Which is a refrence to the second scene in A Clockwork Orange , where they beat the shit out of a bum.

the book is a lot better than the film imo. the book in way more in depth and intricate and more enjoyable than the film. i don't usually say that, but in this case...it's very true. this particular scene in the book is different. in the book it's set in rob's apartment instead of the record store, and the conversation is over the phone instead of face-to-face. but i'm glad they changed it 'cos it's way funnier this way! but if you like the film then you will love the book =]
