  • Steamboat Willie you son of a bitch!

  • One of few movies I can watch over and over again.

  • why do we need to save ryan?

  • Guys this movie isn't just about accurately portraying ww2.........if u want to see something like that see the movie The Big Red One.......this movie has a theme that is different for every person.....I think it's good

  • Wow metro, there was no ss panzers because of a false code sent by a british spy saying that the allies were going to land somewhere else. So actually, without hiring 50000 extras i think he has portrayed it very well

  • *on the blimps it says: KRAUTS STAY THE FUCK AWAY, THIS IS OUR PLACE! DEAL WITH IT!

  • One of Best War movie ever made IMO.

  • 2:39 - 2:55 Doyle Brunson voice? :)) is kinda identical ... of course I know is not him but is so near resemblance

  • One of the best war movies of all times, Tom Hanks is great in this movie. I can't belive anyone can say that the movie is some pice of crap...

  • the best movie ever

  • this movie sucked very inaccurate

  • @metro2033fan and how exactly?

  • @tu7n37 well first off there were no SS panzers Omaha beach was not portrayed correctly...Spielberg and hanks suck

  • @metro2033fan There were no SS panzers? The SS was a division of the nazi Reich and panzers were just tanks. The D-Day invasion on Omaha Beach is the most accurate representation in any film.

  • @tu7n37 it was not in the least. also there were no ss panzer units...this movie was terrible you want to watch a good movie about ww2? watch " idi i smotri"

  • They forgot Matt Damon!

  • One of the best movies i ever saw

  • if Corporal Upham's a droid in Star Wars, he'd be... See-Threepio (C3PO)!

  • I love the moovie so cool !

  • shaving ryans privates

  • 13 years later Upham still pisses me off every time I see this movie.

  • @mostcorrupt never really undersood what that means

  • Shaving Ryan's Privates

  • you forgot matt damon

  • @Hperman09 Der Autor war ein Jude wie immer !

Die machen sich über Deutschland lustig!

Diese Juden sollte man wie vor 70 Jahren

    Vergasen lassen!!!!

    Heil Hitler!

Das deutsche Volk wird auf erstehen und die jüdische Rasse in Europa und Amerika ausrotten!!!

    Sieg heil

  • BY FAR THE BEST WAR OR SHOOTING MOVIE EVER!!!!!!

  • Dam this movie made me have whole new level of respect to our troops

  • nies

  • Jew propaganda

  • This movie was made in 1998, but I watched it for the first time on TV recently. I'm truly ashamed it's taken me 13 years to see this cinematic masterpiece. The attack on the beach may be the best movie opening I've ever seen (such a shame it's based on reality though).

Oh and for anyone who's looking for more epic WW2 stories you won't go far wrong with the Steven Spielberg / Tom Hanks produced 'Band of Brothers' and 'The Pacific'. Two absolutely stunning 10 part shows from HBO.

  • @CIW1985 heard of band of brothers cant wait to finally see it

  • Nazi ideology is cool without racism and expansionism. Cause that makes it full of shit and ignorance.

  • Why can't steven spielberg make GREAT movies like this anymore?

  • Comment removed

  • @nfire4 it came out like 13 years ago

  • i see some elements from this movie / film in Company of Heroes... sad :-/.

but now i know where the game ideas came from.

  • The ending of this movie always brings a tear to my eye!!

  • 1:24 Snapped his boner

  • @WetMoose100 u fucking little godamn bitch. u dont make fun of a veteran, especially one from wwii, especially a wounded one, ESPECIALLY one who died. i should beat the shit out of you cuz you deserve to be tortured for saying that. i hope your not from any of the allied countries.

  • @drumgd41 WTF!??!? I actually GAPED at your disgusting remark. No one deserves to be 'tortured.' That's the most inhuman thing I've ever heard. For being so atrociously hidious in your morality, you barely qualify as human enough to say what others do and do not deserve.

The 'allied' countries lost people as well. Get your head out of arse. War was barabaric, and viciously cruel humans like you are the reason we lost so many people.

Hope you develop some human morals soon, arsehole.

  • @RockerXGurl im from america and i am an allie. it was pretty much a metaphor. i wouldnt torture him, although sadly there is a lot of terrible people who would. i think you took this a little too seriously. and your saying im a nazi i think. i am not viciously cruel. his remark just made me angry. and please dont tell me your an antigun person cuz guns are what won the war. and to everybody, HUNTING IS GOOD OTHERWISE ANIMALS WILL STARVE. just a random fact.

  • @drumgd41 I think you took @WetMoose100 's comment far too seriously, and your harsh comment deserves more of a critical view than a mere 'joke' does. Please do view over your words more carefully before you release them. Internet anonymity does not permit you to be so boorish with your words.

