  • I'm looking at ma comment n seems I wrote to much lol n it didn't display the rest of the post , Orr it's my iPod being awkward , but I said my verry important question was , can someone put up a link pls to be able to view it??

  • Ahhh man I am beyond gutted, I was at ma mates wen I was watching miracles for sale, so thought ild catch up later on YouTube .. But to my surprise it had bin basically banned? I understand why (there scared) but the fact is they broadcasted it on air on channel 4, I was into magic a few years back n understand hypnosis n Darren brown Is a one in a million at what he does and what he has achieved , and showing the world we can do anything when you set your mind to it ;-) ANYWAYS BACK TO MY VERR

  • More exposing of the dangerous nonsense of the supernatural please, people must be weaned off this stuff with hard hitting reality. It could take some time I feel but worth it.

  • Excellent work, Derren. Go on with it, this is actual culture.

  • anyone know a website where i can watch this on for free without copyright infringement please?

  • He'd do better to concentrate on debunking Islam, that is the way ahead. Nobody outside of America cares about Christianity, the next big thing to go must be Islam, people actually buy into that.

  • Derren Brown should produce a video debunking Christianity as I am sure that Christianity is a made up fairytale. If it is true then why hasn't Jesus returned yet like he says he will in the Bible. In the Bible he says he will return soon. Also why does the Jesus story resemble so many other ancient myths about God men and messiahs?

  • hey, during it, it mensioned an organisation that works agaisnt fake faith healers like that but i forgot what its called could sombody tell me and suggest how to contact them.

  • wwwdotwhywontgodhealamputeesdotcom Honestly ask that question and see if anyone actually has? All the proof you will ever need to know it's all bullshit including religion full stop. We live in a horrible world, shit happens and then we die. Only we can change our circumstances and it's about time we realised that before we are all fucked and our world has gone to shit. Believing in an afterlife only serves to trivialise our lives here and now, so come on, choose reality please?..

  • wwwdotwhywontgodhealamputeesdotcom That's really all you need to know! Name one person who's blown off limb has been grown back by some faith healer, that has scientifically been proven and peer reviewed and I WILL BELIEVE in God regardless of the hate and nonsense written in the bible. Period!

  • Darren Brown is a total fake himself. He's the master of deception and people buy into that. And he knows that. Which is why he does the shows he does. You can take most things in life and propose a counter argument. I watched some of his arguments against real healing. What a joke. Yes there are fake healers who profit from it. We know that. Darren has blackened the genuine with the non-genuine. Easy money for Darren. Very clever.

  • For one pleasant moment I suspected that this was going to be a good, full-length programme without dumb ads. Alas not, and I was redirected to OD4, with all its sad commercials. the second burst of which made me switch off. Sorry Derren, I'll catch up with what I was told is a great show later, but only when I can get it without C4/4OD's greed-fuelled irritating ads.

  • I dunno about healing miracles, but i have seen God's supernatural power on a grand scale, totally outside of a church setting. His spirit moved like a mighty wind through my office some tears ago...wow...what a scene!!! Boy oh boy! My supervisor saud "It's like a bolt of lightning has hit this place..or a Heavenly Message."

  • This programme should be shown throughout the USA. All these so called "Faith Healers" should be tried and sent to prison. Answer this Faith Healers. why wont god heal amputees? Now type that question into Google and you will get to a great website that exposes Religion for what it is. Nonsense. People like Derren Brown are doing Humanity a great service.

  • If the Saw films were real,I'd like to see one of these faith-healers tested by Jigsaw.

  • This programme was valuable and insightful. Good Lord some of those people in America and ignorant! It's incredibly sad how they are taken in by the garbage that these *pastors" preach.

  • It's astonishing how many people believe this 'faith healer' garbage - it's embarrassing to watch... some of these people are like zombies! Religion is a strange thing... how people believe there is a higher being Hmmm. There are good people and bad people full stop.

  • Another brilliant feature by Derren Brown - this should be compulsory viewing for all who believe in these crazy so-called faith healer's!

  • Yes there are fake faith healers out there, but not all pastors are fake faith healers, not all pastors are out for the congregation's money, there are true men of God out there. Even Jesus said that in these times, there will be false teachers who are out to deceive the faithfuls, that we should be vigilant and strong in the spirit to overcome this test. This documentary is educative, however, it may create the impression to unbelievers that all faith healers are fake.

  • I watched and I'm not being offensive to hose of you who are Christians. but it was quite funny how they reacted to the so called faith healers

  • @amazinglovesavedme please open your mind to the possibility that churches ate the mind control experts. The leaders are rich, they take money from the poor, they prey on fear! Surely if there is a god he will be shunned by those churches? What if his simple message is give up your worldly goods and follow me? Oh hang on I think he said that the last time BUT WE IGNORE THAT.

  • He did a good job with exposing the false healers and this stuff needs to be exposed to Christians especially. I already knew they were dodgy, because they just look like salesman and do not follow what I read in the Bible or at my church which is genuine. The only criticism I have against Derren is how can anyone trust a man so clued up on mind control? Do you not think that he would try to influence the audience without you knowing?

  • It seems so clear to me that the clear message of Jesus was the rich to give their wealth to the poor and follow him. So many Christians talk their way out of that in their comfortable lives ignoring the plight of the starving in Africa. You are the ones that need look to and ask what Jesus would do! (or is that too uncomfortable?)

  • Although this indeed does happen is 'some' churches it is not the case in ' every' evangelical church. Darren you showed an very in balanced view of the church and tried to discredit the work the God Himself does do through out the world. Indeed we are praying for you as one day you will have to give an account for your actions. May God have mercy on you.

