  • The original AK design is the most reliable, effective battle rifle ever produced.

    /end thread.

  • @BennyNgYK not to mention stamped 1mm steel receiver doesn't add the weight it's the whole BCG/piston assembly that adds the weight. A scope doesnt magically add a match grade barrel or reduce the "slop" in the action.

  • @BennyNgYK ok? Havin a scope doesn't magically make something accurate. Ak are accurate enough WTF does a scope do? It has everything to do with the action, barrel, and ammo. Polymer vs wood yes lighter. Stamped aluminum "frame" not sure what part the "frame" is but it wouldn't be able to hold the BCG in. You need steel rails to hold that BCG in place in the receiver if that's what you ment by "frame" forged aluminum not sure but I'm sure there is a reason it hasn't been done.

  • How To Counter An AK-47's Short comings

    Inaccuracy-Add A SCOPE

Weight-Remove the wooden parts and change it to Polymer

-Don't Use Steel Frame , Use Aluminium

  • Ak is inaccurate.

Yea, it's not when you aim, shoot in burst and add a fucking sight.

    Haters gonna hate.

  • @111E982a Nope. Ak's shots have a dispersion of 4-5 MoA; those of an M16 has 2-3. However, the AK is far more robust and less likely to jam.

  • @KingOfNormans the m1-6 is 1 -2 and ak is 3-5

  • @MrDip02 I seriously doubt it: 1 MoA is sniper rifle's degree O_o

  • @KingOfNormans i think 7 is acceptable i mean the ak-47 sometimes in bad condition can get to 6

  • Visit ________________ HOTDOCUMENTARIES,COM

  • The ar-m16 is the biggest joke played on the arms industry. Anybody with a simple understanding of mechanical construction will atest to.

  • Fuck my ak doesn't match my handbag....ok there Sally.

  • Fuck the function it looks shitty right? Bet you never used any I then in any tactical scenario. During tac classes a lot of that shit comes off I agree. But a flashlight is always good to have on a carbine especially in an inside and dark scenario and a good co-witnessed red dot is awesome but I do agree learn iron sights first. who cares if it looks ugly or not and focus on function.

  • Anywhere from 200 for a crapy wasr10 to 1200 for a custom krebs average good ak 500-700 for a norinco or arsenal

  • what does an AK 47 sell for on average US dollars?

    thx!!

  • @the82spartans

Anywhere from 400 to over 1000. Russian made [milled] are more expensive.

  • @oneznzeroz -- thanks! I take it the Chinese manufacture AK 47 model... thanks, again. One would think that they should all be milled but I understand it may save expense/time to skip during manufacturing.

  • 0:52 holy shit i live there!

  • if you have played MW3 i hope you are disgusted by the normal AK-47, which looks like a deformed M16. I was saddened by this

  • sturmgevwhr means storm rifle not assault rifle douchebags

  • M14 wins ,full auto, semi auto, accurate as hell, low recoil, almost impossible to jam, feeding system is not allowing it to jam,ak47 kicks like horse when full auto(i know how it feels i got chance to try it out) ,there is big piece of metal going left-right and its unbalanced so its throwing gun around like crazy

  • @KRAUSER0130 I've not had a problem with recoil and AK's. I've had very little recoil actually.

  • @CaptSanderson hmm, well when i had chance it was very hard to maintain accurate automatic fire :/

  • the 4 dislikes are from people who have a soap mod, bungie sling, red dot AR trash.

  • @rollthelosingdice

A soap mod? Does it have deodorant, foot powder and hair gel too? Lol

  • @rollthelosingdice Some one plays too much Call of Duty. It's SOPMOD for one thing. Special Operations Peculiar MODification. 10 Bucks says you don't know what it actually is.

  • @CaptSanderson I don't know, it's probably a scope, flashlight, laser, a bunch of shit that hangs off the handguards and makes a shitty gun look ugly. Yes people do it to AKs too and it makes me sick to my stomach.