P.S Guns also STARTED the war. However, it's a debatable topic of which I'm not going to get into. Hunting is not even debatable though--you're KILLING living beings, don't try to justify it...

  • @drumgd41 Oh, I do acknowledge that you're not a Nazi though. I don't see how I'd been implying any such thing before.

  • @drumgd41 no need to get your ballsack in a twist its just a fucking film and godamn bitch wow i'm so offended

  • @drumgd41 wow man ur such a rage full little hater

  • @WetMoose100 I dont get it...

  • the sniper was the shit

  • Saving ryans privates :D

  • i just watch this movie for the very first time, at the end i cry like a baby

this movie is so amazing with all those things inside

i really like it and i m highly recommend to watch this movie for those who didnt watch it before

  • It`s one of the best movies I`ve ever seen.

    And I`ve seen a lot!

  • What i liked most in this film is that it ain't another war film about a bunch of super GI's en route to save the world but just a squad of men sent behind ennemy lines trying to ease a mother's pain by saving her last son

    Hail to Steven Spielberg!!

  • @KimInLosAngeles Americans were as evil like Nazis and japanise Search hiroshima on google pictures :P

  • @mrbrekke123 yes they were

  • what about Matt Damon!

  • saving private ryan, is a story about a grope of people traying to save ryan and

    fuck him in the "S"

  • lol, so a friend of mine told me who is vin i was like u have to be kidding , he work at saving private ryan .. several movies .. i was like damn this dude .. lol.

  • epic movie

  • one of the best movies ive ever seen, and defenently the best war movie ive seen :)

  • It's too bad the disgusting useless fucking generation of today knows nothing of their own history.

  • Respect.

  • Great when does it come out?

  • @nfire4 it came out 13 years ago.

  • @nfire4 LOL dude this movie was made in 1998

  • It's Veteran days. I thank for all our brave U.S. armed forces who died giving their life for our freedom and our country. War is evil but sometimes necessary. What if the Japanese and the Nazis attacked you, what would you do? Sit back or go to war? I answer that war is a solution to the problem. Without war, we would be living under Nazi rule. Without war, we won't type on YT. Without war, we would be living under a USSR communist system.

That is the answer you anti-wars need to know.

  • @Hperman09 Not every German was a Nazi. So how can you class the whole country as “Nazi rule”. It is Germany you ignorant piece of shit.

  • @TheEnglishFuhrer What i mean is under the Nazi ideology like any other country. The Allies won by destroying that dictatorship. Germany was under Nazi rule at that time until the Allied forces destroyed it in 1945.

  • @Hperman09 I am exhausted of people resembling you, spoon feeding me on my own countries/ continents history. Deutschland was there before you came, Deutschland was there when you stayed and Deutschland had to pick up the pieces when you left.

  • @TheEnglishFuhrer Yeah and you will again if you try that Nazi shit another time

  • @nfire4 Firstly dickhead, your comment makes no logic when you contrast it with my last comment. And secondly when you pronounce "Nazi shit", do you mean National Socialism or do you mean such things as rebuilding the Reich and our anti - Semitism ideology?

I doubt you will be able to take much from this comment as your knowledge of the subject probably doesn’t reach further than the American propaganda dribble you have been feed all your life.

  • @nfire4 Finally you probably are part of the 37% of Americans that believe the Jewish population is in a secret organisation controlling the world aka New World Order/Illuminati . So I question you sir who really owns the anti-Semitist ideologies.

  • FABULOUS

  • What I admire about this movie is its total respect for the solider. There's a genuine dignity to how these men are portrayed. It's not just some action film...it's an homage to courage

  • I wouls like to see a movie about WWII but on the germans seeing point

  • @angartex

    Das Boot

    Stalingrad

  • @dekster14LP Totally

  • This movie is an impudence about all German Soldiers fight in WW2. But a damn good moive.

  • Spielberg wanted to show the war through the eyes of "AMERICAN GI"S". Hes not trying to single any other country out. End of story.

  • @zeropluszeroiszero That's a good point. I get worried when Canada is forgotten in these discussions, but I see what you are saying. It's a very particular situation in this movie.

I wonder if it gets people into these discussions because it's so realistic and even intimate while at the same time being crazy intense. It just begs for debates and historical analysis

    Cheers

  • @Trund27 You wanna know how bad the omaha beach landings where?

  • @Trund27 In the fog morning the B17 bombers had overshot there german defenses by 5kilometers and most of the naval bombardment fell short so the nazi defenses(which where dug deep in to the cliffs) where still very strong. Instead of just 800 men of the weak 716 divison the nazis had just moved into there cracked 352nd division. As the americans where landing, the powerful tide had swept many men and vehicles back to the sea and 10 landing craft had sunk.