  • @Sblackwood77 WAKE UP!!!!! These people are charlatans and you are blind. Maybe you should get a healer to make you see.

  • People who are in most need of help get mentally, spiritually and financially abused. Then to blame the 'victim' for secret sins after paying lots of money but alas no miracle cure, so so wrong and immoral. The Faith manipulators then fill their pockets, tax free. It's disgusting

  • Can't believe this is allowed to go on, the American government should be ashamed. I would have thought Christians would be even more outraged as faith healers are making a mockery (and lots of money) out of exploiting their God. The claims these people make are not only ourageous but dangerous.

  • @scoobietoots The one thing that wasn't mentioned in this film is the fact that the only time money is mentioned during a church service, it is always during the giving of tithes and offerrings. As christians, we are encouraged by the Bible to dedicate 10% of our wealth to God, however much that may be. That is a tithe. If we chose to give more than 10%, especially after praying about it, that is called an offering. No one is forced to do either.

  • @scoobietoots Derren mentioned benny hinn in the film, and whilst it's true that benny charges ticket prices, that is only to cover the costs of travelling with such a massive crew of people, all bringing their equipment, cameras, microphones, speaker, lights seats etc. Not only that, but benny will do a free service open to the general public, so that, if someone can't afford the ticket prices, but live in the area, then they can go for the service.

  • @25151206 whywontgodhealamputees ? Simple question. Non of these faith healers have any proof that their trickery has ever worked. Derren Brown has blown the lid of these charlatans. Period.

  • @garysgreat Although there aren't many accounts of amputees being healed, the Bible does describe the healing of a man who had his ear cut off. This was on the night that Jesus Christ was arrested in the garden of Gethsemane. One of Christ's followers,in wanting to protect Christ, resorted to violence and dealt a vicious slash to the ear of one of the arresting officers. At this, Christ told His disciples to stand down, and went on to heal the ear that was cut off. Therefore, God CAN heal amputees

  • @25151206 @25151206 OK God can heal amputees. So why does he chose not to do so? Infact why does nothing from god or jesus ever happen unless it was written in a book 2500-2000 years ago? Answer... Because it's all superstitious nonsense written by primative men who knew nothing of the natural world and wanted to control the the lives of others. Anything you say or quote from these bibles is not historical evidence nor is it proven fact.

  • @25151206 Also there is absolutely no evidence for any one healing an amputee just as there is no evidence for any of the bible nonsense too. It's a book, written by men. Any thing capable of creating this amazing universe really woudn't be bothered with our sad existence. The evil words written in the OT prove men are responsible for its fabrication. Contradiction after contradiction. Christ never spoke of any usefull knowledge either, and also contradicted his self too.

  • @garysgreat Also, about derren brown "blowing the lid of these charlatans" the Bible is clear that there will be individuals and groups of people who will resort to "selling miracles" and will attempt to lead astray the chosen of God. This has been predicted in the Bible over 2000 years ago, so derren browns "revelation" is nothing more than his own discrimination against Christianity. This is clearly proven in the very film we're talking about.

  • @25151206 The bibles about as clear as mud. So you agree that these people are wrong and leading their flock astray? So just who can the average church goer trust? Who is really showing the way. For that matter which christian sect really speaks the correct message of christ? The message is simple: Follow me or burn in hell. Either heaven is really full or it's empty because even christians do not agree on the message! That goes for all religions, btw. Its all sky fairy nonsense sorry...

  • @25151206 did you know that Derren used to be a Christian himself? perhaps he does a feel a bit of resentment towards the religion... a lot of ex-Christian do.

I personally am an atheist but I would not disrespect you by insulting your faith. I hope other athiests can do like wise.

However, you might wanna stop referring to the bible as a viable source as your talking mostly too non-believers :P if you can link us to some real life case studies of faith healings I'd like to read them.

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted Have you ever heard of benjamin carson, an American neurosurgeon and the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States by President George W. Bush in 2008. Guess what, he's a Christian, and he uses his faith in God to help him cure those who have had little hope in the past.

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted One particular case involved the separation of twins joined at the back of the head. Operations to separate twins joined in this way had always failed, resulting in the death of one or both of the infants. Carson agreed to undertake the operation. The 50-member surgical team, led by Carson, worked for 22 hours. At the end, the twins were successfully separated and can now survive independently.

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted The Bible teaches that, in all things, we should strive to do all we can in order to get a favourable outcome in certain situations, such as the medical separation of twins, and that we should pray to God to ensure the favourable outcome. Up until the night before the operation, ben carson was still nowhere nearer to finding a safe way to separate the twins, but after prayer and study, the answer to the problem shone out into his face. This is documented in his book gifted hands

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted Not only that, but when the parents of the twins presented him with this case, he told them that, as well as relying on medical science, they should pray. The parents were shocked by this, as they had never heard a doctor tell them to do this before, primarily because most doctors and scientists at the time were too reliant on their own experience and knowledge. I challenge you to name another doctor or professional who has achieved similar awards without the help of God or faith

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted And by the way, please change your profile picture, it's not particularly nice to look at, and personally, I kinda find it intrusive and offensive.

  • @25151206 why did u ignore everything I said and focus purely on my avatar? I'm sorry if you find one of God's creations 'offensive'.

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted When did I ignore what you said? You asked me to use another point of reference than the Bible concerning faith healing, and I gave a very good example. Concerning your avatar, it's not that I find one of God's creations offensive, it's just that I find what that person has done to himself offensive. (I thought he was a woman at first) Not only that, gluttony and greed are both sins, so forcing that avatar on a christian, muslim, or even atheist is offensive.

