  • opengl error, ive tried so hard to fix it but i cant, can you help?

  • @trent4245 Im afraid I would not know how to fix this. The best advice I could give is to google "Space Engine opengl error" That might lead you somewhere.

  • how do you get the eliptical orbit lines? or is this version 95?

  • to Kepler 22-b!

  • I really need help with this it crashes with in 5 seconds of everytime I use it.

  • Holly fuck !

  • I like your video! nice and smooth

  • can someone tell me how the creator of this program made this? is it made by 1 man, was the development first in 2006 or something, thanks if you tell. and my laptop cant run this T.T

  • Do you have to buy this?

  • @bananaman2157 Nope. Totally free.

  • Oh wow this is bloody beautiful! im downloading this!

  • "The most mericful thing in the world I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity and it was not meant that we voyage far."

-Howard Philips Lovecraft, -The Call of Cthulhu-

  • I only today discovered this game. And it's the best fucking thing ever. Runs butter smooth and lets you traverse a distance so absolutely large it boggles the mind. Absolutely beautifully done as well.

  • Amazing video. Perfect music choice, couldn't think of any bette myselfr. One of my favorites!

  • To concerning tonkrogerio, You sir are just being a plain smart ass. I tell my opinion of what I think of Universe Sandbox and Space Engine, I was not being biased. So you can take your smart ass troll and get back to your filthy cave. the next time you try to even speak another word it will be removed. Also you gained a special spot on my blocked list. Thank you and have a nice day.

  • @JSSJR90 oohhhhh snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap, guna get blocked....

  • If only Orbiter looked like this...

  • what's better?

    space engine or space sandbox?

  • @super0spore0fan If you want to explore upon countless stars and planets ect, in our universe that we live in then play Space Engine, if you want to mess with "a" universe that is vary limited on how many objects that can be displayed because of fps problems then play universe sandbox. peace im out.

  • @super0spore0fan This sounds so fan boy dude. You are not explaining to him that these two simulators are compleatly different in what they are trying to achieve.

Space Engine displays space... thats it. it's the best one to go and explore the galaxy as far as what we think it looks like.

Space sandbox has unparaleled physics. which is the reason it can't handle too many objects in view.

Don't pay attention to JSSJR90. His view is compleatly biased.

  • @tonkrogerio Can you even pay attention to what I said in that comment? I explained of what the 2 games presented of what you can do. (sort of) anyways I was not being biased at all.

  • @JSSJR90

no dude. your explanation contained what space engine can do well and what universe sandbox can't do well. this is a biased opinion. I can direct your initial comment right here if you still need clarification on what you said.

  • @tonkrogerio mmk whatever.

  • @JSSJR90

I will take that as you grudgingly accepting that you was wrong. I will cut rope in the knowledge that you are a proud man.

  • This is all... very beautiful.

  • Leave it to the religious folks to reduce scientific endeavor to a battle of philosophical semantics. Deductive or Inductive, modern science still works. 99.99% of the time you start your car, it doesn't explore or turn into a piece of smoked salmon, it STARTS. Because of this, science has developed automobiles and the automobile in turn has advanced the course of other scientific and societal ventures.

And yet creationists try to say that automobiles start on philosophical uncertainty :P~

  • I think you zoomed in too fast at the end.

  • @doltBmB well the song was almost over so I had to hurry up as fast as possible.

  • 100m to 500mpc?

  • You know I actually love the annotations they really add to it. I wish you did voice though.

  • @bignuts4555 Ehh my voice is well light. I would need to hire Morgen Freeman to do the narration. But I dont have a sack full of money so...LOL.

  • Trust me they maped out those black areas they just dont want the world to know what they found

  • Prince of Egypt music FTW. xD

  • Wow!...absolutely amazinGGgggggggggg!

  • lol I've noticed too how when you are far enough away from Earth and you fly toward it, the camera is going so fast it flies past Earth.

  • i guess that black space @ 6:10 is unknown because of our shiny milky way?

  • @quazaque ummm...no.

  • @JSSJR90 emm..yes.

    why not?

i mean black places up and down.

this is exactly the place where our galaxy is situated and shining of the stars makes impossible to see further that way

  • @quazaque oh you ment it that away, well anyways we can see farther than our milky way. Look up the Hubble space telescope. It took pictures of other distant galaxy's.

  • It's beautiful.

  • funny thing about all this evolution vs religion is that even Pope John Paul II confirmed evolution. on the main subject tho - space engine es #1

  • 2 Bad I couldn't run this. Well I can run it and play it, but it doesn't load planet/star surfaces. My graphics card can't handle it :(

  • I thought this was just the local cluster? The known universe is much larger than that.

  • @nollix Virgo Supercluster*

  • Evolution is real.

