@rockabdechafi4ever It's free to sign in on xbox live silver membership but if you want to play with other people online you'll have to buy a xbox live gold card which they cost between $8 and $50 depending how many months you want it for 1-12.

For 1, if u know anything about cars u wouldnt be playing forza...It would be Gran Turismo..I play forza over and over but its just missing so much..the physics are ok but not a big jump from forza 2..And dont give me that lame excuse why the graphics arnt up to par...Look at gt5 and its physics have been changed dramastically...not to start a flame war, but that obviously shows that forza is always released too early just like the xbox too early..they are half ass products

@mtprince09 physics for normal game on pro handling is also very good at default so i have no idea what you guys are talking about. Mod is apart of the game in the pc community, douchebag, it is what makes the game for the pc. Consoles may have a different factor that make it a console game. @stanley2011 i agree pc gaming is good for driving games but i question what you say when you mention the the words serious sim and suggest nfs shift as an example that game is fucking pony,i liked gt legends live for speed but forza 3 has everything i could ever need in a racing game,loads of tracks/cars/tuning/online etc.forza 3 is the real deal for driving sims.
If you really know about sims i think you should take a look at your list. Shift is not a fucking sim. the rest are awesome sims, but i prefer IRacing.
lol u remind of someone in the forums. The Madness engine is the same engine used for GTR2 but updated. GTR 2 is one of the best sims out there. Yes the engine was tweaked to be a little more arcadish but that wasnt a problem. The modding community changed the data so it would fit real life data and handle much like GTR2 and in some cases people like shift better(physics wise). The game was never made to be an arcade racer, pro physics is really good sim. won best sim in autosimsport
@stanley2011 yeah we know, there are pc sims that are dam realistic and they actualy more realistic than gt5p or forza3, BUT, if it was becauso of gran turismo, that racing sims are so fammous, and many sims exist, because of gran turismo, btw gt5 (full version) has a physics engine that is WAYmore realistic than gt5 prologue and forza 2 or 3

@stanley2011 actually I think it will. The ps3 certainly has the processing power to calculate the physics. It might suprise you. I don't know if you played gt5 prologue but that game is very realistic, I started playing half a month ago and I already bought myself a g25 because I enjoy it so much. The realism is a step up from games such as nfs:shift and I think it's physics model is slightly better then forza's but I'm not sure and certainly not a fanboy. Btw gt5 will have a damage model too.
lol GT5 physics system hasnt advanced much from before bro. What you get from pc is top notch latest physics update. Not the same for consoles. I What really bothers me is only a bit more then 200 premium cars, will this mean physics will be more tacked on for standard? i believe so. All i was comparing was there pc counter parts. hopefully i didnt sound like a total pc elitist. Of coarse this game will be one of the best if not the best for consoles
@stanley2011 Well I played Gt3 a-spec and Gt4 and I must say, it has come a long way from that. I think the only difference with the premium cars will be the looks (more polygons, more detailed (interior etc) and a damage model. This info is all on their website. The other cars are just all the cars that were in previous gran turismos, but more added polys and details. I'm not really worried about that because I'll probably race premium cars only (those will be the coolest)
@stanley2011 Physics will not differ much, because all used paramters can be programmed just as easily for standard as for premium cars. At first I played gt5 prologue with a controller and on standard settings, but I must say when you get a racing wheel with force feedback and professional realism it makes a massive difference. Let's not forget gt5 will have an enhanced physics model; simworthy to me. Btw I'm no fanboy hater, I'm a pc gamer myself: imho pc>console, gt5 just happens to differ ;)
@FlyingdutchmanNL how do u say that? All physics data takes lots of time to get right + there are more than 800 cars that you will have to do it for. The physics definitely havent evolve much from the orginal games such as GT4 and such since there still is bouncing of walls. They wont change how whole game works just because it is a newer game. Premium cars have more moving parts and damage modeling which have just been leaking out.(implying more parameters has to be used)i highly doubt it has..
@stanley2011 A lot of the data is already there (gt4) I'm quite sure physics have evolved from gt3 and gt4, I know because I played it myself and I played gt5: prologue. In Prologue there is indeed bouncing off walls but I think this will change in gt5, since it will probably have a very detailed damage model. All the standard cars will damage too, no parts will fly off, only scratches and ditches as cosmetic damage even flipping. There is physical damage for every car though.