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted The picture is offensive in the same way that pornography is offensive

  • @garysgreat As I've said before on this post, if he'd wanted to make a truly educational piece on faith healers, he would've included faith healers of various religions and beliefs, not just christians.

  • @25151206 Good point. That would just prove that it's all nonsense. Great idea, hope derren can in the future. Religion prays on the weak, poor and lonely. These people just take it one stage further. Gods glory is painfully lacking in our world. Mans destructive and primative intelligence will destroy both ourselves and other life unless we find a better way. Believing in a super man from above who commits genocide towards his own creation and creates disease to blight lives, is insane. Mad

  • @garysgreat Religion PREYS on the weak, poor and lonely, eh? Have you never heard of the salvation army? A christian church that does everything possible to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in need? What about cafod, a catholic charity that does a lot of work in africa and india, building safe wells, dispensing food and medicine, helping with agriculture, etc. There's another christian charity that wirks in countries where the penalty for being a christian is death.

  • @garysgreat This charity also does similar work to that of cafod, building wells and dispensing medicine, but it also teaches the local people about good healthcare and hygiene, training people to become qualified doctors, nurses and surgeons. They're also heavily involved in community development. In the words of Albert Einstein, The world is a dangerous place, not because of evil people, but because of good people who do nothing.

  • @garysgreat You have previously said that you don't understand the Bible. Try reading a childrens bible instead...they even have pictures in them so that you can become familiar visually with the way people lived and with what is being said.

  • @25151206 I have read the bible. It's rubbish. Harry Potter is more entertaining and has more truth about it. The bible is a book full of contradictions. I would rather chew my arm off than believe in this nonsense. But I better not, as NO faith healer could grow it back for me!! wwwdotgodisimaginarydotcom is a great place to start. I dare you to read this website and then ask yourself rationally, does the story of Jesus make any fricking sense, whatsoever? See the bible for what it is, manmade!

  • @garysgreat Ok, so what contradictions are there in the Bible? As for harry potter, the only truth in that story is that it was written in edinburgh, which not only inspired the architecture in the book, but is also a place where people still practice witchcraft to this day. The Bible, however, contains many truths, and has been the inspiration for laws passed by various governments and countries, including the uk. (the magna carta, as well as the houses of parliament)

  • @25151206 Lets start at the begining: The Order of Creation Genesis 1:11-12 and 1:26-27 Trees came before Adam. Genesis 2:4-9 Trees came after Adam. Genesis 1:20-21 and 26-27 Birds were created before Adam. Genesis 2:7 and 2:19 Birds were created after Adam. Genesis 1:24-27 Animals were created before Adam. Genesis 2:7 and 2:19 Animals were created after Adam. Genesis 1:26-27 Adam and Eve were created at the same time. Genesis 2:7 and 2:21-22 Adam was created first, woman sometime later.
  • @25151206 Who Has Ascended to Heaven?

John 3:13: No man hath ascended up to Heaven, but he that came down from Heaven, even the Son of Man.

No man has ascended to Heaven.

II Kings 2:11: And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into Heaven.

    Elijah ascended to Heaven.

Genesis 5:24: Also Enoch was taken bodily to Heaven at the age of 365.

    Enoch ascended to Heaven.

  • @25151206 Is it Good or Bad to be Wealthy?

Psalms 112:1-3: Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord... Wealth and riches shall be in his house.

    Riches are good.

Matthew 19:24: It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

    Riches are a hindrance.

  • @25151206 Is it OK to Judge?

Leviticus 19:15: In righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

God’s law given to Moses instructs the righteous to judge others.

Matthew 7:1: Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Part of Jesus’ sermon on the mount, instructing not to judge others.

  • There are a lot more contradictions and really there is only one possible conclusion. Either the bible is all Gods word or non of it is his word? And don't get me started on the old chestnut of a god who loves his creation:

GENESIS 6 & 7 Unhappy with the wickedness of man, God killed every living thing on the planet except Noah’s family. Men, women, infants and animals drowned in unimaginable terror and agony.

  • @garysgreat It's funny, you missed out a LOT of information, and used deception and half-truths in order to make your point. I will go through these passages you have mentioned one by one, and hopefully, you will see the truth in the Bible as I do.

  • @garysgreat Concerning the tree issue in Genesis, God created trees before he created man. In Genesis 2:4-9, it is mentioned that God had already created plants and herbs, and watered the land. But isn't a tree also a plant? And living thing that you can put in the ground in order for it to grow is a plant, wheather they be crops, bushes, wild vegetation, or trees. The reason for this is because they all grow in the same way. There may be different species, but they are all plants.

  • @garysgreat As for the placing of man into the Garden of Eden, the garden of eden was already planted, and God placed man there when he was created. The entire verse is an overview, or summary, of what happened during the creation of the world.

  • @garysgreat Now concerning the creation time of birds and animals. Genesis 1:20-30 state that they were created before man, as you say. However, Genesis 2:7-19 state that once man was created, God brought all the animals and birds that were ALREADY created to adam, for him to name. Here's a question, how can you be created before something that is already created? It is obvious just from this that you have no understanding of the Bible, but I will continue to explain the other passages to you.

  • @garysgreat Concerning the creation of Adam and eve. Yes, Adam was created before Eve, but they were created on the same day. Also, Genesis 1:26-27 is also a summary of the events that happened in the creation of adam and eve, and does not specify any sort of time frame, only that God made adam in eve in His own likeness, so that they could rule over all animals and living creatures of the earth.Genesis 2:7 only says that God created a man.

  • @garysgreat Genesis 2:21-22 states that after adam was created and placed in the garden of eden, God created Eve. Again, it is the case that Adam and eve were created on the same day, but at different time during that day.

