  • I never knew Captain Miller was in the Canadian Forces lol. Respect.

  • Respect to the Canadian armed forces.

  • go look up "my salute to Canada" and give him hell. he has no idea what what is Canada amd thinks are soldiers are stupid to put it softly and i for one can not stand down to such comments.

  • 1:14 is that the c9 or c6?

  • awsome. this is why im proud to be candian we kick ass... run through feilds taking fire, sending fire back. kick ass. thank god for you guys.

  • Every country on earth think they kick ass. Canada is nothing special.

  • But only a select few industrialized countries actually do kick ass.

  • But you're a biased Canadian so you can't say that as an objective statement. I'm assuming you're including Canada in this select few.

  • Sure, and you're just a biased American who is full of himself.

  • this was some hardcore shit, moving through the open while firing (i.e. taking fire?), what a rush that must have been. Canadian infantry uses some gutsy tactics...

    Greets from Holland

  • this is why Im proud to be a Canadian...Kickin ass and takin fuckin names

  • best part is at the end.. noone even says anything because they all know lol..

  • Ambush a Canadian platoon and the ambushers become the victims pretty darn quick.

  • you said my brother

  • Yupp the American M4 does not use the 7.62,thats a real rifle big-shot bullet, used for sniper rifles. The AK-47 uses the 7.62x39mm,which is a 7.62,but smaller and fatter,So dont get mixed up.All carbines fire a light round,Thats why its called a carbine.

  • The C8 and M4 both use 5.56.

  • at like 1:07 a guy standing up with a machine gun "you like that!" haha you guys were fucking owning! keep up the great work and come home safe.

  • ARE WE MEDDLING IN AFGHAN AFFAIRS? Sunday, August 19, 2007 KABUL (Reuters) - Afghans should stand on their own feet and save their country from further foreign MEDDLING and intervention, President Hamid Karzai said on Sunday as the nation marked the 88th anniversary of its independence from Britain. Can we win?

  • We are helping afghan re-stabilize. We are helping them build a strong army that can help themselves. But until that time they need us to show them the way. Canada is doing a very noble thing in that country. Aside from our combat role, we have injected ourselves into the government (on their request). The afghan government wants us there, and needs us there. Our troops and policy makers are doing a great job. Our purely Canadian way of handling the situation will surely stabilize afghan.

  • It's beyond the Brits and Canadians, as they are, to stabilize Helmand and Kandahar. Kabul Govt is corrupt 99% of AID money vanishes! Peasants in the south are isolated from KABUL...That is why they support the Taleban...That is why there in an open OPIUM MARKET in down town Kandahar. and that is why our troops drive round the city!!

  • ok, so lets just leave, let the innocent civilians take the fall. We are there to help the people...which means we have to change the way the government does things. Which is why Canada was invited to take a role in their government. The fact of the matter is we are there and we cann't pull out until we stabilize Afghan, and bring peace to a war torn nation. Regardless of your liberal views.

  • Give your head a shake, GarryCollins.

Not all people who oppose the war in Afghanistan are Liberals and not all who support it are Conservatives. Fuck man, you're making us Canadians out to be Yanks with that "me versus you" mentality.

You were sounding pretty smart up until you made that comment.

  • Its nothing like that. Getting out of the war IS a liberal view. There's nothing wrong with that. Its not "me versus you" mentality in any way. I'm just saying the fact of the matter is we're there...we have to stick it out, regardless of what any political party thinks.

  • No. Support or criticism of the war is a personal view. The political parties and their leaders have taken a stand themselves one way or another, but do all Canadians follow their party's lead at all times? Of course not.

Again, you'll find plenty of conservatives who oppose the war and plenty of liberal who are in support of it.

  • i didn't even know canada had a military much less a good one :P these guys rock. i hope all of em come home safe.

  • what the hell...what an ignorant statement...do you think a fully developed country won't have an army of its own?

  • i was joking. i know canada has an army.

  • just remember, Canada has won the international war games 25 years in a row. We hold the world sniping record. Our JTF2 is considered on par with israeli special forces. Our reserve and regular force are on par with each other. We have amongst the most mature, best trained and professional army in the world. We're just small, something like 60 000.

  • support the troops

  • This seemed like a pretty poorly-executed ambush. Who attacks troops out in the open with an RPG?

  • Is there any real difference between the C7 and the M-16?

  • yes. the c-7 has modifications to its barrel, forestock as well as some different internal mechanics.

