Fei Long Advanced Combo Sequel - SSF4

dude i think im a good player with fei long, but i can't make the x4 light punch and after that the super i tought was my controller or that i need an arcade stick to be faster but i already played in arcade here in my locals and i couldn't neither u_u , any tip ? i'll appreciate your help.

i can't even keep punching after the chicken wing, and i've seen several fei long players that can make combos after the chicken wing.

@Snoooootch I'm new at this SSF4, never played a Street fighter game, besides sf2. I'm tryng so hard to make dashes after the firekick in order to be able to connect a chicken wing. I'm not sure if my logitech F310 has a delay or not on the pc. Tho reading the comments i see there's a focus cancelling dash, gonna try that

@MrBonethrower Not really. It just takes practice. It took me a while to get it right. Like 2 weeks. And even till now sometimes I dont input it right and ruin my own momentum during a match.

I consider myself an above average Fei Long user as I use him exclusively. One thing I absolutely HATE is....his combos are RIDICULOUSLY difficult to pull off! Is it cause I'm using a PS3 controller? Even the simple combos are unreliable! (example: Tenshin, HP, Rekkaken) The timing of his combos is insanely strict!

@StyleofNoStyle Dude, for Tenshin follow up, you can plink by going hp, then instantly after, mp, then rekka. that gives you a great window to land the combo. I use a ps3 controller too. I can't use a stick.

@StyleofNoStyle No, actually, there is a plinking video on my page called, "plinking to my understanding." You'll use st. mp as the inferior move to st. hp, THEN you'll do rekkas. :)

@fVc4FACE Well, if by better you mean easier, then yes. Target combos are easier to land, and so are X rays. Every thing is very convenient in mk9, and I'm loving the game, but I prefer the challenge ssf4 brings. :)

how do you cancel out of fire kicks?

@0wn3dforlife you press AND HOLD medium punch and medium kick at the first hit of the fire kick. Then you dash forward. then let go of the medium buttons once you see the dash come out. So you'll see the fire kick's first hit, then he'll go into focus attack, then you'll dash while still holding down the mudium punch and medium kick. as fei long dashes forward let go of the buttons and start to input the chicken wing kick so it comes out at the end of the dash.

@MrVickdude The point of Combo videos, Majority of them anyway, is not to make simple combos to do practical damage. It's about creating new stylish and new found ways to do combos with an out of the box mind set. Practicality is for boring combo videos. Complexity and creativity is what it's all about!

@CharlieL225 Yup, Shoryuken Member Jason Laboy's interview made me very happy! Tenshin is a hard command grab to land. Speeding it up is gonna be gdlk. I just really don't want them to mess with Fei's CW. I am working on a video about cross ups you can do with the CW that can link into a c.jab - rekkas/super. Right now I'm working on a video tutorial for offense and defense.

what i love about fei is his easy hit confirmable combos. LKs/jabs into rekkas, a good hit confirmable close st.MP into jab rekka or cr.MPxxSuper are my favorites.

question: i have only been able to get 3 hits off of a chicken wing juggled ultra on dhalsim, i've seen you do it on honda, who else can get hit 3 times?

@jinxcrusader a lot of these can't. Fei's Chicken wing wasn't as fast as it is in ssf4. If you do the EX chicken wing, it'll hit Seth and Abel I believe. but that's pretty much.

@Goodninja13 Thanks bro, that means a lot to me! The double focus attack is very difficult. I tried multiple times to land it, let alone continue the combo. I don't recommend using it though, because anything after 2 focus attacks hits at 60% and diminishes after every following hit. But to do it, Just do the second Focus attack AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after the first one.

@hugokof Thank you. Shoot, most of these took me a long time to land. especially the second to last one. I had to time Rose's fire ball so it would hit me on fei's last super hit. Then the combo on Cody: s.lp, s.lp, s.lp, s.mp, super took a while too. Oh, and not to mention the 3 Focus attack combo on T hawk.