  • @garysgreat As for proverbs 26:4-5, there are many circumstances in life, and different ways of responding to each situation. Sometimes, a fool will do something that is folly, and if answered or responded to, will cause the second person to do or say something foolish themself. However, a fool may say something that is folly, and if unanswered, the fool will consider himself wise, unless he is corrected.

  • @garysgreat It's like someone intending to say in public that the sky is green, as if it's big important news, when really, that will never be the case. If you sorrect that person, and say to them the sky is actually blue, red, purple, black or any other colour that the sky appears as, the fool will realise how foolish they are.

  • @garysgreat Concerning ascension into heaven. During the old testament, it was only possible to enter heaven through deeds, as every man is born into sin. The only reason why elijah and enoch were taken into heaven is because they were messengers of God and because they had done many good and holy deeds, and were deemed righteous in the eyes of God. But if we only get into heaven through deeds, what hope is there for everyone else who try but fail?

  • @garysgreat That problem is solved by the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. When Jesus died and rose from the dead 3 days later, He defeated death, and in so doing, opened the way for everyone to be saved from sin. Even elijah and enoch weren't able to get a free pass to heaven. They worked for it, and God, understanding the way of the world, saw them as Holy.

  • @garysgreat Concerning wealth, this is another matter which is dictated by circumstance, and another place where you picked out the bits that were useful to you. Psalm 112 states that anyone who fears the Lord God and lives in righteousness will be blessed in many ways, and one of those blessings will include weath and riches, not just for the person in question, but for their entire house. (kind of an earthly reward for righteousness)

  • @garysgreat However, Matthew 19 concerns a conversation that Jesus Christ had with a young rich man who wanted to know a way to get into heaven, other than following the commandments, which he'd done all his life. The way Jesus highlighted to him was to sell all his worldly possessions and to give the proceeds to the poor, and in that way, he would store up even greater riches for himself in heaven. But the man was sad when he heard this because he idolized wealth and riches

  • @garysgreat So having wealth and riches is a good thing, as it is a blessing to you and your family, but idolizing it is a bad thing, as the first commandment is to worship the Lord our God, and not to make for ourselves idols out of wood, statues, animals, or metal. (If it's the first commandment, it must be pretty important, eh?)

  • @garysgreat Concerning judgement, you AGAIN left out a whole lot of information that deals with the matter and is important to the understanding of the text. Leviticus 19:15 speaks about the treatment of people in court. It says that when judging over a case, we should deal with the person using JUSTICE and RIGHTEOUSNESS. In the words of the actual text

"Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly."

  • @garysgreat Matthew 7, however, teaches against making snap judgements or unfair judgements on other people. The reason for this is because we will be judged by the same measures and standards that we judge others. So if you judge someone fairly and with justice, you will be judged in the same way. If you judge using a bar that is unachievable, you again will be judged in the same way. So be careful how you judge others, as your judgements may turn against you.

  • @garysgreat Concerning the great flood during the time of noah, let me ask you a question. Before I ask the question though, let me just say that I don't know wheather you're a parent or not, and let me encourage you to take the question seriously, and for you to answer honestly, having put a lot of thought and deliberation into your answer.

  • @garysgreat If your child does something naughty, or some kind of evil act, such as push another child to the floor or steal, would you not tell your child off and punish them for their wrongdoing? Or would you allow your child to continue with that kind of behaviour, and eventually grow up to become a thug and a non functioning member of the community? For in the same way parents punish their children for acts of evil, so too will God punish His children for the same crimes.

  • @garysgreat It is obvious that a parent who punishes their child for doing bad things loves their child and wants their child to be brought up in a good way, so that the child will not commit crimes later in life. It is exactly the same with God. We call God our Father, and He behaves as such, giving us gifts and helping us when we're in need. Making sure we don't commit sin, and punishing us when we do. Anyone with sense can see this as true. You have sense, don't you?

  • @25151206 Sin. I didn't commit any sin. I never asked to be born. What eve did was eve's problem, not mine! God punishes all of humanity effectively for all time for disobeying his rules. But wait then jesbub comes along and re-writes gods message and in a flash turning god from a horrible monster into a loving, caring god? Oh what insane rubbish. Ask this question. Could a god, capable of creating the complexity of life and the universe, really give a rats arse about adultry? It's bonkers!!

  • @garysgreat the correct spelling is adultery, not "adultry". And yes, God DOES care, because adultery is an evil act, and because God is Holy, He can't stand or do anything evil, even telling white lies, as it goes against His nature. Concerning original sin, yes, it was eve who first ate the fruit, but adam was there too and did nothing to stop eve from eating the forbidden fruit. So adam is just as guilty as eve in that regard.

  • @25151206 Will you leave my pissing spelling alone! OK "we were made in gods image." So who's image was Homo Erectus based on. I guess you just will never get it. It's all a story. Made up shite. If god had wanted he could have erased adam and eve and started again. No need to destroy humanity etc because he could have started with a clean slate. But that would be a logical thing for a being of intelligence to do, and we know that bronze age goater herders wrote the bible!!

  • @garysgreat Evolution is merely a theory based on similar looking creatures. For example, is a whale shark a whale or a shark? Did a whale have relations with a shark to produce a whale shark? Is a cobra the same as a python, or a grass snake? And is it possible for a human to have children with a babboon? Or for a horse to have children with a zebra? Just because an alligator looks like a crocodile, that doesn't mean they can live in each other's habitat.

