@pimpjuice8921573 technically yes and no. Stock type s is rated at 200hp at the flywheel, not at the wheels. Stock type s is really only pushing about 180hp to the wheels.
@TheJordanGraff honestly, for most people it would be a nightmare, but for me I like feelings like I daily drive a race car lol. So if you're worried about daily drivability, don't do it. You need to be very good with throttle and clutch control. I noticed you need to feather the clutch rather than feathering the throttle.
its might be just me but I feel like youre not making as much power as you should be with ALL of your mods, i think i only saw 208? Ive seen guys with I/H/E Kpro make more than 215whp, but hey i could be wrong, but try a 3" catback
@matienzone you're right. I made 221hpme but that was with a stock midpipe. If I had 3inch from the header back I would probably make closer to 235-240ish. Plus the place I got my car dynod reads low
OMG!!!! My car looks just like yours well i barely got it so it doesn't look as nice as yours.. I want to work on the engine mods first before I work on the body any suggestions?
Hey man, your RSX looks soo clean and sick!!! But having a ITBS the air goes straight in, and there is No filter to block dirty air :S ???? Wouldn't that be very bad for your engine????
@ceeneree3 ok I also have a RSX I will be doing my engine up, so this year will be the last year I drive my car all year around... For the last 3 winters I was dumb and drove it sometimes in the snow a bit... I want to get another car for the up coming winters, I live 30 mins from Toronto Ontario Canada. Just wondering how much more hp can I gain with a ITB??? So they go for around $900???
@GeMingPhong If you are just trying to get the sound, ITB's are not what you are looking for. The cost of them much outweighs the sound alone. If you are trying to make a naturally aspirated (non-turbo) track car, the ITB's would be a completely feasible alternative to a cold air intake or any other intake just because of the lack of restriction of the air coming in. Also, besides having to pay for the ITB's, you have to also pay for Hondata KPRO (about $1000) and a good tune.
ehh bro ive seen your ride at the m&m meet a few times and its seksi! Just wondering where did u dyno it i remeber hearing these sounds a while back when i was in Chino could that have been you?
@supraguy92 oh really? I hope that was when I still had my carbon fiber lip Haha (ran it over a couple months ago..RIP). Tune was done by inline4. And it may have been me. I go to meets all over socal.
What do you mean by a velocity stacks? I can only hear it from the back view when you rev the car. And Yes, I am talking about the part where it sounds like a turbo spooling. Sounds hella aggressive man, keep it up.
I got a question, I brought a 4-2-1 DC race header and people told me that they are restricted. Is that true? How good is the kidd racing race header? I am planning getting one myself.
@GeMingPhong the velocity stacks(air horns) kinda make a sucking noise and the sound of the air sounds like a turbo.
but Idk about the DC header.. but the Kidd racing/ClubRSX race header makes more power than the Buddyclub race header. And its about half the price. As for the itbs, yea there's a huge difference. That goes for power, response and of course sound
@GeMingPhong i assume you have an RSX, and if you arent a member already then go to clubrsx.com and join. theres a lot of good information about our cars and if you have any questions just post on there. theres also a CLUBRSX store on the website with a lot of good parts for our cars with very good prices and most of the parts have free shipping. just beware, theres a lot of guys that talk shit on there.. so dont take it personally.

So what you are saying is that the itb`s is not the reason why it is making the turbo sound and any cold air intake can make that sound? And, Yes I have kpro and it is tune, 220whp all motor. I did a foolish thing and bought a turbo whistler which it is a waste of money on my part. I like working on all motor but love the sound of turbo spool. So it bacially comes to the air coming in from the intake? If how, what can i do?
doesn't a stock rsx-s have 200~hp?

@ceeneree3 throttle/clutch control not a problem went to Skip Barber for that.... daily driveability how unreliable is it?

hey, I see that your rsx is non turbo but how did you get your rsx to sound like a turbo when you rev your car?
GeMingPhong 1 year ago
@GeMingPhong if youre talking about the sound when i let off, its the race header
ceeneree3 1 year ago
@GeMingPhong or if your talking about the thing that sounds like a turbo spooling, its the air getting sucked into the velocity stacks
