntu startup fastest then yours...

  • oh, you forgot to put the grub countdown to 0 :P and...... Arch Linux is the best :P

  • I've installed Ubuntu/Unity - it does have a slower boot than other current Linux distros out there... even LinuxMint - which it is based on.

However; POWER-users learn Linux/UNIX (Ubuntu, Solaris, RedHat, Debian,...).

The internet's root servers won't be running Server2008 anytime soon, LOLZ.

Linux is more than simply what is the best desktop:

Yes, it is pure freedom; but it also provides the best (AND free) platform/software for the top experts in Networking, Security, and Development.

  • Comment removed

  • Love the dislikes, the ubuntu fans are so mad lol

  • compare ubuntu to windows 7 boot

    UBUNTU WINS :D

  • Why are you comparing a stripped down powerless preview to a failed experiment? There's no reason to do this. Come back when you can make a decent comparison video.

  • @Rifalltoo This April will make for a better comparison, I think - Ubuntu 12.04 LTS vs Windows 8 Beta

  • @Kelvari7882 So once again, you'll put up a working code in progress against a stripped down powerless preview?

  • @Rifalltoo How about we do it in March, when both will be in Beta, then? Stripped-down powerless preview vs stripped-down powerless preview.

  • @Kelvari7882 Still not an accurate representation since both previews will be at different stages of development and the finished products will have different levels of extra features as well as different kinds of added features compared to their respective betas. Bottom line, always compare completed code to completed code.

  • Comment removed

  • @1lann As the description says, it is a resource comparison, not a feature comparison. #fail

  • Nice comparsion!

  • As a Windows user since windows first came out i have now switched to Linux OpenSuse 12.1 and i will not switch back to windows. Too much costly programs, too much usage of resources and just sick of al the service packs constantly have changed what an operating system should be to me.

  • @RCTPatriot75 both are free for now

  • @RCTPatriot75 well you do need to buy the hardware

  • @RCTPatriot75 Windows 8 Dev Preview is free too :)

  • @LiEnucksFAILS ya... till march 12

  • @abhijitrucks question I have a p4 1.7 a 128mb grafics card and 2g memory and i run 11.10 can i run windows 8?

  • @METAL2K100 of course... windows 8 is specifically designed to work with ALL computers... the minimun requirements are (for 32 bit) : 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM & a DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher drive.

  • windows always kicks ass. :D and im an ubuntu user

  • @Xaahu then use windows

  • @SgtCraigHart1 i do use both now. :) i just got windows 7 like 2 hours ago :P

  • @Xaahu nice :> i like GNU/Linux alot better for differnt reasons but being raised on windows and then switching is difficult but only because of the games (for me) have fun br0

  • :(

  • I like Ubuntu better still (: Boot time doesn't show which gets work done better (:

  • Do 11.10 Less bugs (:

  • Hibernate windows?

  • @GustavoFire no is really

  • This is ridiculous. I can't believe I wasted my time with this...

  • Thumbs up for Mandriva :D

  • Well I see some people have fallen cripple to 'uniformity' in society, that doesn't seem to allow for open minds... Microsoft's 'Cathedral' style of developing software is already doomed to fail in the future simply because open source software projects often have large community's of people that help debug and implement new features to their programs. This allows for programs to be built faster and with the perspective of many... no cares you use software that doesn't give you free speech... ;)

  • and well format on windows.

  • I know. Which operating system requires more error reporting. Oh Wait I know Windows. Which operating system is for idiots who are affraid to use a computer? Oh wait Windows. Which operating system sucks up more system resources ? Hey windows again Which os requires us to do the most reinstalls? Hey Windows does it again?

  • @summer20105707 Sounds like you're going mental over here, what's wrong?

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy

    Windows 7 here: 0 crashes, 0 problems, 0 viruses.

Ha ha haaa..... Seeing is believing LOL ROFL

  • @summer20105707 LOL, you in denial, monkey? I've got millions of people with the same experience. You must be living in the days of Windows 95.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy

Millions??? Ha ha haa I seriously doubt it. Actually I've had the XP experience and I didn't care much for it. 98 was actually better. LOL

  • @summer20105707 My bad, LOL, make that BILLIONS. Look up OS usage share on the internet or something, retard.

