Parvo is absolutely devastating to puppies. We see it all the time where I work and we have a room completely separated from the general population that is specifically for parvo cases. Puppies with it have a 50-50 chance of survival but all things that help in terms of that is how many puppy shots they've had (They need to have had at least 3) and how free of other intestinal parasites they are. Those of you with puppies with parvo take heart and don't give up hope.
this is terrible i saw my two puppies dye in my hands because of parvo and now two more puppies are sick jst holding there on to life..im praying for them to survive
@lizlichi Two of my puppies are barely showing symptoms but we heard about this medicine that might help "parvid" it might help your puppies as well keep them well hydrated baby meds will help the fever and pepto will work with the throwing up.
My dog survived this whole ordeal 2 years ago. He's living healthy and fine now. He slept alot during this terrible disease. It was extremely miserable to watch him go through this. I think what saved his life was the immediate electrolyte everytime he vomited. The baby electrolyte that you would find at Walmart. His stool was extremely foul, and he exhibited all the symptoms of parvo. The VET said it would cost $1,500 for a constant IV.
That is one of the worst smells I've ever come across. I felt so bad for the digs coming in with parvo that we weren't able to treat in time. I'm glad your dog made it.

My 12 week old boxer is in the hospital right now, he has an IV, and getting Tami Flu and the parvo vaccination, he has only has diarreah once and throws up at least once a day. I have faith in God that he will make it, tomorrow I'm taking him some Pedialyte and some smashed wet food. I visit him three times a day and stay with him as much as I can. Love will save him, this little boy has my heart. I know he'll pull threw!! His name is Ares, please keep him in your prayers.
Guy's I know how it fills to lose a dog. We had a golden retriver her name was goldie she was sleepy and reastless we just thourt she was tierd and the next day she started to throw up blood and pooing diarea it wasn't nice. By the time we got her to the vet's it was sucsessful and she whent home. But it had came back we wher all asleep accept my mum was awake reading the new's and then goldie came downstairs started to convules this white stuff we took her to the vets and then she died R.I.P.

2. baptismal helps with their tummy pain and kills bacteria
3. lots of Pedialite every 1 hr or 30 min is puppy throws up dont give them anything for abt 2 hrs
the most important would be....... if u see them vomit but still active that might be the first sign u might wanna squeeze lemon into their mouth it works great good luck!!

@RustyNailz48 the dog who had this spent about a week in the vets. It was touch and go for a while but he made it. Ended up costing us about $700 but money well spent
@prophetmalachi Did your poor dog have any black stools before all of this? I've got an elderly dog-- and in searching the web with her symptoms this popped up-- Are the black stools an early symptom? And if anyone knows what she might have, do tell-- I've never seen this before with her.
I was under the impression that Parvo attacks the intestines, thus destroying the lining and allowing for bacterial infections (usually resulting in septic shock) have I been misinformed? Is it actually a hemorrhagic virus? Also is it a fillo virus?

You jerk!!! I am an owner of a dog who died of parvovirus.. Check out the video under Memorial video: Hershey.. She died and I cant believe anybody would post a video of bloody diarrhea on YOUTUBE for christ sake, or even AT ALL!!! I am extremely disappointed for the person who would post this.. JUST AWFUL!!
