  • i use to own this horse, amazing what you can find on the net

  • You do a really good job of keeping the horse between you and the judge. lol

I'm sooo bad at that haha xD

  • i was wondering, how do u get ur horse to trot as u jog? i can never get my horse to do that....

  • i may sound stupid but i have my first horse show coming up and my horse will trot and set up,, but what is the pattern? like what do you do

  • wen the judge is between the withers head, be on the other side, wen he is between the withers and his rear, be on the SAME SIDE, thats what ive been told by 3 diff trainers, u can also watch ppl at world show videos to get a look at how they stand..have fun showin

  • @tmustang94 yes but thats for showmanship, not halter. halter you are always on the opposite side, showmanship "quartering" you will be on the same side when he passes the rump and move back when he gets to the wither :)

  • @horses4ever62 i said that :)

  • I'm doing halter class pretty soon, and just wanted to know. Are you suppose to stay on the same side as the judges, and if not when are you suppost to be on the other side.

  • Hi, your always supposed to be on the opposite side of the judge, so whenever the judge passes around the rump of your horse, move to the other side :)

  • @horses4ever62 OMG PLEASE HELP ME FAST!!!!!...... pm me the steps and where to trot where to go how to do it where to stand I NEED IT ALL i have an upcoming show and i know NOTHING! NOTHING.! please help me as soon as you can please

  • Your horse is beautiful , and great job !!!! i do showmanship and dressage jumping too !! And i love how you kept beet with your feet when your horse was trotting .

  • it depends on what kind of horse urs is theres tons of diffrent type of halter for diffrent breeds

  • awesomness !!

  • hehe yea i like to do a bit of everything, i have a tb for jumping,3 paints for halter, hunter under saddle and western pleasure. And an arabian for dressage :D

  • thanks! um i dohalter,western pleasure,hunter under saddle,jumping and dressage :D

  • no probs glad it help, this was 1 of my first classes :D

  • ah, thanks for the tips ^.^ that will come in handy for my next years show that has in-hand classes. ^.^

  • Ah yep that makes sense. Thanks! would it be the same for an english halter/in-hand class?

  • Great job! What place did you get? The only thing is you need to pick your hands up and present your horse. Otherwise the run was great! I know training isnt easy. I do the same thing. I am a paint person and I prefer showing is western pleasure/english/etc. but I also train Arabians. :) We trainers need to stick together!

  • hi,this class was ages ago, thought i would upload it for someone who was learning it, i got 2nd in this class, i did some showmanship and improved it HEAPS.I show paints, this is a friends horse.i won the state title with my gelding last year and this years state show is on in 2 weeks,so hopefully we do well.and nationals is a week after that lol :D

  • oh okay! I was like "This looks beautiful just the hands need to come up!" LOL!!! I show paints as well and I can't wait to start showing my 2 year old! I am sure you will kick butt at your shows!! You have very beautiful horses!!!

  • no i am facing the horse with my body and looking at the judge, but english hih calsses are very different

  • Nice, so you want to be facing the judge, is that why you were moving. I'm going to be doing english halter/in-hand classes,so is that type of positioning what you have to do?