    Prove me wrong

  • @dator36 Dat infallible logic.

There are teapots buried on Mars. PROVE ME WRONG!

  • @DvineGaming That's the joke, mate!

There are living seagulls on the internet. prove me wrong

  • @dator36 I know it is, I am adding to it.

Evolution, YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN THAT SHIT!

  • @DvineGaming I am finishing it Creationism you can't explain it. Evolution can be explained and proven, tested and observed. one example in North America are the turkeys. Wild turkey vs domesticated Turkeys (The ones we eat commercially). The Domesticated Turkeys have white feathers while the wild turkeys have brown feathers that's 200 years of evolution with turkeys in North America.

  • @kentokae Dude, I was joking. And I am an Atheist who most certainly believes in evolution.

  • @DvineGaming A true atheist would consider evolution but believe in it

  • @gilbert4321 I DO. THAT IS THE POINT. EVOLUTION HAS BEEN PROVEN SO I KNOW IT IS A FACT.

  • @DvineGaming No half-ling evolved fossle has been found yet. Science shows point a and point b evolutions but no ab hybrid half way finished fossels.

  • Comment removed

  • @DvineGaming Yea but those examples aren't half lings those are educated guesses on possible half phases

  • @DvineGaming Now how exactly do you "prove" a theory? Just curious. Wondering how science determines "facts" when the scientific method is naturally an inductive, not deductive method of reasoning.

  • @TheEgonTowst Are you seriously asking this?

  • @DvineGaming Yes. The scientific method functions on the principle of induction. That is why science deals with theories in the first place. You start with particulars and from those particular observances, theorize a generalization about nature. Not the other way around. Yet, this is a method of reasoning toward probability, not proof. Proof is deductive; i.e. starting with the generalization and deducing particulars entailed within it. So, how do you "prove" something inductively?

  • @TheEgonTowst You can never prove anything 100%, there is always some super slim chance it is wrong. But we can deduce that it is extremely likely. Why are you asking such rhetorical questions if you already apparently have all the answers. Someone might think you`re trying to start and argument.

  • @DvineGaming You're simply incorrect. You can never SCIENTIFICALLY prove anything 100%, because induction does not lead to proof. But science is not the only means of acquiring knowledge. There's this thing called deductive logic, too. You yourself said: "You can never prove anything 100%." Really? The reason I replied to you in the first place is because you said: "EVOLUTION HAS BEEN PROVEN SO I KNOW IT IS A FACT." Hmmm. So you now retract your statement?

  • @DvineGaming @DivineGaming "But we can deduce that it is extremely likely. " This statement doesn't make sense. You don't DEDUCE to likelihood. Likelihood and probability are the outcome of INDUCTION, not deduction. Again, this is why science deals with theories in the first place. You do not properly understand the scientific method if you suggest that we scientifically "deduce" our conclusions, or if you suggest that any theory can be "proven," as opposed to only being likely.

  • @DivineGaming Here's a deductive argument:

    1) All men are mortal

    2) Socrates is a man

    3) Therefore, Socrates is mortal

If both premises are true, the conclusion follows OF NECESSITY. It is not a matter of "extreme likelihood." It is a matter of ENTAILED fact. The scientific method does not operate in this way. Hence, science THEORIZES about the universe; it does not PROVE anything. So you are being quite UNscientific when you assert that evolution has been "proven" as "fact."

  • @DvineGaming On the other hand, here is an inductive argument:

    1) All crows that all people have ever seen have been black.

Conclusion: Therefore, it is most likely the case that all crows in existence are black.

This is how the scientific method operates. It observes particular instances and then INFERS a GENERALIZED claim about those instances. However, as you yourself admitted, there is always room for error. We might find a white crow, for instance.

  • @DvineGaming Hence, inductive reasoning does not prove facts. It just postulates theories. And the scientific method is based entirely on induction, not deduction. So #1 you're incorrect in asserting that evolution has been proven; not only has it not been, but it is impossible to do so. And #2 you are incorrect in suggesting that we can "deduce" to extreme likelihood.

  • @kentokae But you made a good argument.

  • JSSJR90 beautiful video! Fuck all the bullshit creation vs evolution stuff on this channel. When you look up into the sky you can not lie to yourself about what you see...

  • This is the best quality audio of this beautiful song I can find, so thank you for that :)

  • Just to point out, Space Engine can only go as far as the Virgo Supercluster - less than 1% of the observable universe and far less than the whole universe.

  • The sound track works perfectly with the video!...or vice versa

  • I felt small

  • 6959 AU?! X__X

  • Anyone agree space gives you the "I-can't-explain-what-feeling-I'm-experiencing"

    feeling?

  • Ok everyone let your opinions fly about creation and evolution cuz sure as hell I cant stop all of you expressing your opinion's.