  • Oops 103 not 105

  • The stg21 also is more like an ak105. Quality varies and is usually hit or mis with a century wasr10 but there are top tier ak clones just like in the ar world. Ak47world is a good source what to look for if thinking about getting one.

  • Type 56, wasr10, stg21, ktr-8, vepr, mk-2,sa93,slr96 all clones but built pretty much the same shit a Chinese mak-90 uses the 1.5mm thickness receiver and double hook trigger and is a very good clone along with some Bulgarian ones. unless you have a tax stamp and it was built before 1986 most civis are going to have a "clone" just like most AR15s are clones shit FN makes some m16s for the military.

  • At 200yds I can make very nice groups with my sgl-21 although it's a semi auto clone it still functions like an ak47 or ak-103. AKs are not as inaccurate as people who never touched one claim that said the AR/m16 rifle is not as unreliable as people who never touched them claim. 90% who post on these types of vids have very personal and strong opinions for never firing these weapons.

  • Stg44 had a tilting bolt while the ak is a rotating bolt...very different. Although some similarities of the two there are plenty of major differences like the way the bolt works (major part in a rifle) is really quite different.

  • They're testing fully auto weapons in California... Oh the irony!

  • @LearnToTurn7 They prob had to get the president to ok it .. hahaha

  • @LearnToTurn7 I'm sorry... I don't see it....maybe because I'm not American, could you enlighten me?

  • Mikhael Kalashnikov did not copy or steal the ideas of the STG44, they may look the same but eternally there completely different...

  • I've been told that most of the so called "AK-47s" are technically not true AK-47s, and that most are actually the Type-56 (called a clone by most, but it's still a different rifle) and The Warsaw nations almost entirely replaced their rifles for the superior AKM rifles (which were as reliable as the myths claimed the AK-47s were) making actual AK-47s effectively rare guns. The designation "AK-47" is also erroneous, it's really the Avtomat Kalashnikova, but westerns called AK-47 so it stuck.

  • these people are fukin retarted in this video the reason they wanted a round tht can go 600+ meters its for stopping power and jus cause cuz u dnt want 5000 germans lesss than 300 meters or ur more in likely fuked plus ur not the one gettin shot at dam people are stupid as fuck

  • @gibroniloco Please find the time to proof-read your comments before you start calling people "stupid as fuck".

  • @wikieditspam your stupid as fuk

  • @gibroniloco mission accomplished.

  • AK 47 Je superiorno oruzije zbog svoje pozdanosti...

  • One of the best in the world. Only the new State of the art rifles can compete with it. The HK G36, AN-94, & ACR are better but expensive & complex compared to the AK47, and its descendants like the AK74, and AK101 etc. Every Russian weapon from 1947 is essentially an adapted AK47, the action the same, how to load it, etc. It is the most historical gun.

  • @boffinboy100 russia dont use the ak-101 that for export.the use the ak-105 as a replacement for the aks-74u.and the ak-200 will replace the ak-74m

  • @erer270

I didn't say they did use it, but thanks for the heads up on the AK200.

  • Best rifle in the world nr 1

  • so what happened to that Kalashnikov guy =S ? probably he got killed as the others who were intelligent =( it says that, when those Russian builders, built the Kremlins towers, those builders got their eyes removed so they couldn't not build the same buildings in other countries =( that sick =(

  • @JohanOlsson wtf are u talking about man is alive and he was at celebration of AK-47 fifty birthday,u believe to much in americans propaganda that is truying to portrait everyone as bad guys and only americans are good guys and saviours of this world

  • @obrad79 hehe sorry about that =) I was thinking of somebody else =) sorry my bad =) take care and have a nice weekend =)!

MY MISTAKE I ADMIT IT =)!

  • @JohanOlsson it was built during imperial Russia

  • @Berazarulez yeah I'm sorry =) I was thinking about a nother guy hehe =) yeah thanks for the info =)

  • Nazi was badass!!

  • @kerojis haha yeah =)

  • @kerojis So you like losers huh?

  • To anyone who says that an AK is inaccurate, I think a lead wall has a damn good chance of hitting its target.

