Man I was always such a huge Rip fan as a kid. But then my cousin's would beat me up because the pistons always seemed to murk the bulls when we were on the rise. Hopefully I can finally cheer for Rip this year.

@Realistic82 I know man forreaal. I was a sophomore in hs in 04 when they won and it was all Detroit pride!!! I loved how the team didn't have just one superstar that overshadowed everyone else, they all took turns being that person whenever the team needed them to be. Including the bench guys (except Darko.) lol I really do think the way this team played defense they would've gave Jordan's Bulls a run for their money. ;-)

I dont care that they only won 1 championship, because when you can claim the title of greatest defense of all-time that's worth more than championships, imo. When you talk about greatest offense of all-time, its Showtime Lakers, and the greatest defense is the 2004 Pistons.

To me, I wouldn't trade that title for another championship. Every year a team wins a championship. To be the all-time great at something is once in a lifetime and means more, imo.

love the pistons but this team underachived they should have at least won 2 titles well almost did in 2005....but 2007 was a big shock i blame the coach for allowing lebron to basically beat the pistons by himself

This was the hardest working NBA team ever. They were all stars. They played as a team and were under dogs when they went to the NBA finals 2 years in a row. I still think if they were together they would be killing it. 3 of them are there but 2 are missing. This was amazing. They had all of Detroit on their feet. Best Detroit Pistons team ever in my opinion.

@cbillsallday well all they need back is chauncey and rasheed. they can still be good but theyr lazy now which is why they suck. they lost all momentum wen billups and rasheed left. but if thery can come back with mcgrady and them, theyll be the team to beat. but until that happens, they suck.