  • @JSSJR90 "Disable comments on this video" .... yes, you can.

  • @JSSJR90 "Disable comments on this video" .... yes, you can.

  • @JSSJR90 "Disable comments on this video" .... yes, you can.

  • @JSSJR90 "Disable comments on this video" .... yes, you can.

  • @schuie naa, I like reading peoples opinion's.

  • there is no god. religion is for small minded humans

  • @plasticspastic201 id rather have a small mind then a closed one. no one can prove either THEORY. everyone has to find out for themselves.

  • @tekkenjam learn to spell THAN while you are at it, fool.

  • @plasticspastic201 oh im sorry your peanut brain couldnt comprehend then instead of than. enjoy hell.

  • @tekkenjam i could comprehend it easy enough, it is quite shocking how many douchebags like yourself use THEN instead of THAN. truly imbelic

  • @plasticspastic201 IM the douchebag? And youre worried about spelling on the internet?

  • @plasticspastic201 You're the douchebag for even brining up the God comment. You started this shit. You could've said nothing and let them believe what they want, but instead you decided to be a prick and start this. Good job.

Anyone who can't accept other people's beliefs are close minded, and as tekkenjam said, I'd rather have a small mind than a closed one.

  • When I want to see what space looks like I just crack open my Imperial Guard codex and look at Imperium space because that is all there is EVER.

  • Your welcome for creating the universe. All of that data was created by me and so were you. You guys are so adorable with your attempts to unravel my mystery.

  • This was EXTREMELY well done! Bravo! :D

  • That was epic.

  • Sorry dude you have wrong in your video. Its a good video but let me correct you, its 400 BILLION STARS in our OWN galaxy and its about 500 BILLION galaxys.

  • No Mac version?

  • @9Lapis9 course not. macs are shit like their users. now fuck off

  • @plasticspastic201 It was a simple question from someone who was interested in perusing the application.

I hope you don't use equivalent language when your customers ask you if Big Macs can be served during breakfast hours.

    Zing!

  • @9Lapis9 instead of loitering around youtube asking stupid questions, why not actually excercise those fat pudgey fingers of your by actually clicking onto Google and finding the said application and then trying it out. Or maybe that is too taxing for you? Maybe you would like to ponder upon that as you clean my windsheild. zing.

  • @plasticspastic201 I did go to their home page already, and read the requirements section:

    Minimum Recommended

    CPU 2.0 GHz 3.0 GHz

    RAM 2 Gb 2 Gb

Video GeForce 6800, ATI 3850 GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI 4870

Video RAM 512 Mb 1024 Mb

    OS Windows XP Windows 7

Sorry, that didn't paste over well, but the top item in each category is the minimum and the bottom item is the recommended. Sometimes there are updates or alternate websites for a Mac application. That's why I asked. thanks for your help.

  • @9Lapis9 Annnd, when posted, it looks different than when I pasted...it's the first item that is the minimum and the second item that is recommended.

I'm good with an Intel i7, 8 GB ram, ATI 5750, 1024 vram. Ah well. Everyone who can run it, please post videos, I enjoy them. Thank you.

  • @9Lapis9 good? you should go extreme. you create some videos please :)

  • Total perspective vortex...

  • Can anyone help? how do i change video settings? i have it on 1366x and it crashes, i wanna lower it to 640x, i cant change it on the game because it crashes :(

  • Awesome

  • All my planets look bright white in this game? Including earth, any one know why this is?

  • I want this so bad but my computer isn't good enough to run it.

  • @LiberalJerseyman its honestly nothing special. yet.

  • @Kvokki Looks pretty cool to me. I like how you can go anywhere you point.

  • engage warp drive

  • It's amazing what God can make in just 6 days.

  • @kingkid7777 yes, especially because he doesnt exist. that would make it even harder for him.

now dont come flaming at me, im not going to argue.

  • @fireluigi12 you're right, it would be harder to create something with nothing, but then again, I am assuming, isn't that what you believe .

  • SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!!!!

  • let's forget the bible,it's useless...but...how can an average inteligence man think all these beautiful things are with no sense..sad is the man who has lost the sense of the beauty midst of cold number, cold equations..this is the true, and isn't written in a book, does not need

  • The soundtrack from one of my childhood movies mixed with what I want to see more than anything in my life... Fuck I am crying now.

  • This is probably one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

  • Whoever says we're alone in the universe should overthink his point of view. :)

  • When I start up the game I get a black screen, the only thing I have sen so far is a couple of meters at the edges of the screen that move from time to time. Does anyone else have this problem as well?

  • Amazing video and really shows what the Space Engine is capable of!

  • Absolutely beautiful. I'm definitely getting this program!