Plus looking at new screens premium cars will have much superior damage modeling and interior damage. btw, you do no that some of the standard car models are upped GT4 models. Standard doesnt even have interior but your right, whatever, either way its going to be a great game and sim. I wished they make a game for pc, lol.

The physics in shift might be a bit arcadish but the handling is stays true to the real thing. as a Sim for the console shift is a great sim for the pc. Shift for the pc is unbeatable as a sim with all its mod. I think the only one capable of competing is rfactor and GTR2.

For 1, if u know anything about cars u wouldnt be playing forza...It would be Gran Turismo..I play forza over and over but its just missing so much..the physics are ok but not a big jump from forza 2..And dont give me that lame excuse why the graphics arnt up to par...Look at gt5 and its physics have been changed dramastically...not to start a flame war, but that obviously shows that forza is always released too early just like the xbox too early..they are half ass products

Gran turismo...haha. I agreed with you on about everything but if you guys really want a serious sim, buy a good pc and start playing the sims on pc, like Shift, rfactor and GTR2(all with mods). No console version can stay true to the real thing like there pc counterparts.

@000haris000 for the pc...If you were atleast semi intelligent and look at the boards at least once and a while you would know that shift mods have surpassed Forza and other console games and is as good as GTR2(arguable). check out nogripracing shift forums. We can already import new cars in it, and sharp mod makes tyre physics very realistic. All we need now is a bigger community and support from EA(which will never happen). douchebag.

Mod is apart of the game in the pc community, douchebag, it is what makes the game for the pc. Consoles may have a different factor that make it a console game. @stanley2011 i agree pc gaming is good for driving games but i question what you say when you mention the the words serious sim and suggest nfs shift as an example that game is fucking pony,i liked gt legends live for speed but forza 3 has everything i could ever need in a racing game,loads of tracks/cars/tuning/online etc.forza 3 is the real deal for driving sims.

lol u remind of someone in the forums. The Madness engine is the same engine used for GTR2 but updated. GTR 2 is one of the best sims out there. Yes the engine was tweaked to be a little more arcadish but that wasnt a problem. The modding community changed the data so it would fit real life data and handle much like GTR2 and in some cases people like shift better(physics wise). The game was never made to be an arcade racer, pro physics is really good sim. won best sim in autosimsport

@stanley2011 yeah we know, there are pc sims that are dam realistic and they actualy more realistic than gt5p or forza3, BUT, if it was becauso of gran turismo, that racing sims are so fammous, and many sims exist, because of gran turismo, btw gt5 (full version) has a physics engine that is WAYmore realistic than gt5 prologue and forza 2 or 3

Its one of my fav racers but i just like having the ability to mod. GT is actually my fav racing series but i hate what there doing to the franchise right now. I no it finally has a release date but noing them its prolly going to change. I dont like the whole premium car, no interior for some..

Neither have i, i have never felt how they drive or how they turn in high speeds but many ppl who love sims havent either. and btw, you dont need to no how to drive those cars to build a sim game. That is what i was implying. Sims is mostly about parameters and numbers. These items being used in consoles are obsolete. they are old, outdated. They are always updated for pc games. Shift in the other hand was not the best out of the box, which is why there are mods that change the number which makes game act more realistically. Nothing to it. @stanley2011 gt5 will be a very very very very realistic game. I'm not 100% sure but I think it will be closest to the real thing we will get this year.Besides shift is not as realistic as rfactor. rfactor and lfs are most played by simmers.

