@Avenger2110 this is a prototype. It is reasonable to lag in it's touch capabilities at this point in time since the actual final product isn't out in the market yet.

the 101tc looked awesome in the magazines i read. I'm no expert but after seeing this, I'm really not keen on buying it mostly because;

The screen is so reflective in the video, it's ridiculous although that may get reduced with a filter

I saw a bit of lag when she dragged it (It's new, what if data is fragmented or whatever)

If it's reasonably cheap, I'll probably reconsider buying it, but if not it's just another copy of the iPad with flash on it.

@Avenger2110 I totally agree with you about the shine. But you could put a mat screen protector on I suppose. I don't think Asus will release it with this much shine, it's madness, like an expensive mirror. I would rather have this than an iPad though, it's cool. And I like apple, don't get me wrong, I'm typing this out on my Macbook. But I don't like the fact the iPad is limited, no real OS, and no USB sucks!

@BradSaidItFirst It's only a late prototype, they don't even have a working 12" model, well at least... not at the Computex they didn't. That's why (as she said) will be released first quater ("Q1") next year 2011. By the way, the 12" model is an iPad killer for me, as I will use it mostly for school and you just need a stylus for school work which the iPad does not have. not to mention being able to easily put PDF text books on this for school too. So now my iPad money is going to an iPhone 4.

@aussienerds I totally agree, the stylus is a massive focal point for me, as I'm also looking for a tablet worthy of school! I wish Notion Ink's "Adam" had a stylus. If it did, it would kill every single other tablet out there. Sadly, it doesn't.
