One of the greatest games ever made in all its forms. The sequel bites and I think Emil was actually done better in english than Japanese though its hard listening to Johnny Young Bosch voice such a pussy of character. Tales of the abyss is close behind this one being a great game in both languages. I wish Vesperia was a better game its on the damn xbox360 it should be more amazing than abyss level it really should.
There are few good dubs but the english ToS Dub was one of them. Still the japanese voices are better. They have more emotion.
You can't beat the original. It's the same with movies from Usa or from england. There are some good dubs, too. But the original is always better, because they know how it should sound like.

But since we're on the topic of Tear... Her english voice is quite excellent IMO.She looks and acts older than 16 anyways, so it kinda suits her image. >_>

I've noticed several instances of them sounding rather off-key, myself. Example: JP Tear. Considering Tear's character, she's FAR too uppity and energetic. US Tear sounds a bit older than she should be, but at least she has the right emotion. And Lloyd sounds kind of weird when he says "Hey Sheena!" in the "Zelos touched your butt" skit.
despite being a soldier at least the jp version shows tear with more emotion based on the fact the part when you find out that tear is pretty much dying from the shouki from the passage rings and the scene between luke and tear in the doctors office. and tears voice is too deep for a 16 year old imo. the us voice makes her sound in her mid 20's.
It just sounds weird to you because you are not used to the language! If you were you would notice the outstanding talent of the voice actors! They actually bring the charakters to LIFE and don´t sound lackluster like the english voice actors! Japan has the best voice actors in the world and its proven here again!

I like everyone else's voice in the Japanese dub except Shihna. I don't think anyone can beat Jennifer Hale as her voice. :)