  • @25151206 Really, a theory. If it wasn't for organised religion, evolution would be fact. Allot of xitians except evolution as fact actually. Have you tried to understand evolution, try Richard Dawkins"The greatest Show on Earth." Do you agree that DNA evidence helps solve murders? Well that same technology has proven evolution. A chimpanzee shares approximately 95 percent the same DNA as us, fact! Our own bodies have evidence of evolution in them.

  • @garysgreat Even though dna evidence can help to solve murders and determine the parentage of a child, that doesn't mean dna evidence can prove evolution, as the only thing dna evidence can do in this case is say "humans are 95% similar to chimpanzees" That does not mean we evolved from chimpanzees, it only means we're similar to them in our genetic makeup. You also need to consider the fact that even a 0.01% change in the genetic structure in a being will have serious health implications for it

  • @garysgreat For example, if a persons genetic structure was changed by 0.01%, it would be possible for that person to contract a brittle bones disorder or other genetic diseases. So if a change in genetic structure were to occur and cause the being in question to contract a disease, where is the proof that an evolution has taken place? Surely the whole point of evolution is to improve the survival of a species? How can that happen when a being is less able to survive under normal conditions?

  • @garysgreat It doesn't matter if evolution is accepted by organised religion or not. If it were proven to be 100% true, then it would be a fact. However, it is still considered a theory by scientists, and so I class it as only a theory, not a fact. Your "belief" in evolution is even more dogmatic to my belief in God.

  • @25151206 Humans differ from most primates in that they lack a tail. The lower primates have tails, and the apes, which are believed by many to be our closest relatives, likewise are tailless. The human coccyx (also called the os coccyx) was viewed by Drummond (1903) as a rudimentary tail left over from our distant past and therefore vestigial. The coccyx bones were interpreted as remnants of a structure which strongly linked humans to the lower primates.

  • @garysgreat You're really not getting what I'm saying, are you. Just because there are similarities between species, that does not mean that evolution exists. The word to pay attention to when discussing evolution is the word THEORY. In scientific practice, when the word THEORY is put in place, that generally means that this is what scientists THINK happened, but they can't be sure due to lack of studies and a lack of evidence.

  • @25151206 Not wiping the brains=stupid. Placing the tree of knowledge=stupid. Making satan in the first place=stupid. It's all childish nonsense that makes no rational sense. I never said we evolved from Chimps, but we do share a common ancestor. Righting the wrongs? If only god, Satan and Adam and eve exist at the beginning, what is wrong with starting again? Search "Yahweh, had a wife named Asherah" That should give you something to mull over?

  • @garysgreat "wiping brains" Can you undo what has already been done? "tree of knowledge" Don't forget that the tree of life was also placed in the same garden. "making satan" Satan was created as a worship leader, and because of his beauty, satan became overly proud of himself and tried to overthrow God. It amazes me how cynical you are concerning christianity.

  • @garysgreat Nice try with the asherah thing, though you must remember that it was during time of exodus through to micah that the isrealis turned away from God, and as such, were banished from isreal and handed over to their enemies to live in exile. During this time, isreal commited adultery against God, since idol worship is a form of adultery as the church is what is known as "god's wife". Nice try, but you failed.

  • @garysgreat Granted, you never asked to be born, but you were born into sin nonetheless. Just as you had no control over where you were born, so too everyone of us has no say on wheather or not we are born into sin. However, because God truly loves us, He created a way for all who turn to Him to be saved. Even in the old testament He did this, during a time when He'd only revealed Himself to the Jews. Just look at the story of rahab, she was a prostitute who provided shelter for God's people.

  • @garysgreat So what I'm saying is that it doesn't matter what circumstances you were born into, God loves you, and if you just turn to Him, through Jesus Christ, you will be blessed in your life and your place will be secure in heaven.

  • @25151206 It's been that for years... I wonder why your the first to even mention it? and can you explain to me the relation between obesity and pornography?

Also, Benny Hinn ministry makes about $100 million a year... there's a very detailed report on him I could show you on youtube that shows his true colors including testimonials from people who claim he his faith healings had no effect in the long term... but I doubt your mind is open enough to watch it...

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted I actually WENT to a benny hinn service in london. Not only did I NOT have to pay for the ticket, I also had a choice of wheather to tithe or not. Also, I personally know someone who's life was saved by benny hinn's ministry. If benny hinn was truly a fraud, as you say, then these thing's I've mentioned wouldn't have come to pass.

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted As for the money that is donated to the Benny Hinn ministry, all funds are donated by people who CHOOSE to donate, as well as those who CHOOSE to tithe. Think about it, Benny Hinn is the leader of a mega church, with millions of followers worldwide. Now imagine, 50% of those who watch benny hinn will support his ministry by donating money, say 10% of their wealth. If the smallest tithe is £10, and there are 1000000 people who tithe that amount, the result will be £10,000000

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted That £10,000,000 is from 1,000,000 people who donate £10. Since benny Hinn's ministry is so big, and is supported by so many people who have kindly and unselfishly given a small amount of money, is it surprising that the total amount is so high? Use your brain before criticizing something you don't understand, ok?

  • Meh, no one listens to me

  • Most of you are missing the point.....Derren hasn't set out to discredit Christianity but to show up the crooks and charlatans who exploit people's faith.

  • @gerrymoran1 He HAS set out to discredit Christianity, as he has done on many occasions. The only difference between then and now is that he now has more experience covering his own ass. The Bible teaches that satan poses as an "angel of light" in order to confuse and mislead people. Derren is using the same tactic by claiming that people healed by faith are not actually healed.

  • @25151206 God could get rid of satan with a fick of it's finger. God did not have to put the garden of knowledge in eden. Thus damming us to sin for ever more. After destroying all mankind and all the other spieces he realised he was to heavey handed and sent christ to save us.... What a load of rubbih really. Does any of this really make one bit of sense, unless you were brain-washed with this nonsense at a young age? Just think of the basic story and think is this logical of a supreme being?