  • @zeropluszeroiszero

The German Army Wehrmacht was the best ever existed on the earth. !!!!!

  • Japanese were as evil as Nazis.

They abducted 200,000 Asians (also Caucasians), raped them up to 50 times a day & buried them alive to save bullets.

Japanese govt won't apologize to any of surviving sex slaves.

In 2007, Japanese govt org bought 1 pg. of Wall Street Journal & filled it with OUTRAGEOUS LIES: 1) the females were whores who volunteered to service Japanese soldiers. 2) Japanese govt paid them more than Japanese army generals.

GOOGLE: Jan Ruff O'Herne - Japanese military sex slave

  • Best movie ever made. No doubt!

  • Am I the only one that really has a soft spot for the character Tom Hanks plays? There a quite a few messages behind him in this movie and he is quite an interesting person.

  • more cheap spielberg jew crap

HITLER RULES SIEG HEIL JEWS BELONG IN CAMPS

  • @BemusedTIger Although I do respect your religion and beliefs,I do not respect that you go against others. What would you think IF your beliefs put you to death,slavery,relocation,etc...?Think about it.

  • WAR~ old man talk.. young people die.. =_="

  • If you ask me Russia was the reason the allies won the war, they also lost the most lives. I am giving a fair opinion because I am from Ireland who did not fight in the war.

  • @hack3r639 Most of the lives the Russians lost were civilians, but I'm discounting their contribution with that statement

  • At the start Germany invaded Poland and Britain stuck up for them by declaring war. The Russians where actually fighting with the Nazis at first, right up until they got invaded.. Which was not a good move. and America, sat back watched. Until they were taken completely by surprise at Pearl harbour.. 2 years into a global war... So America Finally started fighting, two years late but at least its better than ww1.

  • I can't remember that Matt Damon was in this movie?

  • BEST WAR FILM EVER. THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE.

  • boring trailer good movie

  • i love tom hanks T.T

  • So does anyone else notice that they have the wrong flag? :3

I mean the movie is great but in the 40's there was only 48 states and they are using one with 50. Just thought I should point that out

    Still a great movie though!

  • Saving ryans privates

  • this is what call of duty was based off of??? it makes scenes actually...

  • I have to say the UK would have fallen if the US hadn't come into the war but the UK still played a very big role in WW2. So did Russia they got hammerd but pulled it together the end to help take Germany.

  • i couldn't stop noticing there ain't any hot juicy girl in this movie :D way to go hollywood!

  • "Someday we might look back on this and decide that... saving private Ryan... was the one decent thing we were able to pull out of this whole... god awful shitty mess. We do that we all earn the right to go home."

One of my favorite quotes in the movie.

  • They say that a carot first starts out as a brocoli.. Just how a man must first be a mouse. The brocoli is wise and strong and good to eat, just like a watermelon. A watermelon is tough skinned just like a palm tree.

Remember, those who fought in madagascar world war 2. May they rest in peace.

  • how to make the wars to end all wars: as long as US shuts up the traps of other nations, as well as their own, that'll be fine. look at fucking US now. picking a fight with al qaeda, gaddafi killing his own ppl, escaping and shit. now i see the world really is so fucked up

  • FUCKING GOOD

  • @MegaRiki1 DAMN FUCKING RIGHT!

  • My great uncle fought in d-day he was one of the guys who landed on the beach and fought all the up it and lived

  • @MrBudha98 seriously? Wow. Thats amazing!

  • @MrBudha98 Bless him

  • @MrBudha98 your uncle is a lucky guy

  • @MrBudha98 God Bless your Great Uncle.

  • fucking love this movie

  • Crap movie !

  • @paulalex511 Why's that?

  • And this movie isn't saying that the Americans did most it was saying how war forms a brothership like none other

  • @skyrat so your saying it was only britain? you have to understand you werent the only ones in a room, Canada was, polance france belgium most of europe,

  • good film, kindov annoying though the way hollywood seems to think America won the war all by itself... Britain and Russia did the most against Germany.. well at the start before America even joined in it was practically just Britain.. i just wish that one day a film will actually show that

  • @skyrat1991

It's kind of annoying how every film made is just some stupid ally breaking his way out of 50 germans with a handgun and 2 clips. Fucking retarded. SPR is the most bias mainstream war movie of the past 2 decades. Fucking awful.

  • @skyrat1991

I still remember America's race for the v-2 rocket blueprint against Russia, both shot each opposing faction upon entering the facility of the Kraut.. c'mon, war just because of some rocket technology?..

