  • actually dat guy waz goin 71.5 kmh..

  • I don't understand why people don't believe this video. We do "motor pacing" in training every week in the summer. Behind a motor bike or a car. It's a form of pure speed training that helps you learn to skate faster without the resistance. I've been 76km/hr behind a big car, with smooth asphalt, and a tailwind anyway. It's a normal part of speedskating training (and pro cyclists use it also) w w w . S k 8 s k o o l . d k

  • @Cyberkidsooty dam straite during the sumer i tran on the Guille vilneuve racetrac in montreal

  • Damn

  • good video showing the double push

  • i can do 30 mph on hockey skates :)

  • vielleicht mal ohne zeitlupe?

  • Why the heck would you put it in slow motion when the point is to see how fast it is ><. Geez. Completely defeats the purpose.

  • wenns wirklich 70 kmh sin, RESPEKT// If its really 43,5mph are, RESPECT

  • oops i slipped

  • and??!?!?!?!

  • ah! ah ! gros mito...

  • whuuuuts the song?

  • @DasMotteninsekt

bistu irgendwie geistig krass behindert ?

  • Why is it that all these speed skaters are shown in slow motion?

  • @DasMotteninsekt

;) also viel spaß beim rechnen !

  • what song is this?

  • Right here right now - Fat slim boy ;)

  • @k2r79 Fat Boy Slim

  • @k2r79 Thanks man ^^ Was close still lol

  • I hope i am able to learn to speed skate one day

  • 43 not on your life are u

  • it's slowmotion newbie

  • Why the hell would you edit a SPEED skating video so that it's in SLOW-motion?

    Sounds like you're the newbie!

  • only in slow motion you can observe the skating technics

  • do you want to see it sped up...?

  • Jaja 70km/h don´t make me laugh man you´re going at 50 as much

  • it's slowmotion newbie

  • wow behind a car its no problem

  • Yeah its cool cause when your drafting behind a car, the car can move air faster forwards behind it, which actually pulls you faster to a certain degree. Hence the "station wagon effect" where carbon monoxide is pulled forward.

I never really thought about how wind resistance impacts roller blading! Very interesting stuff!

  • so, this guys drafting, right??

  • He is drafting. I don't understand why you receive "thumbs down" for noting this.

  • OMG He did receaved the thumbs down for it, LOL, YouTube's opinion talibans are getting weider by the minute.

  • @fghrt13 DO YOU SEE SOMEONE IN FRONT OF HIM???? DUMBASS

  • @SomeGreenTea There's a car in front of him, idiot.

  • there is a car in front so u dont need to push air, without car its impossible to drive that fast

  • you are a very clever one :D

  • That's true because i was doing downhill topspeed once with a car infront of me it took all the wind so i got even faster than before.

  • Without a car it's impossible to drive at all :D

  • @jetcarq no.. seriously? The air couldnt' make you go up to 70km/h ?

  • @SunkenPirate can u drive that fast? 40km is max even in full equip, and without wind, at least i cant and i have never seen ppl who can.

  • @SomeGreenTea i don't see arguments, why i'm dumbass?

  • Hey that turned out to be a kick ass Inline Speed Skating team are you part of it? That would be pretty awesome.

  • He was Sideswiping lol

  • Also that skin wrap looks amazing, is it brand or custom? If is brand which one is it? Cheers!

  • it's the zepto team suit

  • LOL and to further even more my awesome display of ignorance what is the Zepto team? I mean are they pro, which country?

  • use google

  • Team zepto is international skate team based in Germany, the skater are from Columbia, Venezuela, New Zealand

they also have a national all german team

  • I guess you meant ColOmbia.

  • So who do I have to kill to go that fast?

  • nobody, you have to train only. a car for the slipstream in the front of you is good to ;) (only slipstream!!!)

  • Hey I have a question. I am relatively new to inline skating, and I am wondering what softness of wheels gives a smooth ride? I'm starting off with smaller wheels, its just the grip that wheels I come across seem to lack. This is a very good video by the way, I hope to become this good as speedskating some day :P

  • try speedskating (on ice) nothing compares to go 50+ outdoors in the dead of winter with wind blowing through your hair =)

  • The problem is we fight weather more often that you do, though there is indoor Inline Speed Skating, we mostly go outdoors while you guys seem to be more indoors. Also your sport is restricted to people who live in areas that snow, I live in Miami FL, no snow for me, If I would live in a place that snows then it would Inline in summer and Ice on winter, but I live in a year long hot weather place so no ice skating for me.

  • WOW!

  • I doubt deepening his underpush would gain more speed when he's already going over 40mph

  • what is the name of the song ????

  • Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now

  • we have 110 mm Wheels on these skates the small rocks do almost nothing

  • AsPhAlTjUnKiEde,

    Nice video. Thanks!

It looks like you might be able to gain even more speed by pushing the under push even further.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Have fun skating!

  • Who is this scater ? Is it Wayne Begg ?

  • Proper skating looks quite beautiful; rythmic and graceful, by contrast, bicycling looks about 400 x dumber than skating, sitting on your arse spinning your little pedals round and round = dumb. Pro quality frames and 100mm or 110mm wheels roll over small, even medium size rocks no problem. Maybe back in the 1980's when we skated on 76mm wheels and cheap frames crashing was an issue. Thats probably what you are still using. The skater in the video is not using "rollerblades".

  • Also, skating properly, which is more or less required to move in any hurry at all, puts your weight back. I've been down in nothing more than shorts/tshirt + helmet at over 25MPH on concrete and come out with a little rash on my ass. Because you fall backward when things go wrong.

Also yes, 110mm wheels in particular roll over just about anything.

  • Bicycling has so many categories, which one are you talking about? Oh I get it. You must've been thinking about road-cycling when you were mouthing off.

It is so apparent that you know close to nothing about either of the sports. Maybe if you get out of your chair once a while and try either one you wouldn't be so hateful about the other.

  • no way 70km/h on flat, simply not possible

  • Easy as hitting a child... Behind a car that is.

  • If you had been practise skating for 3 years or so you can easily achieve 70 km/h behind a car believe me!!I know some skaters(but I'm talking about the best skaters in the world)achieve almost 70 km/h at the end of a 200Time Trial WITHOUT a car

  • I guess you intended to answer to mwtakeru312 instead of me...

  • Yes of course! You may also guess I'm not able to use internet!!!!!

  • no...

  • God i love this sport so much, but i dont have the money for new skates =(

  • yeah i'm skater but i can reach only about ~50

  • How did you measured speed?

  • with a gps in the car. but 70 was not fastest

  • Don't look like 70km/h, maximum looks like 45km/h

  • its not important, what you think it looks like ;) its import which speed it was

  • Obviously, the video has been slowed down. My biggest problem is that it's a video... there's no way to show what speed he's really skating at. If it was posted at full speed, and you know the exact distance between the white lines on the road, then you can calculate the speed, but as is, it's just a claim without merrit.