  • @garysgreat Your comment would make more sense if you spelled things correctly. As for your questions on the Bible and God's actions, refer to my previous comments to you explaining you "contradictions" from the Bible. Hopefully, you will use your "logical" and "reasonable" mind to understand what is being said.

  • @25151206 No dis-respect but I can not be bothered to cover the whole of your comments. Nothing that you say will convince me otherwise that the bible is man made bollocks. I turn to science or an encyclopedia when I want/need relevent answers. Sorry, I have nothing against peoples beliefs really but I do think all this god stuff is nonsense. Just to end you mentioned being saved from our sins. Just why am I personally a sinner? For that my friend is the reason all this twaddle is so stupid.

  • @garysgreat Why are you a sinner? Have you never told a white lie to save someone's feelings? Have you ever "borrowed" an eraser or pencil when you were in school? Have you ever lusted after another woman because of the way she looks, or another man even? Have you never argued with your parents? If you have even done one of these things, then you have sinned. Sin is the act of doing an evil deed, which in turn cuts you off from God. That is why you're a sinner

  • @garysgreat We are all born with the capacity and ability for doing great good. This is because we were made in the very image of God. Yet we are also born with the capacity and ability for sin, however big or small the sin may be.

I encourage you to take your time and read all my latest comments, as it took me an hour to answer all your questions and get it written down, so you not reading it would be incredibly disrespectful to me. I didn't have to answer your questions, but I did.

  • @garysgreat The reason why I chose to answer your questions was to clear up all of your obvious misconceptions about Christ and the Bible. Every matter you highlighted from the Bible was full of half truths, misconceptions, and misunderstandings. Not only did I answer your questions, but I proved these to be true. That is why you can't be bothered with the bible, not because it is "evil" or the "work of man", but simply because you cannot grasp the concepts highlighted in it.

  • @garysgreat I feel sorry for you, if you continue down this path, I really do, as you are freely choosing an eternity of morbid pain and suffering. God is giving you the chance to make the right choice, the Holy choice. Don't waste it. Once you die, that's it. you will have spent your entire life demonstrating that you don't wish to be with God, and therefore, you will be cut off from God, as you have freely chosen. It's up to you.

  • @25151206 PS you dont have the right to feel sorry for me, it is you who are deluded and need imaginary friends not I! One day all religion will die out and reality and reason will win the day. No I am not a sinner because I don't class your examples as sin. Why did your idiot fabricated god, stolen from the cannonites place a bloody tree in the garden in the first place? He was either stupid or neglegent or both? The story just don't make sense, so however you cut it, it's garbage.

  • @garysgreat Reality and reason has been the fuel for most wars of the 20th century, and has even contributed to the suffering of millions in the last 26 years alone. On July 13th 1985, it took an all day concert, televised throughout the world, and attended by the leading musicians of the day, and watched by british royalty, to highlight and set into motion a wave of philanthropy for the destitute and starving of 1 african nation that was undergoing the worst drought they had ever seen.

  • @garysgreat Before that, Christian charities were struggling to ensure the health and safety of that nation's people because of a lack of funds and donations from "rational" and "realistic" people. During and after the concert, millions were made for the support of the people at risk, and lives were saved. Christmas 1984, a song was written in order to highlight the same problem. It was a christian message, highlighting africa's call for help. That single went platinum within hours.

  • @garysgreat So much for "reason"

  • @garysgreat So you don't believe you have a spirit, or a soul? Well, that is your own choice. As for socrates, the most information we have about him is written by plato, who likely fictionalized socrates, based on an actual man.

"in Plato's view, every dialectical exercise, precisely because it is an exercise of pure thought, subject to the demands of the Logos, turns the soul away from the sensible world, and allows it to convert itself towards the Good

  • @garysgreat So much for reason, eh? If even a philosopher rejects it.

  • @25151206 pppps. Have a great life, best wishes to you. The bible, either it's ALL true or it's ALL a lie, at least you believe it ALL and don't cherry pick, so I give you respect for that! Peace and good bye.

  • @garysgreat Although I didn't ask for your respect,I am thankful that you have expressed respect towards me.I believe in God,and in the words of the Bible.Having read most of the Bible,I am able to see that, even though the Bible speaks of evil,it's primary message is one of great love and compassion, even during the times of the old testament, and I will not look away from that. By the way, did you take the time to read through my comments answering your questions, or did you just ignore it?

  • @25151206 I did read your comments. Please answer these questions directly. If god made man in his own image, what about Neanderthal man and our earlier ancestors, say homo erectus? Who’s image were they made in, or does god look like an ape? Why didn't god just kill Adam and eve instead of being childish and punishing them, when he apparently could have flicked his finger and started again? Or wiped there memories clean, so they would have forgotten the sinful knowledge?

  • @garysgreat Man was made in the spritual image of God, that is, man was made with a compulsion to search for God and to be close to God, as well as with the desire to please God. That is why adam and eve ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, because they were misdirected by satan that they would become like God in their knowledge of good and evil.

  • @garysgreat As for your second question, why didn't God kill adam and eve and start over, rather than punish them, let me first ask you a question, in order to highlight my answer. If your son or daughter did something wrong, would you kill them and start over, or would you punish them? Almost every parent I know would say punish. If you said kill, then you are worse than satan

  • @garysgreat As for your implication that punishment for crime is childish, I dare you to say that to anyone who has lost loved one's due to murder or terrorist attacks. Was it childish for the police to hunt for the underground suicide bombers who hit kings cross, russel square, and other underground stations around london, as well as the top deck of a london bus in 2005? I lived 5 mins away from the area of euston station and saw the devastation of what happened.

