  • that sheet is a salestand sheet, like plastic packing around products ya remove it and buy a proper sheet as fiskars axes dont come with a sheet (the salestand sheet is not ment for repeatedly taking the axe out as it will wear it down to the point where the axe just falls out.

not to mention that plastic sheet is huge, takes up half your backpack.

  • DUNGEON IRON WORKS, the owner, has just weeks ago, went into the business of manufacturing the largest axes in the world. For years, we have had the reputation of making the largest cleavers in the world, but for now, we are going to focus on axes.

If you would like to purchase the largest axe in the world, with serial number 2, for the first one went to a fireman in Michigan, then check it out on ebay by going to ebay, and typing in their search box: 130569369041, and feast your eyes on it.

  • Damn near chopped a finger off with one of those. Fucking fire ants.

  • Why on earth would you cut up a tree with a hatchet?

  • ey man, I live in Texas summer is like hurricane season for us

    don't complain...

  • I have this hatchet, and also the larger axe. The Axe lives in the 4WD. If I needed to clear a fallen log from the road, this and the drag chain would be my solution. If on the other hand you just need to process small to medium fallen branches for a camp fire, the hatchet is a much better size. I really like the light weight of both of these, but the hatch is the one I'm more likely to carry from the vehicle.

  • I've read in several places that the back end of the head should NOT be used as a hammer. Does anyone have any experience with this type of use? I want to purchase the hatchet, but from the few negative reviews surrounding this particular function of the hatchet, I want to be sure of it's utility. I can't imagine that light hammering would be detrimental to this piece of equipment.

  • Oh God forbid, thunder and rain in summer, oh my!

  • Hmm. To those who are nitpicking the pronunciation...do you all pronounce words from other languages completely correctly? Or do you maybe have a bit of an accent that changes the sounds of words not of your mother tongue???

  • i just use a standard leather sheath for mine. I just bought a new one today and the factory edge shaved my beard without even stropping it... THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME!!

  • Thats a forged axe head not cast buddy, a cast head would make it a real pos

  • It is pronounced Fisk-arrs.. please.

    Best in the world.

  • all you guys pronounce it like "fiskers"

it's finnish so pls say "fis kars"^^

nice tool got it my one yesterday

  • Excellent axe for making kindling for camp fires. I uses mine all the time when camping and hunting. I own the Gerber branded version of the axe, but it is the exact same axe, only the Gerber branded one is a bit more expensive, has an all black handle and comes with a durable nylon/velcro sheath for covering the head and carrying safely. Other than that it's the exact same axe. Very useful!!

  • Great axe, I have this and a bigger axe with the splitting wings, its a combo axe.

  • Nice! I'm sure I'll be using mine to split wood and make bonfires one the rainy season is over.

  • All they say about the steel is that it's drop forged and hardened. But it works fantastic so why should we really care! :D

But yea, we Finns make pretty nice edged tools. :)

  • +1 Fiskars are great!

  • cool hatchet

  • Thank you!!

  • were did u get it

  • I ordered it from the Fiskars website

  • Fiskars is the best:P well mabey not the best but they do realy great stuff.. I have the same axe and I just LOVE it! It's light weight and easy to use=) You should see the Fiskars folding saw, one of the best i think!!

  • This is my first but I really like it! I may have to check out this saw you speak of! ; )

  • yeah I have 3 of them, hehe:P I just love them, light weight and REALY sharp:)

  • Nice, I believe it is a carbon steel alloy in the head, although I dont know which one it is, but it would prolly be advisable to clean and oil it after using it.

  • I always wipe it down with some TuffGlide after each use.

  • where are you from?

  • NorCal

  • When you were talking about the storms I thought to myself "hey thats funny, we had those too". I see why now...where in the same region

  • Didnt know they were made in Finland.

  • he says that in the video
