Yep! I know it! I was there in 2008 and we had a wedding celebration! It was similar to this party but without the flashing lights! Those Persians know how to party! I guess so - they've been doing it for thousands of years!!
The sad thing is , a party like this that happens every day all over the world has to be such a big deal in Iran that people have to ask questions about it.

it not illegal to have parties, its illegal to have a party that is mixed, where women are not valid, plus unapproved music and alcohol, thats what makes it illegal.
but not all muslim countries are like this, there are so many that dont have this problem, like Dubai, Bahrain, Lebanon and many more....
