Big Daddy Joe as we the family called him would be proud to know that his name is used in such a wonderful way. Emma likes to thank you all for what every you did for him and her.
I have an audio recording made from the mixing desk of one of his gigs here, February 1987 - brilliant stuff! I used to have an edited down version on a cassette in my car to play loud with the windows down!
I WAS IN THE USA IN JULY 2003 IN NEW HAMPSHIRE STAYING IN LEBANON THERE I BOUGHT 50 CD,s there 2 were FROM JOE DUSKIN I WOULD LOVE TO GET A DVD OF HIM WHEN IT IS AVAILIBE TY I AM FROM AUSTRALIA THANK YOU...cland 45...WILL BE WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY HERE TY SIR.
I really didn't know that they had this many vids of my grandpa on YouTube. And yes, seriously, he was my grandpa. It's good to hears you all say nice things about him. I miss him a lot...
Joe is gone. He was a kind force and could roll the boogie. I liked him alot. I see my old bud Jimmy in a couple of these photos. I still have an old analog master of an 86 Pickle Barrel show that I taped of the board. Joe, Larry, Jimmy, Phil and Big Ed. Man I miss Cincinnati music. I still play but live in the woods of NH 70 miles from Boston and the Boston music scene is lame(ala Berklee,). The Natty had the cross cultural funk.
Was very sad to hear he passed away. Joe was a good friend of mine and always took the time to write and mail me many cassetts on teaching boogie woogie. His VHS video on how to play Boogie Woogie Prayer,Cuttin the Boogie,Boogie Woogie Stomp, etc and Freddie's Slacks Down the road a piece gets played over and over again. May he rest in peace in Boogie Woogie heaven
