Lol. Even worse you were flying a flight sim? II fly flight sims as well as real aircraft, but nothing is worse than being in the cockpit of an actual aircraft with an emergency, no matter how minor.
Even worse I was flying a Flight SIM of a Boeing 747 and had the hydraulics fail before landing San Francisco. I had to go around the Bay 14 times to drop fuel before landing. It was scary even on a simulator and it takes someone with a keen heart and calm demeanor to land the plane.
No idea where the rumour of "No Hydraulics" came from. If there were no hydraulics, the spoilers wouldn't have popped up on landing. What probably happened is ONE of the hydraulic systems failed - there are three on a Boeing 757 (Which is the aircraft you flew on by looking at the flaps).
@chase5029 flaps are mechanically driven not hydraulic.
multiple systems covers airplanes so he probably lost one system out of three probably... and that one system must of been the one that works the steering among other things.
@familyguy958 ..... a lot of aircraft don't have the capabilities to dump fuel... we must burn it off and the only way to do that is to keep flying (we only do that if the situation allows for it and would be safer for you otherwise we will opt to land overweight)
@familyguy958 A320's don't have the capability to even dump fuel... Lots of planes don't have that feature... Big planes have it because they carry large amounts of fuel and in a emergency situation they don't have hours to circle around to burn off fuel..

if there was a hydraulics where not working the flaps would not go down and he would not have muck control on landing.

WHAT CAUSE THE EMERGECY LANDING? IS THAT SOMETHING GOING ON WRONG

airlines are so reluctant to dump fuel, the jetblue flight that circled LAX for 3 hrs is also ridiculous,

There ar several hydralic systems. one of them might have failed.

if there were no hydraulics, flaps and speed brakes wouldn't extend. They might have been losing hydraulics fluid....
