I have a lift that is designed for the home mechanic, see my videos or search: "Finished Garage With MaxJax 2 Post Lift" for a guided tour of a remodeled garage interior, plenty of ideas you might like, storage, workbench, heating, floors and more!
Waste of brake fluid opening the bleeder valve when pressing the piston back in. Unless you've added brake fluid after installing new brake disks/pads last time there is enough room to fluid go back to reservoir without overflow.
@mcmaddie This might be a dumb question, but please forgive me, I'm a beginner and wanna learn tips and tricks: Can I not remove the Bleeder Valve when pressing the Piston back in EVERY time, or after a certain amount of times of changing the Brake Disks/Pads, do I need to remove the Bleeder Valve? Or do I ONLY remove the Bleeder Valve after I've added Brake Fluid the time before?
@fredmar56 I noticed error in my first comment. Or course it's possible to have overflow if the brake fluid has been changed and brake fluid reservoir has been filled too full. So in that case you might need to open the bleeder valve when pressing the piston in. And you should change brake fluid more often than you need to change your brake pads/disks.
This is why I don't go to Autozone anymore.

why everyone spray brake cleaner all over the caliper. It will damage the piston seal...writes on the spray to not spray on the rubber parts.

Hi,
What model is this car?
What kind of lubricant did you use?
What happens if I don't open the bleeder valve when I push the piston back in?
Thanks.

@avsdavidt1 Looks like a dodge caravan. Nothing happens if you don't open the bleeder valve. It will just be harder to depress the piston.

@avsdavidt1 remove some brake fluid from master cylinder before you depress piston;replace when done.
