Would you not install a Double parachute system on this to eject out of the top section of the fuselage , you would have plenty of time to flick a swicth for that channel , it sure would be wise or prudent for all other expensive RC aircraft to have such , as plenty of time and money goes into such a hobby-sport.
yeah just as everyone else is saying it was very reminiscent of the Fairchild AFB incident ......I like to fly my RC planes too but this is why I like my cheap 'lectric foamies.....a 200 dollar loss sounds and feels a bit more comfortable than a 20 000 to 40 000 dollar one....oh and most of the time they don't explode on impact......but I do feel this persons pain as we all have lost in this hobby....
This is eerily reminiscent of the horrible Bud Holland incident at Fairchild. Too much bank, not enough airspeed. Aircraft just sideslips into the ground.
Immagine if that thing crashed into somebody's house.

If you can't afford to crash them, you can't afford to fly them.

Fuel is like a Kerosene mix. Basically same as real jet fuel. Jet-A

@Kabul81 Actually, MANY r/c jets burn when they crash. It's quite common.