  • didnt the original m16 come with a 3 round burst option??

  • this not a m16 its a C7A2

  • Well they modified the C7 using the M16A2 specs. They've reinfored the barrel and added a flash suppressor. That's it. Personally they would have been better off with a bigger caliber like the M4.

  • What? They use the same caliber ammo. Our C7A2 also comes with econ LED sight, pistol grip and collapsable butt stock (just like the M4) except it still has a longer barrel for higher accuracy (like the M16). Have you seen the newest C9? Its a SAW made for urban combat---nice n compact.

  • Well last time I checked the M4 uses 7.62 ammo, unlike the C8 which uses 5.56.

  • but we're talking about the C7A2

  • PeckerDuff: what proof? the stuff you pulled from your ass?

  • major Dawes: Since u r not American. No wonder u couldn't understand what I was saying. I will be tossing the 'print-outs' of previous blogs Why did u swear @ me so often? Name calling? My dau & S-I-L. both instructors, know that they r trainng personnal for combat, knowing first hand, they will be deployed once they arrive to their units. I drove one such to the airport a couple of weeks ago. It's hard, knowing what u know.

  • lol "why isnt that guy dead yet?"

  • You can clearly see a Canadian flag on the shoulder of a troop at one point. That and the fact that theyre using Canadian weapons and gear. Peckerduff, I'm a Canadian troop myself and I've gotta tell you that you're wrong about the 90% casualties. We haven't suffered that level of casualties in either of the World Wars and we most certainly are not in Afghanistan. You said at one point that you were a pround Canadian. Awesome, I'm glad to hear it man, but in this case your numbers are way off

  • Aye, 44 (45 if you count the diplomat) out of 2500.

    ~Thanato

  • dileasqubrath:I know the death rate for Cdns isn't 90%. Dawes & 'his pal' take Scott Kertson's tape and make their own. their Yankees! Read the credits at the end!

  • What do you mean i make it my own? your comments make no sense! And I will say this one more time: Scott keterson is an american Traveling with the red devils from edmonton! Edmonton is in Canada dumbass!

  • Dawes:Okay Why did u make fun of my dau, who is an instructor in th Canadian Military, as is her husband?

u also knew 'cunt was a rude word in this country! Yet I have prints of u calling me that among other names

  • Major Dawes: Plse accept my apologies for mistaking u for an American. My son-in-law instructor, of Demolition wants to go to Afghanistan. My father's side is French. To that end I can't give u my maiden name, as it would be recognised. I'm been tested for cancer & my concern is 'How do I tell my daughter? If he goes, & the tests turn out to be cancer, then my dau will be left to deal with it, alone

  • OK one thing is those where canadian troops. The c7 had elcan 3.4x scopes. the man video taping it is american but thats the only god damn yankee and he is not even in the video. and the thing about 90% of canadian casualty rate is bullshit, my friend is a intel officer for the canadian army so he should know.

  • Major Dawes: Finally come out of the closet? You will be losing your friend, when I take my proof (4 printed copies each) to a number of people that I KNOW!

  • Dawes: Oh Boo Hoo! for your Yankee friend..Take a hike, as you 'INTEL' sucks!!!

  • Gee, you think they were Canadian troops. No shit Shirlock. The flags on the arms would tell anyone that. Canadian's are doing very well over there. Too bad the Americans mostly pulled out and went into a useless war with Iraq.

  • Major Dawes: I've stripped you like a 'stuffed pig' on the Canadian Military site. Now I see ur really burnt out!, as a whineing sniffling pig that you are. Ur intel sucks & of course been a USAF 'soldier' "You should know!" Wow! Friendly Fires prove that!

  • peckerHead oh, i mean peckerduff, my friend IS NOT an american and IM NOT in the USAF! Tha guy FILMING it is an AMERICAN!

  • What the hell do you mean you've "stripped me"?

What did you do? post something?

  • Look, peckerduff is obviously nuts. I just blocked her.

  • Major Dawes: No I have not posted anything. This is just a FYI. I hope this goes for all of us to get back on track. I not crazy, just a concerned mother, who lives in fear that my S-I-L, gets his wish. Or my dau.

  • If you pulled stats from anywhere besides up your ass, you'd know it was 0.3%. (44 casualties which includes 6 from friendly fire and 4 from automobile accidents -- TOTAL from 2002 to 2006).

