no dude, sadly no one stays death in the comics, it really makes the point of their deaths pretty useless, if they dont want a characther to stay death then they shouldnt kill him/her.

the only exeptions are the characters who are created just to get killed in one second and those who are really unpopular.

What's the deal with the Planet of the Beasts? Don't get me wrong, this was a good episode, but I'm afraid I don't know much about what this is based on. Could anyone fill me in?

Also, for the opening scene with Miracle, I thought that was another elaborate bad-guy trap, but it was a show for a circus (never thought Bats would be a circus star).

It's based on an old (60's or 70's I think) cmoic book called "Last Boy on Earth". It is basically about what you see here. At some point in the far future, humans are all but extinct and other animals in the world have evolved into sentient life forms.

Probably got launched as a reaction to the success of "Planet of the Apes".

The evolved animals are from the alternate future that Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth, is from. The comic came out around 1970 when Planet of the Apes was very popular. Jack Kirby, who also created Mr Miracle, broadened the talking animals idea for Kamandi.
