He's a good singer but the true and beautiful emotions legend Luther Vandross put into this song, are not at all conveyed by this singer...He gives the audience a good show but that's about it. This song has so much deep meaning to many, to Luther Vandross himself, and is thus one of the most beautiful songs where it is very difficult to impress the ones who love this song. No hard feelings, but he couldn't get the feelings right.

@98Degrees4You Joe was 18 singing here. Unbelievably, he is still only 20 years and is now onto making his 4th album. He sings Dance with my Father on his Classic album. Truly beautiful. He has proven that he can sing pop, soul, operatic arias, classic and his new album is going to be something different again. Luther had years to mature when he sang this song. Joe is doing a damn well good job without the memories to draw on. This boy can sing. Look up his full repertoire.

@PintofGreenTea I don't doubt his talents in any way but i believe that the feedback he got for this performance, the standing ovation, was not deserved because i think that bringing across the meaning of a song is an essential part of being a great singer. Of course he is young and will need more time to fully grow as an artist but when 6 year old Connie Talbot can nail "Somewhere over the Rainbow" a true classic...then I don't see why this guy can't handle a bit of constructive criticism.

I'm in America, have become a fan of Joe's, I cannot believe he hasn't made any American TV show appearances, Something like Ellen, Leno, Kimbel. He voice is amazing and I cannot thing of anybody winning two singing shows. Does anybody know if Decca is promoting him in USA on tour or T.V--WITHOUT QUESTION THE KID is one of the Best that ever won one of these shows!!!!
