I think it's dumb when fanboys say things against the director's cut. This is the cut Richard Kelly wanted to make in the first place, but wasn't able to because of time and money constraints. He planned on including the Philosophy of Time Travel text from the beginning, as well as the deleted scenes.

I think the director's cut works much better plot and character-wise, plus it's 20 minutes longer. You're entitled to like what you want, but some of the arguments I've read are ridiculous.

Directors cut came out in 2004 and is now available on Blu-RAY.

THis version puts in more clues as to what its about and also if you dont get it 100% you can re watch the film with the directors comentry that explaines lots of the goings on and still leavs some blanks as thats what the film is you can decide some of it.