@stanley2011 actually I think it will. The ps3 certainly has the processing power to calculate the physics. It might suprise you. I don't know if you played gt5 prologue but that game is very realistic, I started playing half a month ago and I already bought myself a g25 because I enjoy it so much. The realism is a step up from games such as nfs:shift and I think it's physics model is slightly better then forza's but I'm not sure and certainly not a fanboy. Btw gt5 will have a damage model too.

lol GT5 physics system hasnt advanced much from before bro. What you get from pc is top notch latest physics update. Not the same for consoles. I What really bothers me is only a bit more then 200 premium cars, will this mean physics will be more tacked on for standard? i believe so. All i was comparing was there pc counter parts. hopefully i didnt sound like a total pc elitist. Of coarse this game will be one of the best if not the best for consoles

@stanley2011 Well I played Gt3 a-spec and Gt4 and I must say, it has come a long way from that. I think the only difference with the premium cars will be the looks (more polygons, more detailed (interior etc) and a damage model. This info is all on their website. The other cars are just all the cars that were in previous gran turismos, but more added polys and details. I'm not really worried about that because I'll probably race premium cars only (those will be the coolest)

@stanley2011 Physics will not differ much, because all used paramters can be programmed just as easily for standard as for premium cars. At first I played gt5 prologue with a controller and on standard settings, but I must say when you get a racing wheel with force feedback and professional realism it makes a massive difference. Let's not forget gt5 will have an enhanced physics model; simworthy to me. Btw I'm no fanboy hater, I'm a pc gamer myself: imho pc>console, gt5 just happens to differ ;)

@FlyingdutchmanNL how do u say that? All physics data takes lots of time to get right + there are more than 800 cars that you will have to do it for. The physics definitely havent evolve much from the orginal games such as GT4 and such since there still is bouncing of walls. They wont change how whole game works just because it is a newer game. Premium cars have more moving parts and damage modeling which have just been leaking out.(implying more parameters has to be used)i highly doubt it has..

@stanley2011 A lot of the data is already there (gt4) I'm quite sure physics have evolved from gt3 and gt4, I know because I played it myself and I played gt5: prologue. In Prologue there is indeed bouncing off walls but I think this will change in gt5, since it will probably have a very detailed damage model. All the standard cars will damage too, no parts will fly off, only scratches and ditches as cosmetic damage even flipping. There is physical damage for every car though.

Plus looking at new screens premium cars will have much superior damage modeling and interior damage. btw, you do no that some of the standard car models are upped GT4 models. Standard doesnt even have interior but your right, whatever, either way its going to be a great game and sim. I wished they make a game for pc, lol.

im not sayn forza is a bad game.....its pretty good...there shouldve been alot of more detail in forza 3 for its expectation...its over hyped. And shift is good as hell..i mean look at the cockpits forza looks trashy compared to shift..GT dnt mention its in another realm. But i play forza alot and not to bash it but because it is fun..But imo Shift is better, sorry forza didnt change..and the Killer GT5 will be out sometime..who knows

Forza 3 graphics aren't amazing due to the billions of calculations needed to be processed that makes up the awesome physics Forza has that other games can't touch.

IDK, forza still is lacking something...i was a little disapointed when i first played it cause it seemed as if its the same as the second one just more features..dnt get me wrong its a great game, but nfs is right on its ass.....if u wanna feel what its really like to race lots of cars, trade in Forza when GT5 comes out.

you fucking serious. everything Kenuwine24 has stated is true. Shift is a very good sim and very much comparable to GT5 and Forza. The physics in shift might be a bit arcadish but the handling is stays true to the real thing. as a Sim for the console shift is a great sim for the pc. Shift for the pc is unbeatable as a sim with all its mod. I think the only one capable of competing is rfactor and GTR2.

Besides, GTA 4 has a shit frame frate. That's why the smoke looks better. Forza 3 is 60fps all the way. Not even the PC version of GTA4 can do that.

Why not? Graphics are graphics, they both aim to be realistic. And if you think the graphics realism has something to do with frame rates, you're dead wrong. In addition, you obviously think that all computers and their hardware are the same. It IS in fact possible to get 60fps on the PC version of GTA IV.
The smoke looks better in GTA IV because of its' "shit frame rate"? Please. The smoke looks better because it's thicker, and doesn't spawn as a stupid round cloud behind the tires.
