Stefano and Pia should've been in the top three with Haley, no question. Nothing against Scotty and Lauren, they're great singers, but Stefano and Pia are so much more current and contemporary than they are, and I know it's a preference thing, but geez, Pia and Stefano were robbed.
I can't sing this for the life of me. Stefano's runs are so tough. Singing like Scotty is so easy. Deep voice is easy for me. Even a couple songs that James Durbin sang i can kinda do.

I find that he is one of the underestimated contestants this season. Pity that he got eliminated. If American Idol was still just a singing competition, he would have been in that finale. I'd say he has the best male vocals this season most definitely.
His voice isn't terrible but 2 things kill it for me:
1- his phrasing: I swear, it's like he doesn't understand English, because he emphasizes words and phrases at the oddest times. If he sang the Beatles, it'd sound like: "Yesterday... All MY troubles SEEM so far away..." Phrasing can change the meaning of a song, and Stefano does it a bit.
I don't get why everyone dislikes Stefano. I seriously think this guy has the best voice I just honestly don't see what these haters are seeing. I'm done watching American Idol. Theres no point in me watching it, if my favorites Pia and Stefano aren't in it. Oh well America doesn't know talent. Peace out

Stefano is working WAY harder to win this competition. I feel bad for the guy now. I mean he was probably the top 3 best performers this week not bottom 3. Results can't determine who are the strongest contenders at this point. Seriously. Well with American Idol or not, I'm positive he'll make it in the music industry and in the lines of other soulful/r&b singers like John Legend and even Bruno Mars. i think i heard somewhere that haters are losers! stefano is a BIG THREAT to these people's idols/ favorites! they can't believe that he's so good-looking and can sing better than most of the other contestants! why waste your time bashing on him? you are what you say & do! have heard of karma? i also think that stefano has a more educated and solid fan base and it's growing! i've been a big fan since the wildcard competition & just ignored his haters. stefano is amazing & love him!

Stefano can land on the bottom 3 every week (but let's not make that happen, nooo) but if that's what it takes for him to make it to the finale and top 2 then so be it. Honestly, i hated this rendition. Not enough emotion in the delivery and the outfit was BAD. At best, he should have gone in in a white tux for that song. At the very least, don't look like a douche with untied shoes with the tongues sticking out and preppy outfit. It's out of touch with the song.

Agreed, this is a singing competition! Stefano did amazing =) I'm not exactly sure why you say this performance was terrible. Besides if people wanted Pia and Paul to stay longer they should have voted. You can keep asking what's wrong with America, but really nothing is wrong with them because they voted for who they liked best. It's not Stefano's fault if his fans voted for him (even if they think he's cute), the judges seem to think he did awesome as well =)

yo i've listened to almost every track by Boyz2Men well over 50 times a piece and yet I can easily appreciate the fact that he nailed it. Stefano is Hot. Hes commercial. He can really sing. Stefano has more talent in his little finer than Justin Beiber will ever have....and so cute..I dont undertand why America isn't truly sold on this wonderful kid. He could sing Kris Allen under the table.

I haven't been that big of a fan of his but when I was this I thought wow, I was wrong this guy is good. He just need to find something that works good with his voice and performance ability. That performance alone proves that the right one got voted off last week. Pia has an awesome voice but she's not some one I would buy tickets to see in concert. After last nights performance I would go see Stefano in concert.
good singer..but like all the others here who just loveee the original, i'm not too crazy about this performance..cause of 2 things, his style and his tone. his tone is a bit too bright for this song, combined with his singing style which is a lot of quick phrasing, it sounds kind of weird..you can hear it when he says "it's unnatural" for example. this is one of my all time fave songs and i'm not hatin on the dude,he's got good vocals but more for pop, he has that bright tenor type pop voice
i watched this video so I could see Stefano's dad do a spin. But this was just as terrible as his past performances. Nothing new, just the same boring DoucheStebagno.
This guy has a great voice and to people saying his voice too high or thin, it's not thin. He's a high tenor, so he has a light timbre. Bruno Mars voice is another example of being very light, maybe becauase he's a high tenor and they have light timbres. People need to really stop hating and at least he's able to emote, unlike some other males in the competition. Stefano and Jacob are the best male singers of this season. People should not comment if they know nothing about vocalization.

shocking response to the "why come here if you don't like Stefano" - um... I never saw this, so I wanted to see if I like him (I've not seen idol much at all this year). He seems like a nice kid, but... his voice is tinny, thin, and despite hitting his notes mostly, being able to hit notes doesn't mean it comes across to a majority of people as being entertaining. His performance was, as Randy would say, just alright for me. It wasn't bad. Just not worthy of paying $ for some day.
@JusticeForTheDead First of all his voice is not tiny or thin, it's light. He has a voice type and voice types determine the color of his timbre. He has the ability to produce volume in his voice. I Like Stefano - he has a great voice, but really he destroyed this song. Boyz to Men sang it with so much feeling and soul that tugs at your heart. So emotional! Stefano is working WAY harder to win this competition. I feel bad for the guy now. I mean he was probably the top 3 best performers this week not bottom 3. Results can't determine who are the strongest contenders at this point. Seriously. Well with American Idol or not, I'm positive he'll make it in the music industry and in the lines of other soulful/r&b singers like John Legend and even Bruno Mars. Just need to take it a step at a time. But I'm positive he'll get there! He's that great. :)

i think i heard somewhere that haters are losers! stefano is a BIG THREAT to these people's idols/ favorites! they can't believe that he's so good-looking and can sing better than most of the other contestants! why waste your time bashing on him? you are what you say & do! have heard of karma? i also think that stefano has a more educated and solid fan base and it's growing! i've been a big fan since the wildcard competition & just ignored his haters. stefano is amazing & love him!

