I would really like the gun put on JH's bat like they did back in the day with Aaron. Surprise, surprise, Aaron's bat went through the strike zone the fastest of them all.
dammit heyward is sucking lately because he is being too aggressive. i know thats what bobby told him, but now hes being too aggressive. he strikes out all the time now, because he swings at bad pitches. he needs to be more patient, but still aggressive, like bobby told him
@guitar29682 I agree, but maybe Bobby is anticipating pitchers adjusting to JH's eye. In other words, it might be a psyche thing, if you know what I mean. Better to listen to Bobby anyways, there's always a good reason for it.
I've been a Braves fan my entire life and JH seems like the real deal (of course, I thought the same thing about Jeff F.). JH reminds me a lot of Fred McGriff in his personality/approach and McGriff is one of my favorite players of all time. I hope Chipper and McCann can get things turned around b/c I'd love to see what kind of damage the three (JH, CJ, BM) of them could do together.
@jksonny Ya the braves are 1 1/2 game back as off right now but hewyard has homered and double today in the game against the pirates so maybe we can get up 2 just 1/2 game back
@SuperBraves22 Unfortunately, RH pitched a perfect game for the Phillies so we won't gain any ground tonight. But we're still hitting the cover off the ball and the pitching is strong. Ijust wonder how long Cox can keep Escobar and McClouth in the lineup. They can't buy a hit. I'd put Infante in at SS, move Cabrera to center and let Hinske play left.
@jksonny Yesterday escobar went 3-4 yesterday and i believe infante went 0-4 so hopefully escobar is turning it around but i would try 2 get melky some more ab's he appears to be heating up and McClouth still isn't doing anything offensively, but atleast he is doing his part defensively maybe thats why bobby is keeping him in there
@SuperBraves22 I think Cox may be sticking with McClouth b/c he's just waiting until Schafer is ready to return. JS had a rough 2010 but he seems to have all the tools. In any event, he can't be any worse than McClouth.