  • @DiscoDude82 pardon me for interfering but the AK-47 is not pretty good in long range compare to the m16 and FAMAS even thought they have smaller caliber round they can shoot the enemy's head at very long range so the ak can be considered old today

  • @903strikerunit True, assault rifles like those are individually more accurate, but thousands of rounds from AK's do the same job and have a psychological effect as well.

  • @DiscoDude82 but if you continuously fire the AK. you'll wasting ammo which is vital for this gun because of it's bulky magazines which is hard to carry. check the documentary ak vs m16 if you don't believe me

  • @903strikerunit Good point, but the average Soviet conscript wasn't an expert marksman like a standard M16 user, so I'm saying that their only option was to keep firing until they hit something and rely on their buddies to shorten to make hitting something more likely.

  • @DiscoDude82 so they're just a bunch of untrained soviets firing their AK's wildly while the U.S marksmen shoot them one by one at long range with their m16 and m4's

  • @903strikerunit According to the department of defense, the a US soldier armed with a M16 would use 50,000 to kill one enemy soldier in Vietnam. So I guess US soldiers were shoot their M16's wildly too. One of the reasons why they took out full auto for a 3 round burst I assume. Soviet soldiers were armed were long range weapons too. SVD',PKM's, artilery.

  • @903strikerunit And that's why we won. :)

  • @903strikerunit Some things on TV are bullshit. Like the guy that fired 200 yards in that test, he can't shoot for shit.

  • @903strikerunit Most combat engagements are within 300m's or less, which is the AK's effective range. The AK-47 is an old weapon. Of course. The Russians have replaced it with the AK-74.

  • @DiscoDude82 it is inaccurate

  • @erer270 its not as accurate as a Remington 700 or similar , but its plenty accurate as a Galil, FN FAL, and the SCAR (provided you have a good zero on the sights)

  • @DiscoDude82 I've seen a couple videos talking about how it's sighting system is more akin to that of a machine gun than a rifle, it wasn't really built with accuracy in mind, however it is still very inaccurate, and for a soldier being able to hit your target one the first shot is going to be more important then spray and praying at 600rpm, and considering the AR-15s are more accurate, even at full auto at 800rpm...

  • @DiscoDude82

A goddamn lead wall is inefficient and wastes ammo

you only kill one or a few with one lead wall(20~30rds)

  • @DiscoDude82 xctly

  • Can anyone knowledgeable about the matter tell me if it's fair to say that this Russian man PLAGIARIZED the Ak-47 from the German Sturmgewehr??The looks are same and as the narrator here says the Russian old man was "Impressed" by the Sturmgewehr..Well, be fair in your answer...We all hate the Nazis, but let's be technical about facts!!

  • The most significant fact in the whole debate is that Hugo Schmeisser the designer behind the MP-44 was working in the same factory where Kalshinokov was perfecting the AK-47 and he stayed there from 1946 to 1949, the very year that the AK47 went into service!

I don't believe the AK-47 is a direct copy of the MP44, in reality it uses different features of various other arms and the design has nothing new or revolutionary.

I would disagree that it is plagiarized. More like innovated from MP44

  • 5:55 - Is the guy with the bike black?!

  • This AK47 is the only weapon is now being copied more and more and keep in mind that it can be accurate, but it is not designed to be a distance weapon as more engagements are not at a distance any more. It is the most reliable weapon on the market today and many specialized forces and anti-terrorist units use them along with anything chambered in 7.62 because of its powerful punch especially at close range.

  • I think the m1garand is more reliable or just about.

  • @FatRedneckTerrorist wow!!!!! that is what i thought b4 i know it was ''Avtomat Kalashnikov'' ,, i thought it was American Killer too!!! ... (^_^)

  • If an AK jams it's probably a chinese copy :D

  • @vasilikosolov Actually, I fired a Chinese copy in China a few years back and it performed as flawless as a Russian AK, I even dumped in mud and water. If any Kalashnikov jam, its probably an American made one that chambers a 5.56 round.

