I have a bunch of Instamatic reels put away that need to be transfered to digital. I hope the picture quality is still good, they were made back in the 70's.
They may have used the camera, but the lighting sure didn't come from that mounted one on the camera. Anyone who knows anything about photography, still or motion, can tell you: Photography is about light. Proper lighting will look good on any camera, from disposable pocket cameras to a Hasselblad. Same with video and motion film cameras. That said, I'd love one of these Kodak movie cameras. Adorable!
Go ahead and buy it for the little lady

...Then came the Kodak line which enable moviemaking without movie lights, followed by the Ektasound line--you know the story with that.
Then came (drumroll) CAMCORDERS.

LOL, I have this camera. It came with a projector I got. Unfortunately it seems to be stuck in the "on" mode with the shutter jammed open.

I just got that same movie light with the camera and "bright" is an understatement. It's a 375 whatt bulb, and it actually burns to be in the beam :)

For $40 that image quality is good even by today's standards.
