GT4 sucked when they added that stabilizer bar when you turned the car left or right when going at high speeds on a straight. Hopefully they don't have that in GT5.

There is moderately OKAY damage...

Scrapes, dents, doors opening / falling off, hood opening / falling off..

They also made the crashes better by making you able to flip, not just spin..

massive fail if they don't follow through with rolling cars.....i dunno if you've ever seen or been in a car crash but it doesn't take much to make a car roll especially when the ground clearance is one inch and you hit an apex

Yeah but if they include rolling, if you stay on your roof, how do you get back onto your wheels? randomly flip? thats not realistic also as loads of people are whinging for massive amounts of damage, the whole car would have to become deformed and more than likely- totalled.

Yes Forza has roll over but its unrealist and shit looking because it just gets a few dented panels.

another thing is, if you can send a car flipping by whacking into it, there will be more dicks online smashing into you

just like in live for speed and many other games, once you roll over you press a 'reset' button on the controller. not very complicated. gran turismo is a driving SIMULATOR, i don't care who i'm playing with or how difficult it makes it, I'm going for realism.... plus gran turismo usually has an arcade more for pussies that don't want to wreck / lose control of their car because they're too lazy to learn how to drive

if you're going to be literal then I suppose the driving simulator would also have you sit in an office for 5 hours waiting to get your driving test, argue with a sales rep for a week before buying a car, having to spend 30 minutes changing the oil after each race...i mean come on obviously it's not going to be 100% true to life in every way - but we're talking about basic physics here!!!

A pointless argument because the GT series typically has a simulation mode and an arcade mode anyway.

nah right, i agree it would be good to have roll over but only if its any good. forza added it in, just so it had it, and well it looks appauling, its like they just based it on a tin can getting booted around. i would much rather it didnt have it in, then a shitty half arsed attempt at it but the creaters of GT are perfectionists so it wouldnt be half arsed, it would just delay the release date which more people would whinge about.

i agree completely. if i wanted to play a 'half assed' or even 4/5 ths of the version we WANT I'd just go out and buy forza, but I'm more than happy to wait for something that will be played for a solid decade assuming it's that good. (which it should be, they have tons of resources)

NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: We're happy to wait for a QUALITY product.

PD just confirmed yesterday that head tracking via PSEye will be in, and graphical enhancements from Prolgue like improved shaders and double the polygons per car now (400,000 per car now).
