Recovery has always been my biggest issue. This vid cleared that stuff up. I always wanted to go to far instead of walking away and saying I'm done I've exceeded where I should be, it's over. Damn good info!
I really hope Dave Tate is not the guy that owns this page...I just saw a racist comment on a video with a guy straight benching 520 with no spot and the guy in this video is no where near the shape of the guy benching 520...you killing me...
@7DeuceCutty He does not, it's my youtube channel. I have posted not posted any deflamatory comments on anybodys videos so please do not make silly posts like this. Thanks.
"Max effort shouldnt be done everyday...MOST people arent gonna be able to handle it". Some people are and some people just arent capable of maxing out everyday. The ones that do reach the highest level of sports mastery.
@Forsestis not necessarily, more often than not it causes only injury. the secret to mass and strength gains is auxiliary work in high volumes. the pressure max effort puts on joints isn't to be used all the time. it trains your nervous system more than anything, too much will basically fry it.
this is one of the best videos ive ever seen on recovery. especially around 8mins when he starts talking about when he broke his floor press. so dam true..
This is the best video Iv watched on YouTube.

sorry to ask the extremely noob question, but how do you find out your 90to100% effort ? thanks
azt3c 2 months ago
@azt3c Take your max and multiply it by .9 for 90%, .95 for 95%, etc

azt3c 2 months ago
@azt3c Max out, figure out how much you can do for one rep. Or you can calculate it off of a 3 or 5 rep max. Just google 1 one rep max calculator
