  • Ya know ... we need the youth to bring the revolution - of hard, heavy rock back! I dont mean AC / DC though they are cool in there own wite, but the bands of MEANING - start Beatlish and move to Uriah Heap, Deep Purple, even flippin Mott the Hoople... Then Sabbath, and then spend "30 Days in The Hole... etc.

  • Oh yeah! I was zippin' through the trees in my trusty UH-1 in Germany listenin' to this one.

  • Music used to have balls. That shit that passes for music these days has been castorated.

  • Well, Maybe if Mark didn't demand 50% of the profits in the 1998 tour they would have been. They had great shot in 99 but they were already broken up. Plus the new band is much better.

  • This song is about kissing negro women's asses.

Lick her ass, yeah, black lick her ass.

  • how much do i love this song

  • That is some FLINT Rock and F*&%^N ROLL! WHOOOO WEEEE

  • YOU Would, Because You Are A Slob!!!

  • Rock and roll...................

  • how would we vote gfr to be in the hof?

  • Goddamn this song owns so hardcore.

  • Outstanding

  • Grand Funk is great!

  • The beginning bass line is killer

  • Greatest keyboard solo on vinyl....ever! Craig Frost fingers are a blurr

  • Dude, the only live video in existence of GFR doing this song is up posted by ForReelFunk.

  • Yet Aretha Franklin, is?? When did she ever do any Rock -N- roll??

  • And these guys are NOT in the so called

Rock-N-Roll HoF, makes the entire thing a joke.

  • agreed 100%

  • @neezledoo I think when people hear the name Grand Funk Railroad, they think only of "We're an american band", "The Locomotion" and "She's some kind of wonderful" which have nothing to do with their whole career (like "Twist and Shout" has nothing to do with the Beatles' career). How do you promote again the Red Album from 1969 by GFR? How do you make that magic reappear? I mean it won't happen again if something big happens for them.

  • @neezledoo Damn straight considering that GFR is one of the best Rock & Roll bands EVER to come out of the USA without a daught.

  • @neezledoo These guys should absolutely be in the fraud known as the rock n roll hall of fame.

  • @neezledoo I hear you , they got to make room for abba and Madonna , . . .wtf???? thier not even american , these boys are , . . . I know them , Im also from Michigan , and lived 20 miles from Marc

  • This song is really sophisticated. Love the bass, organ, and vocals

  • When ever I listen to Mel's bass playing , it gives me a boner.......One of, if not the best bass players of all time........

  • this album kicks ass,a classic ,like the who ,whos next album

  • Man, Schacher has some of the best bass lines. One of my favs is from American Band.

  • On this one, Mark Farner's vocals make the chills run up my back. Incredible vocalist!

  • You're right, Mark is a great singer. The stuff he does at the end of "Miss My Baby," oh man. Musically by '75 (Born To Die), Mark, Don, Mel & Craig were creating really sophisticated hard rock. Mark and Tommy Bolin are my fave rock guitarists. I dig the Gibson Mark used on the '75 world tour. I know he likes Parkers now, but I love the sound of the Gibson.

  • Yeah, the first time I heard Bolin was Deep Purple's "Come Taste the Band." A great guitarist with such style and sophistication. And what a presence on stage!

  • the drummer is singing

  • Yes, Don Brewer in the main, but Mark is the one doing the high pitch screaming.

  • No, Brewer does the high screaming too. Check out the live version of this song.

  • i checked out what you recommended and yes, you are certainly correct. it's just that in this recorded version, i hear farner doing the screaming, and not brewer...but now i don't know what to make of it. must be mostly brewer, if not all.

  • One of the great song from Grand Funk, the all American Band thanks for posting this they were my frist rock & roll group I listen too

  • Perhaps this is already obvious to most, but on the live Caught in the Act, Don does all the lead vocals. It sounds like Mark does the chorus part on the studio, however. I love this album track, but I sorta cringe when Mark does the screaming part. Don was always so good at that.

  • remembering one particular chick of mine during my college years..

  • Hear you, but in my case, now in my forties, and best description I can give of her is a panther.

  • Awesome song. I like the "Caught in the act LIVE" version better but, what the hell....Thanks for the studio version. I lost my 200+ album collection in an eviction last year and have been redeemed by the grace of folks like you and you tube. Many Thanks!

  • I hear ya, another great rocker not posted yet,

Jet Lag by Nazereth, Got it?

  • THANK YOU!

  • thanks for posting;great album with many fine tunes