  • we have to destroy all iSSlamists!

  • nice video of the canadian bitches of george bush killing kids and women.

  • Yeah, all those kids and women who hide in the bush and fire on Canadian soldiers. Get a life you loser. The last thing we'll do is listen to some idiot from the undemocratic and oppresive regime of Algeria.

  • Canucklehead:I sooooo agree with you! Some just sit on their chairs and think they know it all..! Dau & S-i-l instructors Candians.

  • Some people just don't think before they put their mouth into gear. Everyone is now an armchair policy maker, or worse, an armchair soldier.

  • Canuklehead: Another way of putting it is 'the Russian trots=meaning diaherra of the mouth.

  • By the way, thanks for agreeing :D

  • Thank you for sharing this.

  • It was Canadians

  • so i cant fucken tell My troops apart from canadians? i was there you fucken idiot i was yelling frag out the whole time as we did a rea sweep.

  • Lol, and which level of BF2 was this?

    ~Thanato

  • i guess you can't tell then. check the patches on the arms dude....Canadian flag.

  • that was US soldiers u nubs! i was there

  • Judging by the Canadian Flag Patches on the arms... I'd say Canadian.

Also I think I saw C7s as opposed to M16s...

Unless US soldiers are wearing Canadian patches, and using Canadian weapons, I'd say you're the nub.

  • lindaquiterez: Take another look at the shoulder patches, There r 2000 U.S troops in Afghanistan, that I agree with. but listen to the accent!.

  • The soldiers in the video are Canadians...check out their shoulder patches and their uniforms. Also, if you listen closely, you can hear that they have Canadian accents or Canandian twang.

  • elliottqce: Just out of interest. What accent's? How do we sound, that shows us we have an accent. I'm truly interested to know. From a PROUD CANADIAN

  • A canadian twang. Make sense?

  • elliottqce: Not really, whan you figure in your southern accents.

  • Or Northern accents, or Chicago accents, or New Jersey accents.

  • Everybody has a friggin' accent. The only ones who officially do not have one are the English, from way back.

  • You're obviously delusional. Look at the patch on their left shoulder....clearly a Canadian flag.

  • you stupid noob those are canadian troops and in the begian it says 2nd platoon of Edmonton, canada dumbass

  • lindaquiterez: Ahhh, NO YOU WERE NOT IN AFGHANISTAN, WITH THE CANADIANS. LEARN TO READ, AS THE INTRO TELLS YOU, WHO THEY WERE, WHAT REGIMENT, ETC. OR ELSE SHUT YOUR PIEHOLE!

  • peckerduff, you are a twit.

  • RCR accompanied by 2RCHA and others

  • also 1,600 RCR troops will be going over there this winter (Royal Canadian Regiment)

  • HOLD ON BOYS THE VAN DOOS ARE COMING!! About 2,000 soldiers from the Royal 22nd Regiment, better known as the Van Doos, will head over in the fall of next year.

  • You can tell the Canadian Army guys here were very professional and very well trained. They worked well together and you could tell that they knew what they were doing. The Canadians have lost at least 42 soldiers in the last 3 or so months. The Canadians, the Dutch, the Brits, the Aussies, and the Americans are doing most if not all of the fighting over there.

  • elliottqce: Ah..The Aussies, are in Iraq, not in Afghanistan. The Canadians have a high death rate of 90%, but I do agree with u on the Brits, CDNS, Dutch, & 2000 U.S. Soldiers in Afghanistan. We lost 2 more Nov 25th/06; Death rate now 44. This includes the 'Friendly Fire' incidents.

  • Aussies pulled out several hundred Aussie SAS troops there approx 2 months ago. The Aussie SAS and the Aussie Commandos killed a lot of bad guys.

  • ellittqce: Canadians are not in Iraq, but in S. Afghanistan

  • yes, I know that the Canadians are in Afghansitan but not in Iraq. Why do you think that the Canadians are in Iraq? Whoever told you that the Canadians were in Iraq was pulling your chain, literally. Who said that Canadians are in Iraq? This video, along with all of the other videos on this section, show the Canadians in Afghanistan, not Iraq.

  • elliottqce:Valid question For years there has been an 'Officer Exchange Program' To that end, Our General & other CDN officers, were on this exchange. They could have come back to Canada, but chose to stay. The General 'in charge' in Iraq is a Canadian General

  • ellioqce: I do not recall any Aussies been in Afghanistan. Brits, 2000 U.S. troops & Canadians (90% death rate for Canadians.