@siena327 I agree! Stefano's fan base are wonderful people and very supportive of Stefano and the other contestants too. Stefano can land on the bottom 3 every week (but let's not make that happen, nooo) but if that's what it takes for him to make it to the finale and top 2 then so be it. That will only make him stronger. The haters are just threatened that maybe Stefano might win this thing and their bets wouldn't.

Honestly, i hated this rendition. Not enough emotion in the delivery and the outfit was BAD. At best, he should have gone in in a white tux for that song. At the very least, don't look like a douche with untied shoes with the tongues sticking out and preppy outfit. It's out of touch with the song.

Agreed, this is a singing competition! Stefano did amazing =) I'm not exactly sure why you say this performance was terrible. Besides if people wanted Pia and Paul to stay longer they should have voted. You can keep asking what's wrong with America, but really nothing is wrong with them because they voted for who they liked best. It's not Stefano's fault if his fans voted for him (even if they think he's cute), the judges seem to think he did awesome as well =)

@Tatav yes, you are right. when i said this i was just axagurating and saying i thought he should get out over everyone else who did, and that i didnt think that he was as good as everyone else. he did do AMAZING, just in my opinion, he didnt do as great as everyone else. its just compared to everyone else he didnt sound as great even though he was amazing. to me, everyone else drowned him out and made him sound not as great as he really was.

yo i've listened to almost every track by Boyz2Men well over 50 times a piece and yet I can easily appreciate the fact that he nailed it. It won't sound like them, it can't...it's a different voice...understand that. The emotion packed in the song was almost to the same caliber. Relax and enjoy you over-analytical losers

Stefano is Hot. Hes commercial. He can really sing. Stefano has more talent in his little finer than Justin Beiber will ever have....and so cute..I dont undertand why America isn't truly sold on this wonderful kid. He could sing Kris Allen under the table.

Stefano has been my favorite since his auditions...all I have to say is that HE HAS COME THROUGH EVERY TIME! Even though people are in fact hating on him, he will have a career ahead of him. He is multi-talented and not very many artist today have those skills and the passion that he has. I wish you success all the way, Stefano! Go get 'em brother!

I've not been impressed by Stefano until this performance. It was pretty sad that Pia was voted off and he was safe. But then, Pia is guaranteed a career. She is just freakin' great. Stefano got this chance to prove himself and I think he did a truly excellent job. I can't stop watching this video. It's such a great vocal performance and he's so comfortable in it. Finally in his element. Good going, Stefano. Didn't know you had it in you!

I haven't been that big of a fan of his but when I was this I thought wow, I was wrong this guy is good. He just need to find something that works good with his voice and performance ability. That performance alone proves that the right one got voted off last week. Pia has an awesome voice but she's not some one I would buy tickets to see in concert. After last nights performance I would go see Stefano in concert.

good singer..but like all the others here who just loveee the original, i'm not too crazy about this performance..cause of 2 things, his style and his tone. his tone is a bit too bright for this song, combined with his singing style which is a lot of quick phrasing, it sounds kind of weird..you can hear it when he says "it's unnatural" for example. this is one of my all time fave songs and i'm not hatin on the dude,he's got good vocals but more for pop, he has that bright tenor type pop voice

This guy has a great voice and to people saying his voice too high or thin, it's not thin. He's a high tenor, so he has a light timbre. Bruno Mars voice is another example of being very light, maybe becauase he's a high tenor and they have light timbres. People need to really stop hating and at least he's able to emote, unlike some other males in the competition. Stefano and Jacob are the best male singers of this season. People should not comment if they know nothing about vocalization.

there's a reason why Pia is gone. She may hit her notes, but she wasn't entertaining to enough people. There was "soul" lacking in her voice. Unfortunately, there's a reason why this nice kid was in the bottom two with her. I think one of those final 3 singers will win. He will be going home tonight it appears, unless sympathy votes go his way from his being the one that "took" Pia's spot, which is ridiculous - she was just liked less. It's not a vocals show anyhow, Kris Allen/Lee anyone?

shocking response to the "why come here if you don't like Stefano" - um... I never saw this, so I wanted to see if I like him (I've not seen idol much at all this year). He seems like a nice kid, but... his voice is tinny, thin, and despite hitting his notes mostly, being able to hit notes doesn't mean it comes across to a majority of people as being entertaining. His performance was, as Randy would say, just alright for me. It wasn't bad. Just not worthy of paying $ for some day.

@JusticeForTheDead First of all his voice is not tiny or thin, it's light. He has a voice type and voice types determine the color of his timbre. He has the ability to produce volume in his voice. He has talent and why are people commenting if they don't like his singing. He has good technique and he's great at emoting. He is a great singer, people just like to underrate him.

I Like Stefano - he has a great voice, but really he destroyed this song. Boyz to Men sang it with so much feeling and soul that tugs at your heart. So emotional! He justed couldn't nail it, I don't know if it was the arrangement or the cheesy background singers. But is was just Okay like all the other contestants this year.