  • Comment removed

  • Dude... this may be the best video I have ever seen on youtube, not kidding. Great job!

  • It was so beautiful I cried. I want to explore the universe.

  • @hwnzero if you look carefully they display an Acceleration at 2:44 as c^2 which means m^2/s^2. But the units of acceleration are m/sec^2. That's why it's incorrect. It must be shown as c/sec for example, which means the acceleration by one speed of light per second.

  • over that billions of galaxy, i believe there is 100 or more planet that is similiar to earth, we just have not found it.. because we even haven't explore further than pluto.. and i believe there is a lot of planet that have life creatures there.. maybe in our galaxy, in andomeda, or other billions of galaxy..

  • oh my god.. this software is awesome!!!

  • Can anybody tell me how to view the orbit routs displayed in in green lines like that?

  • can someone help me? I tried to play but I keep getting critical extensions missing.

  • @TheCrownedMedia what do you mean by critical extensions?

  • @JSSJR90 I open the simulator, then an error window pops up saying critical extensions missing

    GL_ARB_vertex_array_object

I updated my drivers, but had to restore because they werent compatible with catalyst control manager.

  • @JSSJR90 Nice work. But the age of Earth is wrong, you show it as 7x10^9 years but it's considered 4.56x10^9 according to radioisotop analysis. Also at 2:44 we can see acceleration as c^2. I have know idea what it means))) It must be c^2/m or c/sec. Thank you.

  • @TheCrownedMedia Try downloading it again, sounds like a corrupted package

  • @87mc12 k.

  • Brilliantly made!!! Absolutely brilliant!

  • @ddidds13 I have a feeling that there is going to be a flame war between evolution and creation. Lets not start this war people.

  • @JSSJR90

    :) ok

  • @JSSJR90

Then send all the christfgags humping their bibles elsewhere

  • @Szgerle Like I said, please dont start a pointless creation vs evolution war here, Its just pointless.

  • @JSSJR90 Why can't we just have both? God created evolution? Now everybody can shut up XD

  • So Earth is a desolate wasteland...you learn something new everyday!

  • amazing

  • I found the units of acceleration being pc/sec^2 hilarious for some reason.

  • David Braben just had a heart attack

  • @omma911 why would he have a heart attack?

  • Comment removed

  • running it right now, it looks fine but it won't get to the surface, every time i try to get to the surface the planet dissapears, it keeps loading the textures etc. but no surface, any idea on what to do?

i searched the forums, they said to switch the settings to LOD -3 so i did but it still won't work.. it's not even my computer, it runs crysis and everything fine..

  • This is just... jaw dropping. Amazing.

    Beautiful.

  • @BrandonPlaysGuitar thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Press the Tilda key to disable the HUD.

  • thank you!! didn't read the infos, sorry

  • Great video man.

    Got me emotional hahaha

  • please any hints about the nice music? good job!!

  • @IlTurko check the description please.

  • Very beautiful video & great selection of music! But unfortunately way too many grammar & spelling mistakes! :-(

  • @menphrad I dont get why people are so ticked about that, git over it I say. English is not my best subject.

  • @menphrad

No doubt get over yourself. If you can understand what the person is saying then just read it and quit acting like your his school teacher.

  • I would like to thank everyone that watches this video and comments. Thank you. Its always nice to read these interesting comments. Space rules! Just too big.

  • Captain Picard is jelly as fuck right now.

  • Hey, I can see my house from here!

  • Mother fucking space, man.

  • I wish I could go 7000 au a second

  • so much space! Gotta see it all!

  • My game always crashes when i close into a planet, every single time :( My computer is up to date so i don't know why...

  • now imagine Kerbal Space Program built using this engine.

    just

    fucking

    take it all

    TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY

    FUCK, TAKE MY LEG

  • And suddenly, all hope to find extraterrestrial life vanishes.

  • @TimmysHQ I had the opposite reaction.

  • @matteumayo Well, seeing how fucking enormous the universe is, the odds of anything coming even to our galaxy is pretty much null.

  • @TimmysHQ Go to wikipedia and look up the Fermi Paradox. Pretty good read.

  • So this is how being Doctor Manhattan must feel like.

  • NIGGA DONT LAND ON A PULSAR

    NIGGA

    NIGGA IM WARNIN YOU

    DONT DO IT

  • I believe that there are AT LEAST A Trillion Planets in OUR GALAXY ALONE, because if there are over 125-Billion Stars, each Star could be a Solar System with a Sun just like ours, and if you put 125-Billion+ Stars together each with 10 or maybe even 15-20 or maybe even more planets a piece, that number could EASILY reach a Trillion, without even having to go outside our own Galaxy. That's insane. Can't even wrap your head around that...

  • this video maked me cry i dont know why