  • There was a substantial presence of Aussie SAS troops right after 9-11 (in OP Anaconda) and about 4 or 5 months ago (2006). I suggest doing a google search on the Aussie SAS in Afghanistan. The Aussies still have soldiers there in small numbers and in even smaller numbers in Iraq (where they protected the Japanese troops doing humanitarian work).

  • elliott: I now remember right after, Aussies being there (Afghanistan) r-after, 9/11. Canadians protected other Canadians while they built the road, with some of the 2,000 U.S. soldiers. Ya just gotta know that if a suicide bomber drives past 2 U.S. soldiers to detonate a bomb, just to get to the CNDs, we are indeed a marked target! Not to mention the RPG's ouside our base. We r in the 'hot zone'. DO NOT TELL ME WE DO NOT HAVE A 90% DEATH RATE!!

  • So, according to your logic, since CDN troops have a 90% death rate, then only 10% of the strength of the Canadian Army units that deploy from Canada to Afghanistan returns back to Canada alive (100% of the unit - 90% killed {death rate according to you} =s 10% alive)

  • Hey peckerduff, we do not have a 90% death rate. Smarten up.

  • Poseidon500: I know. <grin>

  • You do realize your comments make you look really dumb here. peckerduff, I am not impressed.

  • elliottqce: Aussies Have not been in Afghanistan, sinse the blockhead (BUSH) went galloping off to Iraq. I would therefore SUGGEST, u do a google search & place the results up your cholate wizway! No Aussies in Afghanistan!

  • What's your e-mail address? I'll send you numerous results from an "Australian Army Afghanistan" or "SAS Afghanistan" search via google. Aussie SAS just pulled out of there approx 4 months ago.

  • elliottqce: LIKE I SAID, U DO A GOOGLE SEARCH! TAKE THE RESULTS OR GO TO YOUR U.S. SITES FOR AFGHANISTAN,(OH THAT'S RIGHT YOUR PEOPLE SEEM TO HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE 2,000 U.S SOLDIERS IN AFGHANISTAN. PLACE THE RESULTS UP YOUR HERSEY HIGHWAY!

  • Peckerduff, your comments would be better received if you didn't use all caps (which implies screaming) and if you stopped the comments like "up your hersey highway". By the way, it's Hershey, not hersey.

  • elliottqce: U the caps r used for emphsis, spelling used to shorten words. U would be better to look @ the U.S. Marine Corps squad leader, Wuterich along with 3 more; now in Camp Pendleton facing 1st degree charges along with 8 more to be charged with "Derelition of duty' Slaughter of 24 innocent Iraqs, slain point blank range by these guys. Little 2 or 3 yr old children, women, men, etc. They r with the others there for the other murders/torture from your military!

  • Peckerduff, It's obvious that you hate our military (judging by your comments). In case you didn't have any knowledge of law, just because someone was charged with a crime does not mean that they are guilty. Case in point- Duke Univ. lacrosse team- 3 guys charged, the DA (Nifong) launches a politically, racially based case against the 3 rich white boys, and the charges are dropped due to lack of evidence. Just because someone is charged doesn't mean that they are guilty.

  • Peckerduff, Back to your statements again. Where do you get the statement that we have 2,000 soldiers in Afghanistan? We have more than 12,000 soldiers in Afghanistan. You aren't even close on your numbers!

  • elliottqce: Ya gotta be kidding me!?

  • Kidding you on what issue? Your flawed belief that 90% of the CDN soldiers die in Afghanistan?

  • elliottqce: This is going nowhere, as I do know there are only 2,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

  • Peckerduff, all conversations with you have gone nowhere. What is your source for only 2,000 US troops in Afghanistan? As of mid 2006, the US had over 10,000 troops in Afghanistan. Where do you get your facts? Do you make them up?

  • What do you base the 90% death rate on the Canadians? Do you mean that if a Canadian Army unit deploys out of Canada to Afghanistan, then 90% of the unit is killed in action in Afghanistan?

  • elliottq: Canadians have been fighting in Panijwai district since we got there in 2001. Our military comes under DND not like U.S. which comes under different states. Or some who are under Pentagon. We have different units. For security reasons I'm not going to go into specifics. We were the only Military targeted by insurgents. Different units deployed, when others come home & rotate.