  • @25151206 I never said punishment of crime is stupid, and since you are conversing with an ex-solider, I should know all about Ireland, since I have served there! And as for suicide bombers, more delusional idiots! You do realise they will be in heaven too? God is great?? And god is childish if he punished adam and eve. But it's just a silly story. Right That reqally is it! Faith=An absence of knowledge and facts. And remember, wwwdotwhywontgodhealamputeesdotcom wwwdotgodisimaginarydotcom. Bye

  • @garysgreat No, you said it's childish. I am also an ex soldier, serving in afghanistan. Ireland was a bit before my time, but I remember being told about the ira bombing of canary wharf in london. The suicide bombers are deluded idiots, and they don't even realise that they are not just killing innocent people who don't deserve death, but muslims as well, and will not get into heaven because they are going against Gods will.

  • @garysgreat Why would it be childish to punish adam and eve? They committed a crime and were caught, so the crime deserves to be punished. Is it childish to punish a child for stealing something?

What about if the child beats up another child? would it still be childish to punish them for that? What if a youth mugs someone and gets caught? Would it be childish to punish the youth for their crime? I don't think so! After all, we are bound by the law.

  • @garysgreat Was it childish for british forces to go into ireland in order to stop the ira from committing terrorist attacks, sometimes even against their own people? Is it childish for british forces to be in libya, defending the libyan people from airial and artillery bombardment? NO! Punishment for a crime or wrongdoing is not childish, rather, it will encourage the criminal or child to behave in a more appropriate way in society, and will prepare them for adult life.

  • @25151206 YOUR FABRICATED GOD IS PATHETIC, CHILDISH, STUPID AND PETTY. The bible is man made and creationism is dumb. Light travels at 186,000 miles per second. Creationists say the earth is 6,000 years old. So how is it we can see the Galaxy Andromeda? Light takes 2.2 million years to reach us, from there! You peole like flat earth's and living in the bronze age, so good luck. I prefer my i7 pc and the knowledge I can learn from the internet.

  • @garysgreat I never said the earth is 6000 years old. All I said was that I believe in God and that God created us. The Bible is a written account of God and humans throughout history, and takes place over a period of over 7000 years. The Bible also states that an hour for God is like 1000 years and 1000 years for God is like 1 hour. Therfore, I am forced to come to the conclusion, through biblical evidence alone, that the universe is far older than 7000 years old.

  • @garysgreat Not only that, but the Bible says that the earth is ROUND, not flat, and teaches that we should use and enjoy any technological developments that we make. After all, we were created with the instinct to invent and create, as we were made in the image of God. You say you prewfer your pc and the information you can learn from the internet. How do you know the authors on the net actually know what they're talking about?

  • @garysgreat Look up, scientific facts in the Bible. You will be amazed at the scientific facts found in the Bible, written thousands of years before science modern science caught up. By the way, it was medievil scientists and sailors who thought the world was flat, Not christians or jews.

  • @25151206 "Can you undo what has already been done?" You said that, not me. Well god can do anything or he wouldn't be a god. So it follows he could have just blanked the memorries of adam/eve and then there would be no need to punish them! Job done, sorted! Then all the rest of this sin nonsense wouldn't be required, and jesbub wouldn't have to kill himself/er come back to life just to save me, from myself? Look, we wont agree, that much is for sure.

  • @garysgreat yet even if God blanked out adam and eve's memories, God would still know that they'd comitted a sin. It goes back to that situation where you forgot that you spilled tomato sauce all over your white shirt. You forgot, but everyone else can see the mess. Also, every person on earth has sinned, save one, and that is Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ lived a life totally without sin, death had no hold on him, and he rose from death.

  • @25151206 "You forgot, but everyone else can see the mess." I think you forgot, at that point in time there was no one else to see any mess! Silly story, adam and eve! So what if god did know? He could just move on. He's the boss, he can do what he wants... If it existed? There are many british laws I would reject, but that's another issue.

  • @garysgreat My God is a God who is the embodiment of justice and holiness. That is my belief, and because of this, I believe that God cannot tolerate evil, however big or small. The point isn't wheather or not God can move on, because He did, and forgave us of our sins. The point is that, because of what adam and eve did, i.e. commit sin, they caused a separation from God, which, until Jesus Christ died on the cross, we humans have never been able to repair since.

  • @25151206 I believe in evolution, I know they have not got asll the answers, but that is what science is for. To try and understand our world and beyond. I can not say there is no divine creator. We could be part of some very sick simulation for all I know? I just have to reject the bible, because it was clearly written by men, for control purposes. Any god with 600 plus laws has rejection issues and is insecure at best. Glad to hear you are an ex-sevice person. Good on you!

  • @garysgreat Thanks for the praise concerning my service. I do have to ask this question of you however, you say that a God who has over 600 laws has rejection issues, yet there are thousands of laws and legislations in the British leagal system, so going from your stand point, that means british law also has rejection issues.

  • @garysgreat As for Cheristianity, when Christ was asked which is the most important commandment, he answered" Love God with all your mind heart and soul, and love your neighbour as you love yourself"

  • @25151206 I have friends in Afghanistan right now. They are fighting very un-educated backward people. Throw religion into this mix and shit!! Anyway peace to you and as Spock would say, "live long and prosper!" At least xtians are mostly about real peace and love, unlike Islam.