  • I think bolt-action rifles are more accurate, but if your talking about full-auto weapons, it's definitely the AK.

  • @AAV47 the AK on full auto has high recoil and poor sights wich makes it not very accurate.weapons like the german G36,Austrian Styer AUG,British SA 80,and American M16/M4 would be more accurate on full auto cause they have a smaller caliber and better sights than the AK.but the AK is the most reliable weapon ever created

  • @texasrangersr1 oopsie. I meant reliable, not accurate. definitely AK is the most reliable full auto there is out there, but bolt action wins :) never jams!

  • @AAV47 yeah bolt action are more accurate cause they have few moving parts.AK is reliable cause its tolerances are loose and has big simple parts

  • @texasrangersr1 Cool! I never fired a gun but am quite interested. I heard sniper rifles have "floating barrels" to ensure the barrel vibrates naturally for accuracy. What's that about?

  • @AAV47 not sure but some sniper rifles have thicker heavier barrels to avoid mussle jump

  • @AAV47 what you're talking about is a "free floating" barrel. The barrel doesn't touch the stock in order for enhanced accuracy. When fired, the vibration won't reach the stock since the barrel is attached to the receiver which is attached to the stock so that the natural vibrations won't be interfered with. When not free floating the micro vibrations created could throw off the trajectory of the round.

  • @duntazemebrahxD Ah I see. Thx

  • @AAV47 Yup. Sorry for the really late response though. haha.

  • yeah germany invented practically everything goog and bad on this planet! We are great!

  • @buehlerama yehp the new line of G36 rifles and youve improved our M4 Carbines into the HK 416s and the MP 5 the UMP series and the MP 7A1 some of the best guns in the world

  • @FatRedneckTerrorist i hope you were joking about that

  • the ak was made during ww2... i cant think of the guys first name but kalashnikova was wounded and he designed the weapon while wounded but he finished it in 1947

  • @axpxoxlxlxo Mikhail Kalashnikov

  • some one soh thiss idiot is the responsible for the death of many woman and chidren.

  • I still prefer a good ol AR platform

  • @MrCommentary100, what are you, five years old?

  • @tuck234, there is an smg version if the Ak, the name escapes me but it's chambered in 7.62x25mm tokarev, used by east german soldiers and Russian special forces

  • what are the defects for the ak47 apart from being heavy and inaccurate. the m16 clearly shows its flaws whereas the ak doesn't leading me to assume that the ak has an Achilles heel. my philosophy is that if show your flaws then you know you are vulnerable whereas if you don't show your flaws then your vulnerability will lead to your downfall.

  • @crawford4140 Its defect is its reliability. I guarantee that Kalashnikov will reliably miss its target 100 times out of 100 at any distance outside of 75 yards. Not a good weapon for well placed fire at ranges, but good for fighters who aren't trained on more advanced platforms like AR15, HK G36, etc.

  • @ericwendel987

I can assure you never had much experience behind a ak at all, ak rifles in 7.62x39mm with decent ammo can effectively kill targets out to 300 yds all day long. If that ak is in a 5.45 to 5.56 caliber, 400-500 is now its effective range. I own a few arsenals in 7.62x39mm and 5.45x39.5 mm and my brother in law owns a 5.56 ak, and I have proven this time and again, these guns are WAY more accurate then what people think. My ak gets on average 2-3 moa at 100 yds, that 6-9 in at 300

  • geremany = win

  • Comment removed

  • The true weapon of mass destruction

  • 50 year old yet still deadly klashanakov still rule his design

  • ak-74 ftw!!!!!!!!

  • I've shot an AK- 47 and it's a good gun. The tough part I think is putting in a new magazine.

  • Which rifle was turned into a sniper rifle? Which rifle was turned into a LMG? Which rifle was turned into a shotgun? Which rifle was turned into an SMG? Which rifle will still shoot after you shit in the receiver? Which rifle was turned into every other gun physically possible? The mother. Fucking. AK-fortyfuckingseven. NOT the M-shitteen.

