  • this thing has exactly the features I want. wish someone would make something like this.

  • Why don't they just fuckin make it already? Damn.

  • @OrionHeights167 cause its gay toyota needs bigger trucks

  • I really like this concept, but think I would prefer the Open Cargo Coupe Concept.

  • that thing is freakin brilliant .. seriously the big 3 better look out.

  • I think that it is a shame that this vehicle never made it to production. This would be a nice vehicle for the twenty something guy who lives in the city but like to go camping or is just very active in general. It offers a boat load of practicality in a relatively small package, for a truck that is. The hybrid powertrain would make it a winner in the gas mileage department. I actually like the styling. It's not trying to compete with a standard truck, but instead be a crossover truck.

  • that looks like JUNK

  • lool

  • it looks nice and aggressive

  • That shouldn't even be considered a truck, I'd like to see it pull a huge trailer or a boat. Bottom line imports shouldn't be making trucks. The toughest part about a Toyota is the woman driving it.

  • I would not spend the money on this. If people want to pretend they are truck owners and buy a hybrid looking piece of crap I'm sure there is a market for it. I do like the interior look though. It's a seat. No it's a frame. No, it's a seat-frame. And the steering wheel looks neat but not very functional.

  • It looks like someone took 1/4 of the tundra and placed it on on a Tacoma 2.7 liter

  • How can car companies be so stupid? Make it look cool.. AND have this functionality, is that so hard?

  • I need a pick up in my city Palermo (italy) because the roads are bullshift...anyone know the future price in Europe approxtmately?

  • looks like some POKEMON critter !!! great, more anime styling

  • thatis some city shit.who needs a pick up in the city!

  • Hopefully whoever is incharge at toyota will become more practical and redo this concept...looks all chopped up...If thats what they were aiming for, they nailed it!

  • That actually sounds tight

  • Unibody. Uni-can- kiss my Aflak!! Give us some style. Stop sleaking everything back and give us the classic look. That's the only thing holding me back from investing in this technology. I don't want to be driving a spaceship, I want a CAR. One that is ,..how do I put this, ...Attractive. One that makes me... um..{words words}... feel happy about owning it, one that isn't packed with digital crap I don't want.

  • crap

  • Is it 2x4? 4x4? Not one of the press reviews I've seen even mentons driveline. My vote: A manually switchable 2/4 drive (like my '98 Tacoma had). I don't need f/t, nor do most people. 2WD mode is more efficient.

  • A compact diesel 4WD is needed. Keep the classic lines.

  • Get rid of that transformer looking front end

  • Seriously, Drop in a twin turbo...Lower it...Redo the front end...Leather interior...Then install Lexus symbols! It'll sell like GAS!!

  • Sorry about the aspect ratio. Won't happen again.

  • Happy New Year!

  • obvously. the wheels arent even round

  • How does this guy think that it looks like a prius or a tundra? It just looks like a tall japanese truck with no space inside it.

  • I think only the front of the car is ugly.

  • It's been hit with A BAT. Ugly as sin.

  • Ha Ha Ha, agreed.

  • taller than wider. might start a new sport of truck-tipping

  • I think it's cool looking! Very futuristic! But hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves...When or if they do decide to go ahead and manufacture this pickup, it more than likely will not look anything like this and their response will be something like: "We made the ---- based off the Toyota A-BAT p/u concept but made it for more of today's real-world conditions!" In other words: "We made it really boring and so that's why it looks nothing like the concept!"

  • looks like a bulldog...

  • Hideous,

  • this looks like it should be in a video game

  • Agreed, its like 80% of all concepts, they come out gaudy and full of useless trinkets and then get shot down when practicallity pulls ahead of new innovation.

  • How come all of these cars. Aptera, Volt, Mazda, ..have to look like crap? Couldn't they have said, you know, we want to give the consumer not only technology, but we think they deserve style? Not future shit, but maybe a 50s look or put some chrome in the mix. Besides, what can we haul with such a short-ass box?

  • I think this truck looks pretty neat, although the direct "front on" view leaves much to be desired in terms of style - the rest is very unique. Maybe its because Im a Gen Y-er, who knows? Now they need to power it with say...a 1.5 - 2.0 litre 4cyl turbo diesel hybrid system and it will be good to go!

  • I agree, the front end is disgusting! The remaining 85% is perfect styling. Turbo 4 cylinder sounds perfect! My V8 needs a friend in the driveway...

  • I agree its ugly as hell but it would fill a niche and would be a practical little truck. I like the idea , not the styling.

  • its interesting. sure its ugly, but so is the prius and half the scion line, yet they manage to sell, sell, sell. i think toyota may be up to something here, certainly past this concept car.

  • it doesn't fly so why should all "Concept" cars & trucks look like spaceships? ... I'm happy with a *95 Toyota V6 4X4 thank you.

  • its pretty much one of those honda pickups but much smaller and way uglier

  • You guys must be commenting on the wrong video. This is a show stopper! Toyota Tacoma Sport?

  • Ugly little bugger aint it?

  • CHUNKY is an understatement, NASTY!

  • SO. GROSS.
