@persiphila - You've done some home-work. I never got to meet Sensei Funakoshi,
but I did meet Mr. Nishyama. Sat next to him at the 76 world tourney in LA. At the time I trained with Robert Graves out of Eugene Oregon. I train now with R Wilson in Corvallis were we train in practicalities as they realate to karate-do. Still a JKA Memember. - DJ