  • @skyrat1991 I would say Russia did the most against Germany. Britain had been chased from Europe, remember. In any case, this was a movie about American soldiers. Watch A Bridge Too Far if you want to see an American film give honor to the Brits.

  • @skyrat1991

Britain? Really? That's some biased shit.

  • @skyrat1991 What!?!...history major here...your clueless

  • @skyrat1991 I think it'd be cool if the guys who did Band of Brothers, The Pacific and all of that did the same thing but from a Russian perspective.

  • @skyrat1991 some of us will still be ignorant no matter what, im from america, and i honestly thing if t wasn't for the allies, we would have gotten our shit pushed in.

  • Germany basically took on too much at once, which in the end was their downfall. If they paced themselves and fought one country at a time, the world we live in would be a very different place. Britain wouldn't of lasted on its own against the nazis, neither would Russia or America.. Together though our combined militaries outmatched them

  • @skyrat1991 their technology was also far superior for the time

  • @skyrat1991 how does this movie show america winning by itself?

  • @skyrat1991 Yeah but this is films origin in the Omaha Beach landings. and only america was at Omaha beach. England Canada and the other places went to other beaches but in the same area

  • @skyrat1991America did the most in the Pacific

  • @skyrat1991 yea but britain and russia were losing until america had to join and change the war

  • @skyrat1991 why do you think that they constantly release films and games of america beating the axis?

  • @skyrat1991 I think maybe because if America didn't join the war when they did, Britain would have lost.

  • @skyrat1991 True, but without America they would lost probably.

  • @skyrat1991 thats what I was thinking. Why isnt there a film out there telling the truth and showing the sacrifices britain had to make. This is a good film though but Britain never gets any attention film wise.

  • @skyrat1991

britains were just defending, these pussys werent even attacking till the amerians came over!

by the way germany wanted peace with britain, but britain declared war to germany!

to stop the germans it needed the whole world. basically the germans lost the war cause of russia, cause there are just to many of those communist bastards, the SS had 12 kills to 1 death vs the russians but still the germans lost cause there are so many russians...!

  • @DownWhereWeBelong

I think sending thousands of bombers over each night and sinking their warships and Uboats could be classed as attacking...

  • @skyrat1991

actually the german uboats raped the british sea forces, without supply from the USA you would have lost the war soon. thats a fact.

and the bombing was not really impressive...you are fucking lucky that there is water between england and germany, we all know what would have happened without the water ;)

  • @DownWhereWeBelong

yep without water.. such as the atlantic ocean, Germany would've carpet bombed america.... Presides mate if you wanna talk big about the yanks... one word... Vietnam...

  • @skyrat1991 I think the movie is just showing the American side of D-day, and I think the reason people think of americans when they think of D-day is because they ran into more resistence and we couldn't get our tanks on the beach. Just like when I think of Africa I think of Britian, but when I think of the war I think af all that were involved(America,Britian,France,Canada,Germany,russia,Italy,ex..). But I see what you saying.

  • @skyrat1991 true, especially the Russians who lost millions of soldiers fighting Germany...but the film was made by an American director and starred mostly Americans...so therefore its about America's role in the war

  • @skyrat1991 Just so long as you're blaming Hollywood, not this incredible movie. The director's objective was to show the realities of war and destroy that kind of ignorant thinking with realistic portrayals and beleivable characters. It doesn't patronize America at all...it happens to focus on US troops but we can't credit everybody in every war movie u know.btw I think its interesting that ModernWarfare games focuses mostly on the British, u'd think a huge American game would be more biased

  • @skyrat1991 You do know that, America stated that it was neutral against the war, however it also said that if people want to buy weapons from american factories they cannot stop but sell them. In other worlds, they only let Britain get the weapons made by US but in paper, they were acting as neutral.

  • @skyrat1991 Ok for the last time if you would have read about the movie you should know its says "seen through the eyes of american gi's". Omaha beach was an american landing zone, the story about the 8 soldiers risking theres live to find one soldier was based of the niland brothers( who where american), 4 went to war and 3 were killed. damn chill out.

  • @skyrat1991 Finally!!!!! A guy that includes Russia and Britian!!! Just like when ppl think of 9/11 as just the WTC, it also includes the pentagon and United 93 in Shanksville. But I have to say, without the help of the US, Europe might fall in the powers of Nazi Germany, Britian was bombed to death, Russia was being massacred, and we came in to help, well, then Britian recaptures the Rhineland and then Russia Moved into the capitol for the kill.

  • @type99rifle Not to nag...but please include Canada in that list! Dieppe was practice for D-Day

  • @Trund27 Hmm, how could i forgot about that, and the french militia

  • @type99rifle Thank you...You're cool

  • @Trund27 you too m8
