worst RPG of the year... consolised. no posibility to character creation, no keys customization... gameplay is all but intuitive... extremely poor skill tree, save points as the worst games ever (you cant save wherever you want), zero replayability, try to play with a mouse, couse its hard as hell (console control system) , no drag and drop system.. need to pres 4 or 5 keys to change a fking sword. i bought, i play 2 hours , uninstalled.. and i want my money back

@Bradatimrkonja Most things of the same genre, style, and theme will most probably end up looking the same. The same reason why you look like your parents because you belong in the same family, or "group". And people usually think that the latter games are clones simply because they can't get past the first thing they see and everything else fades. Also, "action arpg" is redundant, just saying.

@crypto66 the action arpg was a typo...it is redundant. The thing is though, once a successful game of a certain genre comes out, everyone else starts copying that. Ask yourself when was the last time you played a truly original game. DS II is a blatant rip off Diablo, and the trailer is...pretty similar to the Diablo 3 one...but that's just my opinion

@Bradatimrkonja And I ask you, is Diablo 3 not almost exactly a copy of Diablo 2? Granted they are of the same series, but likewise is what I keep saying, same genres=almost the same thing. In this day and age, it is very difficult to find a "real" game that would be original because there's only so much that can be done especially on an industry filled with, y'know, kids. The only ones being considered as "original" nowadays are those of the arcade or "mini"-game family.

@crypto66 There is a difference: sequels are improved copies of the original game whereas ripoffs are usually(note usually) simply bad copies. But if a studio manages to produce a relatively unique game of a known genre(by which I DONT MEAN ARCADES), the game will become a hit...just look at mass effect. And I hate studios who dumb down their games for ''younger audiences''. They turned Fallout into an FPS for crying out loud. True fans of real Fallout are 20-30 year olds...or 17 like me xD

But you missed my point, I was simply using the sequel thing as an analogy of how things belonging to the same "family" or group can end up looking largely the same. I guess you can say that Mass Effect started the shooter RPG genre, but that doesn't mean those who followed in that genre are necessarily rip-offs. If a good thing works, then why change it, after all?

It's not their job to protect the children from violent media, it's the parents. @TheDangerNewt Yes. GPG didn't make two and Square bought out the IP for 3 (and on). I believe the strategy is to make a CRPG that is more Western by nature (whereas Final Fantasy is Eastern) to appeal more to Americans and Europeans, etc.

IMO Dungeon Siege 1 was no doubt good. But Dungeon Siege 2 had better gameplay. It was the atmosphere of Dungeon Siege 1 that was missing. Combine good qualities of both plus story telling of Dragon Age we might just get the Best RPG of the decade in Dungeon Siege 3......