  • @garysgreat I'm not muslim, but I do know a little about the muslim faith. The only reason why the afghan people are uneducated is because the taliban has stopped peole from going to school, college and university, and use the muslim faith in a way that supports their own views which actually go against the koran. The same thing has been done in the uk and america in the past, where people would use the Bible as a way of condoning slavery. Yet the Bible actually teaches against slavery.

  • @25151206 Slavery, The bible teaches against it, Hmmmm.

    Exodus chapter 12 verse 43:

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "These are the regulations for the Passover: No foreigner is to eat of it. Any slave you have bought may eat of it after you have circumcised him, but a temporary resident and a hired worker may not eat of it.

  • @garysgreat The reason why foreigners or temporary members of a jewish house are not allowed to eat the passover meal is because the passover is a jewish celebration of their God given liberation from egypt. That is not to say that foreigners or slaves or whatever are not allowed to eat, because they are. it's just that for that particular meal, they are not allowed to share in. However, on the day of passover, they are allowed to eat.

  • @garysgreat Also, you must remember that during that time in history, around 3000 years ago, slavery was common place in africa and the middle east, just as it was in europe, and the bible gives guidelines concerning the treatment of anyone who found themself a slave in a jewish household.

  • @25151206 Exodus Chapter 21, verse 20:

If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.

  • @25151206 Colossians, chapter 3, verse 22:

Slaves, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever your task, work heartily...

Bid slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to be refractory, nor to pilfer, but to show entire and true fidelity.

  • @garysgreat Compared with the treatment of slave in other nations at the time, surely you would agree that slaves in jewish households were treated better than in any other household, where they would not only be vulnerable to getting beaten, but would also have to endure rape and other crimes against them as well. I'm not saying the bible encourages slavery or that slavery is right, I'm just saying that slaves in jewish households were treated better than most.

  • @25151206 Basically the words of god are man made. They are used to control and give some comfort I suppose in a shit world where to many death is actually a release! I really can't understand how every religious person can interprit the bible so differently? P.S the taliban stop girls from going to school. Just like christianity in the past, women are not equal and are treated as second class! Respect to you, but religion can go shove it's self up gods arse!! Peace

  • @garysgreat I get what you're saying in regards to religion, and I agree with you. However, I see a difference between religion and faith. Religion is a man made concept that encourages division between men and nations, and it's also possible to follow other things religiously, such as football. Faith is a set of beliefs and values based on the teachings of God or other deities which unites men. Just look at the way sikhs or buddhists behave.

  • @garysgreat Even though they have different beliefs, they still treat others as if they were their brother or sister. It's for that reason why I respect them. Even though our beliefs are so different, there are certain similarities between us and our perception of the world and others.

  • @garysgreat As for "wiping their memories clean" that would do nothing to right the wrongs, as the deed will have already been done, and crime committed. Therefore, God, being a holy God, will not be able to look at adam or eve without being disgusted by their sin, however big or small the sin may be. That would be like forgetting you spilled spaghetti bolongese all over the front of your clean white shirt. You forget it's there, but everyone can see that you're a slob.

  • @25151206 The bible speaks of evil. Er god is evil remember these little gems: GENESIS 6 & 7 Unhappy with the wickedness of man, God killed every living thing on the planet except Noah’s family. Men, women, infants and animals drowned in unimaginable terror and agony. That is total genocide!!

EXODUS 9:10 God sent a plague of festering boils on the people and animals.

EXODUS 9:22-25 God sent a hail storm to Egypt, striking man and animal, stripping the land.

    Great love and compassion?

  • @25151206 NUMBERS 12:9-14 God was displeased with Miriam, so he struck her with leprosy and banished her from the camp for seven days.

NUMBERS 15:32-26 A man gathered sticks for a fire on the Sabbath. By God’s command, he was stoned to death.

NUMBERS 16:35 A fire from God killed 250 men.

NUMBER 16:48 A plague from God killed 14,700

Are you starting to feel gods love yet?

  • @25151206 I could go on and on, so Either all of the bible is true, or it's all a lie? If it is true, then you can keep that homicidal god for yourself!! Seriously that's it, I wish you well and a great life. I have made my point and you have made yours. Best wishes

  • @garysgreat When God created the universe, he blessed everything he'd made, and loved it. Even when man first sinned, he didn't kill, but placed a punishment over man. After the great flood, God promised that never again would he punish the earth with flooding, and a rainbow appeared, and everytime God sees the rainbow, He remembers His covenant with moses.

  • @25151206 Prove beyond doubt anyone has been healed by faith and I personally will believe. Period. Why would a god who choses to let thousands die in earthquakes, millions a year under 8 years old die of starvation, millions die each year of disease, would really care if one individual could have a new kidney. The bigger picture shows this is all absolute garbage. Derren brown is real, satan is imaginary. The world will turn with or with out us, thats it. Supermen are fiction. Fact

  • @jamflip Huh? I "use fear for my own gratification?" Really? Wow, I didn't realise I was using fear for my own personal gratification. I just thought I was quoting a text from the Bible and pointing out that Jesus Christ has healed someone with an amputation. It HAS been done, by Jesus Christ Himself, so it IS possible, yet as to why we rarely see it happen today, I do not know. Maybe I should read the Bible more to try and see if there is an answer there, other than a lack of faith.

  • Guys quit arguing, God is incredible, simple az, i encourage you get to know him.

  • @elreinoviene sorry if that last comment seemed rude. God does heal believers today, but it is done at his discretion. Sometimes he purposes maladies for the good of those who love him, sometimes he heals them for the same reason. but either way, healed or not healed, the christian must realise that everything that seems like it is a curse is actually a blessing, since nothing bad comes from God's hand. even in unrelenting terminal illness, the believer is blessed. nothing is bad for us.

  • @djr3000 Well said....on both your comments.