  • @bakathirteen Your opinion is way too biased to give the AK that much credit. If I remember correctly, The AK47 was never turned into an SMG, but into a carbine yes. And look at the many weapons now that have been created. What you call the M Shitteen, was actually the base design for many high quality weapons like the HK416, FN SCAR, Bushmaster ACR, IWI's TAR 21, SIG Sauer 516, and many more. Also your comment on how the AK bacame all that, the M16 system also has done all those things as well.

  • @tuck234 Actually, there are AK type submachine guns, the PP-19 Bizon and PP-19-01 Vityaz.

  • @tuck234 FYI the tar 21 was based off the galil, which in turn was based off the ak47, so actually the tar 21 is based off the AK 47 too. Israel decided that the M16/M4/AR15 rifles provided by our military to their country were to unreliable due to the dusty environment israel provided, and thats why they made both the galil and the Tar

  • @DramaticGnome1210 Not really. the TAR 21's design was created by Zalmen Shebs, with the intended purpose of creating a weapon more suited to urban combat than the M16/M4 carbine. The Israeli Military saw the M16/M4 unsuitable because the gun seemed too long for tight quarters. The gun never was based of the Galil or AK in any way. Zalmen Shebs got his inspiration from the M16 an M4. He also saw many Bul-pup rifle designs like the SA80, FAMAS, and Steyr AUG. Thats how Zalmen created this rifle.

  • @tuck234 Actually if you look at a picture of it disassembled, you can see that the only thing it has in common with the M4/AR15 is the bolt locking mechanism, whereas the whole gas system is almost a direct copy of the AK 47 and Galil, the only difference is its further refined. Also, the Tar 21 takes the ideas incorporated into the AK and Galil of minimum maintenance, simplicity, large moving parts, and lots of room between parts not necessary to accuracy, so it is based off the AK designs.

  • @DramaticGnome1210 Simplicity of minimum maintenance can be found in a lot of weapons. The TAR 21 was designed to be very accurate as a full sized assault rifle, but maintain to be a very carbine sized rifle. The piston head design is refined, but you can't say it was straight from the AK. Zalmen didn't get it from the AK or galil. He designed the piston, which actually commonly used for AR15 models, and put it in the gun. Every weapon has to be tested to be easy to use and maintain.

  • @tuck234 Im not saying that he just copied the AK, just that he drew from designs such as the AK and Galil and improved them to help make the TAR a more reliable and accurate and assault rifle than its counterparts .

  • @DramaticGnome1210 Yes, very true. I agree with that.

  • People who badmouth the AK are talking about a weapon that is still being used today from Africa to Asia to gangs in America and Brazil. A cheap, reliable weapon with a 50 year design that is still being used today.

  • @1987Liono Means very little if they are used by criminals. The AK47 is copied so much during the 1950's-1990's that its not a surprise that they end up in the hands of criminals. The AK was only designed to be good enough weapon to quickly give to the countries soldiers. And when you say cheap 50 year old design used still today, it is just the one rifle. Most of the new weapon designs are based solely on the M16 or M4.

  • *insert Soviet russia jokes here-->

  • v in russian is not spoken like an f but as an normal v because many people say Kalashnikof and Makarov

  • the black mob would love this

  • I dunno but Kalashnikov looks a bit like tommy lee jones at young age

  • ak 47: good punching power, does not malfunction easy, but an okish range, the m16/m4: okish punching power, depending on model weather it malfunctions alot, but good range . so if I were to go into battle I would take BOTH with me :D

  • this was the history channel?

  • ..........americans rely too much on technology and air power now.........

  • @daybreak1HP Well i prefer the AKs open sights to the ARs ring sights in wooded areas just for the fact that i have more open view of the field. ARs sights are better for longer range shots though.

  • my favorite gun XD

  • The only gun that mimics the AK's silhouette is the Sa VZ 58, and its inner workings share some similarities with the MP44, namely the bolt lock.

  • @UCSPanther20 the insides of the vz 58 are very different. the vz 58 is way better

  • @BigBallfro25

I was thinking of the tilting bolt locks here, but you are right, the Sa VZ 58 is probably way better than the STG 44, and way nicer than the AK 47.