  • Keep making yourself feel better, the world runs off the GNU/Linux OS build... for the reason that a basic programmer can make his system do anything he wants. ;)

  • @Diabolist11 In your dreams faggot, industrial, enterprises, entertainment, and gaming industries use Windows.

LiEnucks = 1% usage share on PCs (a $200 billion market) LOL.

  • ein veraltetes ubuntu mit einem development win zu vergleichen is erbärmlich, vergleicht ein bleeding edge OS wie archlinux mit win 7 dann ist es fair und da ist der unterschied erheblich!!!

  • Yea, Windows 8 is fast beacuse it is a fucking tablet OS!!! They have changed nothing(you can't see source code).

  • jajajaj es evidente que el pc que aloja Ubuntu tiene grandes problemas de arranque.. Ubuntu no se demora tanto para cargar... Shit out!

    Ubuntu the best ever....

  • Comment removed

  • Ubuntu sucks. To be clear, the Linux kernel was Never intended to be anymore then a hackers weekend project. Besides that you can compile your kernel on a GNU/Linux System like what I use... Gentoo... and leave out all the garbage you don't need... my laptop boots a fully functional System that i use daily in 10s. You Windows 'die hard' fans love to exclaim how fast and amazing 'your' new OS is, but you didn't even contribute to actually building it? Your computer owns u, I am Free.

  • @Diabolist11 Shitbuntu sucks, and the LiEnucks kernel is bloated, according to Linus.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy compared to other kernels not at all... but linus wants it to be less bloated than it is now

  • @emewify Haven't you watched the video above? Shitbuntu boots a minute later than Windows 8 = bloated.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy have you ever heard of uefi secure boot? thats what microsoft claims to be the reason that windows 8 boots so fast not the size of the kernel

  • @emewify If you actually read the Windows 8 blog, you wouldn't be making yourself stupid now.

  • I stopped using ubuntu when unity became standard.

  • @Twili6 Unity is a piece of shit. Good job.

  • LOL, this video proves that LiEnucks is a bloated piece of shit that takes forever to boot.

    Bloated piece of shit.

    Windows FTW.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy

It loads slower. Holy crap, it's now a bloated piece of shit!

Now I do admit, Windows 8 DID load pretty damned fast, but that doesn't mean Linux is shit.

  • @HelloIamXTD Duh?

Do you know who Linus Torvalds is? (the guy who wrote the LiEnucks kernel)?

He admits that the LiEnucks kernel is hugely bloated these days. Look it up on Google. You fanboys are such turds.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy Even though Ubuntu 11.10 loads faster than both Windows 7 and Mac OS X?

  • @jjoeshaw I tested Shitbuntu 11.10 and Win7 on my laptop, close, but Win7 boots a bit faster. Both were clean installs. Shitbuntu is bloated.

  • mmm porque no 1 1.10?

  • ha! my ubuntu is a LOT faster

  • Good video and while this video is correct in presentation it kind of foregoes the most important point of using Linux. Which is a multitude of things. One thing is free and open. The other point is Ubuntu at one point was very quick to boot, but they are actually working on a new product. Personally I'm not a fan of Ubuntu, but intelligently I know that they have good version and bad versions. Fast version and slow versions.

  • lol @ Linux Users. They Mad.

  • @robloxlover55 well, it is faster than windows 7 and mac os x lion for the time being. but still, windows 8 is primarily a tablet OS simply because of the Metro UI. It isn't ready for the desktop yet - it just defeats the object of a desktop. Although it looks nice, the reason Windows 8 took a lot less longer to load is because there is a lot less to load.

  • @jjoeshaw Wrong on so many levels, Windows 8 runs all of the programs on Windows 7, thus, it's a fully functional desktop environment. You jelly?

  • Comment removed

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy No I'm not "jelly". 'Cos, unlike you, I don't get jealous of operating systems.

  • @jjoeshaw Check out the benchmarks links on my channel. LiEnucks is only 10x slower than Windows thanks to the shitty Intel drivers that run on it, in fact, thanks to every other shitty driver that runs on it (nvidia and AMD included).

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy beats windows and mac in most tests.

  • Top comments are by WinBlows buffs.

