Sagat has always been about Tiger Shots in SF2, and nothing has changed that. Valle deployed what has made him dominant...his zoning game. It's not "spamming" its positioning. Valle positioned with Sagat to put Ryu into positions in which he is very limited, giving Sagat the edge.
It has been done since the CE days, so nothing new here. If you just see "spamming" then you don't truly understand the zoning game of Sagat and the strategy behind it.

@TrueSephiros you are sop correct about your statement buddy. i mean have you seen Daigo? Even daigo zones out alot with hadou, hes making the best out of what the character can do. Even in SSF4 Daigo uses tons of hados with ryu all the time. It isnt cheating unless you can't do anything about it, but you can counter it by good timed jump ins and projectile avoiding moves.
people who complain about Spamming projectiles just havent learned to properly counter a fireball match. Practice people!

You really think people care about that? It's a matter of their playstyles compared to the tactics that pros display. So as long as, "spamming" constanly occurs in their matches, these scrubs will always assume it's just that. If they had knowledge of a character in the past, however, they wouldn't call it that and if they tried to call it out in tournies, they'd be the laughing stock of the entire set. I've faced Sagats online, and they know how to play keep-away: it's his style

Daigo and Alex are no angels. People who complain of Alex spamming would take note that Daigo would do the same with Ryu when he gets the chance, which he has certainly exploited many times before.

Spamming and zoning are two ways of saying the same thing, in this case. You have to understand that there is little else going on here but a reasoning for spamming. SSFII has always been a very balanced and strategic game but only because you have to choose each move wisely. Spamming is still spamming, you just have different reasoning, here - "zoning", as opposed to a lack of skill.

To you, "skill" is two players jumping into each other and mashing j.rh, c.rh, giving your opponent bro props when you win, and getting all mad when you lose. If you don't understand the level of strategy and intense mind games occuring during what you call "spamming", you don't deserve to be talking about Street Fighter. @kkeelan Curious how you would dub "zoning" spamming or lack of skill? I would like to know that? It's not like you can "mindlessly" throwing them out. A wrongly thrown fireball can mean DIZZY with crazy consequences.
No Fireball is ever thrown without proper thought of positioning, and what it limits and forces an opponent to do and what not to do. Their are no "lack of skill" fireballs thrown at high level. Bring yourself to Evo and "spam" and see how well you do.

@Kyuubi424 yea it does, there is just shit that you can get away with in sf2, in a way it really is a chest game, people know to projectile hadokens/tigers because if blocked it takes away damage, and its hard avoiding them with out making a mistake. but if you look at some sf3 vids, you cant get away with projectile moves. so they all had to switch their game up.

If you can't comprehend what's happening in the video, maybe you should pay more attention and learn the fundamentals of streety. What you see as a "bunch of tigers and hadoukens", others see an intense game of human chess. You're probably the type of player who thinks being pro means completing single player mode without using a continue and the measurement of a player's worth is the amount of hits they can land in a combo.