  • The AK-47 and its cartridge, the 7.62x39mm have killed more people then any other rifle and cartridge have. Thanks to the Viet-Cong and the NVA

  • i have this gun at home its amazing how in america everything has a documentary

  • rip of mp44 :D

  • my lovely gun and i don't care what people say about this gun.. i really love this gun

  • why is cold war called cold war?

  • @sasorinodanna13 Because the US and Russians weren't shooting directly at each other, which would be a hot war. They were usually using proxies to fight and selectively committing their own resources in places like Afghanistan and Vietnam

  • @sasorinodanna13 no weapons were fired but there was extreme tension

  • B 4 1

  • that guy is genius for creating the ak 47

  • Is the AK really that invicible? Its reliable and durable in almost any conditions from what I heard or seen. I read in a book that the AK had some fatal flaws with the magazine clip or something but I don't really know for sure. I would like to know the Ak-47's flaws because every other comment I read or seen was more about the M16's flaws which of course is obviously present.

  • @crawford4140 its HEAVY as fuck, inaccurate as shit, the ammo is inaccurate, not good ballisitical, and is heavy as hell along with the weapon system itself, the sights are shit but thats just me personally, the only people that use AK's are ones that cant AFFORD AR's

  • @de4th1snt3nough It weighs roughly nine pounds depending on the type, its open sights allow quick aquisition of target and its possible to get an eight inch grouping at 300 metres, so those points are kinda invalid.

  • @Krasnyi only if a soldier learns breathing techniques, gets a really good upgrade barrel, and really good precision made ammo. with russian/communist pact quality ammo and AKs any moa is not even possible

  • @de4th1snt3nough I smell a cod fag

  • @Rimes9845 I didn't even reply to the other comment because at the time of reading it I was with my friend and me and him nearly pissed our pants at the comment because it was so pathetic and wrong in so many ways I didn't even bother to comment, I mean its utube I'm only here to piss people off like everyone else but for god sake please go out and SHOOT whatever your going to talk about, and if that's the worst and most intelligent insult you have for me then I guess Ive not much to worry bout

  • @de4th1snt3nough

    you're actually so wrong.

AK might not be the best weapon when it comes to long range accuracy, but it definately is better at everything else basically than every other weapon. this weapon has been around for more than 60 years and is favoured by almost half of the world, and even till this day people still use it on a mass scale. If you say the AK is so terrible, well why are you americans having such difficulty fighting with a bunch of peasants and their AK's.

  • @AnalsaurusRex They have guns? I thought all they do is bury explosives on roads like the dirty little no life cowards that they are.

  • @theshortladders dont worry we are secretly exterminating them

  • @AnalsaurusRex because they hide in caves while doing it

  • @AnalsaurusRex The soviets had trouble with their AK's fighting the same peasants.

  • @AnalsaurusRex cause they barely fight, they just hide in there caves.

  • @BattlestarHailfire Because they had better tactics than run&shoot.

  • @DragonSkin342 it's called run & gun and if with tactics you mean targeting the helpless civillians then yes

  • @AnalsaurusRex its called the geneiva convention, basically its a "rules of being polite even when your tryign to kill someone" if that wasnt an issue, shit wouldve gotten settled allready.

  • @de4th1snt3nough AK is not that heavy, they are accurate up to 400 meters(good ones.) AK sights are perfect for battle, AR sights IMO are better for target shooting though. Good AK can cost us much or more then AR.

  • The AK-47 isn't all that accurate but hey I give it an 9.5/10 rating.

  • @anthonyli00 they acually are pretty accurate up to 400 meters

  • @bassanglr but if they lessened the recoil, it could be a hell of a lot accurater on full auto.

  • At 5:41 that german looks Bad Ass with that SturmGewehr44, bet he rock in a fire fight !

  • AK47 is a reliable weapon id use it instead of the M16 and im american born and raised.

  • the most reliable gun in the history of mankind the AVTOMAT KALASHNIKOVA 1947