  • yes yes w8 is winer fuck ubuntu hahahaha

  • WHY DID THEY HAVE TO USE UBUNTU NOT MAC..UBUNTU IS A FREE OS. YA HAVE TO LOOK AT UBUNTU TO TAKE FROM THEM TO MAKE WIN8 BETTER. WHAT EVER YOU DO THE UBUNTU PEOPLE WILL MAKE IT BETTER. YA JUST FEAR IN LOSING MONEY. LIKE I SAID ITS A FREE OS CAN YA DO THAT AND MAKE IT FREE FOR THE PEOPLE..WHY DONT YA USE A MAC. AND STOP TAKING OTHER PEOPLES IDEALS THAT ARE FREE AND MAKE MONEY FROM IT..UBUNTU IS A FREE OS...DONT LET THEM PUT THE FEAR IN YOU...

  • Im not saying linux is worthless, It has its uses, CERN seems to prefer linux for whatever reason.

The main problem with linux first and freaking foremost is DRIVER SUPPORT, I just tried out the new ubuntu and after 3 releases since 10.10 they have yet to include a driver that works with my (very common) broadcom chipset.

The only way i would use linux is if i could build the entire computer from the ground up with hardware that supports linux otherwise you end up with a broken system.

  • Why is this downvoted so much? =/

  • Windows 8 is light years ahead of ubuntu lol.

  • @skilo1983

Yeah wait till you see how this performs a few months after you get it. Once all the spyware and hackers figure out how to crack it. It inevitably will be slowed down.

  • @summer20105707 Im running windows 7 now without antivirus. I try to hack it all the time with metasploit lol nada.

I fully patched windows machine is as safe as ubuntu provided the user isint an idiot that downloads a virus from an obvious hacker site.

The only way you could hack my pc would be if you are smart enough to code your own 0 day exploit or social engineer me into downloading something (wich wont happen) lolz.

All it really takes to avoid viruses is a little common sense.

  • @skilo1983 LOL. Yup. The "you'll get a virus on Windows" is as retarded as asking a LiEnucks moron to intentionally download a virus for LiEnucks on their box.

Speaking of exploits, the LiEnucks foundation (linux .com) and its kernel webpage (kernel . org) were all compromised by a trojan last month, which had gained root access and everything. LOL.

    watch?v=bOz0FNeIL8s

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy LOL now THAT is funny.

Really it all comes down to the end user, If the end user is a dumb fuck then chances are they are going to be easily social engineered or they will be dumb enough to download some obvious virus.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy

Your not looking at it from the logical numbers standpoint. More than 75% of all home computers are probably windows machines. So theres a much higher chance that those viruses are aimed at the largest segment of the market rather then the lowest. But in all serious fairness. Have you tried Linux? In my opinion its an unbeatable value for something that is FREE. It actually reminds me of my Amiga 1200 3.0 workbench.

  • @summer20105707 Windows is free, if you're not a retard, that is.

  • @summer20105707 False, Windows has a 93% market share.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy

I was being conservative when I said 75%.Windows is free? Since when? It's commercial software. The only way its free is if you download, hack it, swipe it or have somebody give it to you. Billionaire Bill got his mansion money from someplace

  • @summer20105707 As I said, it's free if you're not a retard. A person with a good enough IQ would just build their computer and download it and run it. $0 cost.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy <-- TinyDick heret has around 100 fake accounts, so he can thumb up himself. He is also called AliBaba for that reason.

  • @MsPwain I guess I'll call you Nazi Hitler then, LOL, you sure are mature for a 40 year old/sarcasm.

  • @BattlePikeQueerLucy

Well I love that you're not paying the pricks anyway. I've personally sworn never to purchase another Microsoft product.

  • @summer20105707 Congrats, you're not a retard. Why pay for Windows when you can download it for free. Certainly beats the shit out of LiEnucks (on which nothing works).

  • @summer20105707 Anyone can change your root password on your LiEnucks box via runlevel 1 (single user mode).

  • @LiEnucksFails4

Well theres where you and I differ. I don't mind Linux. I find it a refreshing break from my crap bloated XP. When you say nothing works I think you mean to say nothing that you like works. I find there are alot of things that work well on it for me. I should try the trick you mentioned for changing the password though.