  • ellittqce: Canada does NOT have a propaganda machine like U.S. I can base my KNOWLEDGE ON THE BODIES COMING HOME.

  • elliottqce: Many from 'friendly fire'; April/2002 4 killed, 8 more severely; Sept 03/06 Operation Medusea, 2 Canadians killed; Setp 4/06 2 A-10 WART HOGS (TIME 0530) CANADIANS JUST GETTING UP AND ALONG COME THE WART HOGS STRAFING CDNS, KILLING 1 & INJURING 29 MORE, HAD TO BE REPATRATRIATED BACK TO CANADA. W.O., SGTS. MAJORS, CAPTS, ETC

  • You still haven't answered my question about where do you base your statement on 90% of the CDN soldiers are getting killed....your country has lost soldiers, but not 90% death rate (your statement, not mine).

  • elliottqce: My statement that Canada has a death rate of 90% in the Panjawi district is based on fact! Thius includes "Friendly Fire by U.S.! Currently: Operation Baaz Tsuka underway. With an impreesive array of troops tanks armoured vehiciles & artillery. rolled into town Howz-e-Madad without firing a shot. Canadians in north, east, Brits to the west, & U.S. & Brits in south.

  • Canadians are in the south.

  • elliottqce: Canadians suffer a 90% death rate, in Afghanistan. I don't know what colour the sky is in your world, but as a Canadian I see the bodies repatriated back to Canada.

  • So, according to your logic, 90% of the Canadian soldiers deploying from Canada to Afghanistan end up back in Canada in body bags. What is your source for this statement? Did you just make this up?

  • elliottqce: I will NOT allow u to desecrete the memory of our fallen soldiers! So go do your homework, as I have had enough of your lack of active brain cells.

  • dude.. 90% dont die what about you talking about.. its more like 4%

  • Slobbergoat, yes, I agree with what you are saying. Peckerduff is making up the statistic about 90% of all Canadian soldier dying in Afghanistan. Peckerduff really needs to find a source to his statement...and hopefully it's not a source (1) in his mind or (2) in the opinion section of his local paper.

  • slobbergoat: Canadians have taken 90% casualties, since the War on Terrorism began.

  • Hey peckerduff, you are wrong. Sorry. We only lost about 40 troops.

  • Poseidon500: We have LOST 45 Cdns, Not about 40.

  • That's in the "about" range. Bu when you figure in how many Taliban bastards we have slain, we are doing pretty well. You cannot expect to go into combat and not recieve some casualties. I mean, they are shooting at you to kill you, not to scare you. Besides, I heard about the taliban long before they became infamous. They are the worst of the worst. child molesting, rapest murderers. I think our troops should stay there as long as they can.

  • Peckerduff, For about the 3rd or 4th time, provide me a source- any documented source- of 90% of all Canadian soldiers getting killed in Afghanistan. You refuse to provide proof of this assertion, and your refusal shows us all that you are just making this up. When did you make up the bit of info about 90% of all Canadian soldiers going to Afghanistan ending up in body bags? Why do you need to perpetuate your lie?

  • Peckerduff, Just because you see the bodies repatriated back to Canada doesn't mean that 90% of the Canadian soldier deployed to Afghanistan have died there. Give me proof- a source- where it states irrefutably that 90% of all Canadian soldiers deployed to Afghanistan have been killed. You can't!

  • canadian livees are what the poppie is all about

  • CANADA LOSING THE WAR?.. 21 Oct06 7:11 PM PDT

Canada has urged other members in NATO to provide more military support in Afghanistan. The Foreign Minister, Peter Mackay, said that a handful of countries could not provide the required secure environment.

  • Yahoo! News Sat, 14 Oct 2006 4:50 PM PDT

Two Canadian soldiers were killed in an ambush in southern Afghanistan, the defense ministry said, bringing the number of Canadian soldiers killed in that country to 42. Stop shooting. BUY THE POPPIES WITH Gold Maple Leaf coins. Not with Canadian lives.

  • How about you go over there and see what its like before posting a stupid comment like that, war is war man, it happens, the candians are doing a good job over there

  • Unless you want Afganistan to return to a taliban/al-quada refuge where women get shot for showing their ankles, where homosexuals are crushed alive by toppled walls, and any infidel (ie. non-muslim, that means me, and probably you to), is tortured, beheaded, or shot, we must keep fighting in afganistan, we have no choice.

  • canada / britain are the only ones doing a decent job out there.
