  • Okay, I just listened to another video with a similar shofar played and other than the added reverb that this one has, it sounds virtually the same.

  • For more information about Shofar and other Holy Temple instruments, we have written extensively on the Shofar and have three websites

    hearingshofar (dot) com

Shofar Blog Hearingshofar (dot) blogspot (dot) com

    ShofarCorps (dot) com

  • Does anyone know the measurement of that shofar?

  • Hi Randy could you help me get a Shofar that sounds like yours, PLEASE. Thank you. Here is my email, xavierz77@aol.com. Thank you.

  • The sound has been electronically manipulated but if you were to play the shofar in the Judean desert it would sound exactly like this since the desert hills around Masada reverberate sound.

  • WUAHH ... ALABAD A DIOS EN SU SANTUARIO; ALABDLE EN LA MAGNEFICENCIA DE SU FIRMAMENTO ...ALABEDLE A SON DE BOSINA... SALMO 150

  • Age of Empire xD

  • @BATZAHALBHE yesssss exactly what I was thinking! when he first made that sound my heart skipped, and I thought "shit enemies are attacking!!"

  • Age of Empire xD

  • i have listened to another video with four traditional shofar blasts and they did sound like a ram's horn, isn't that what the shofar is? well, when i listen to this guy blow, this doesn't sound like a shofar, it sounds like a regular trumpet, not a shofar, and i don't understand if people on this show have messed with the shofar sound by enhancing it or whatever, amplifying it with mechanical-technical means, but you shouldn't mess with-add to God - this doesn't sound like a shofar

  • @YeshuaShai Shouldn't mess with or add to God? It's just a horn, dude.

  • @YeshuaShai

What, you thought God didn't cause modern amplification to be invented such as that used in this excellent video? I believe God created telegraph, telephone, radio, tell-a-vision, CB Radios and now the internet (no, Al Gore did not invent the internet), in order to share the Gospel with the world.

  • @CalebsReport

No, people invented those things. If you google them you can find out their names. Don't take credit from the human race and give it to your imaginary friend.

  • increible el sonido me pone los pelos de punta, es el sonido q escuchara toda la tierra cuando nuestro Dios venga para jusgar a las naciones amen.

  • Fake. The sound is very clear, VERY CLEAR. I´m brazilian and blow the shofar too, and know the sound of shofar.

  • Este sonido es incomparable... Maranatha, Jeshua viene pronto!

  • Awesome! Need this on an upcoming song I'm recording! Randy, do you have a WAV file I can use?

  • Even though Im not a jew, this still is pretty cool :)

  • Power - - yes. What a great sound. Never heard anything like this before!

  • escuchen el sonido de dios es ese las trompetas de los angeles asi sera amennnnn

  • i like this sound.

  • Sounds like brass to me... I think you used a trumpet or something for the sound instead of an actual shofar... Shame! Shame!

  • love it,just think when jesus comes we will hear this praise ye the lord,so beautiful sound!!!!

  • yo quiero tener un chofar de esos

  • Comment removed

  • Looking forward to the last trump soon.....

  • @Excellence337 Amen! Selah!

  • LOVE THIS SOUND :)

  • Cool sound BUT IT'S NOT THE SOUND OF THE SHOFAR. This sound is powerful because it's been distorted and amplified by special effects.

  • @u4ism

well its hardly the sound of a ukelele is it! LOL an electric guitar or bass sounds pretty naff until its plugged into amps/effects/eq/PA etc with endless permutations being possible. What is the true sound of an electric guitar? Or any recorded and subsequently listened to instrument? I sound the shofar in many and various indoor and outdoor situations, it "sounds" different every single time, sometimes the acoustics are flat, sometimes fantastically dynamic. What is the true sound?

  • @goldsmithexile Agreed that the externals can make a difference in terms of the final sound however, this shofar blowing isn't changed only cause of the amps or the place that where he's performing. The whole sound is distorted apparently cause of the addition of various acoustic supplementation. ONE CAN EASILY IDENTIFY THE TRUE SOUND OF THE SHOFAR NO MATTER WHERE IT'S BLOWN.

  • @u4ism

Are you thinking of the traditional Jewish pattern or form of the shofar blasts (tekiah, teruah, shevarim, tekiah gdolah?) Agreed, Randy isnt necessarily creating those!

  • "VehaYah kol asher yekra beshem Yahweh vemalay. Anokiy יְהוָה Yahweh Adonai יְהוָה Yahweh Elohiycah echad. Kay El li owlam Yahweh Elohiyka. Uwme owlam ad owlam atah El. Aniy El Shaddai hithalek lepanay veheye tamiym"

  • @Doxa2Yah Amen Bless Israel,love fromPuerto Rico,praise Jehovah.

  • Hearing it in real life is so much better.

  • Thank you for sharing....love this...our church use to begin our church service like this....with a brother in the Lord sharing his talent with the shofar....beautiful...praying that we can have this blessed gift again beginning our church service.....Reminding us all the sound we will hear when it is our Lord Jesus Christ coming to take us all home to live eternity with Him, prayers always, Power Of Prayer, sharing, much love, peace :)

  • OMG!!! Quee Uncion!!!!: . .WOW

  • uy!!! que pasoooo!!!!???

    todos se están volviendo pseudojudíos!!

  • fake or not fake does'nt matter...what important is the sound of the shofar touch my spirit.

  • Music-Instrument of Gat ( see psalm 63) It presents The Highest Alarm to declare the demonstration of The Victory by the Adem of the Voice of Adonai Elohim, Who was and continuing is and forever is coming.THE Alfa and Omega has GOT The last WORD

  • absolutely incredible sound.... from a rams horn! Iam blessed! thanks for sharing!

  • @sbeesmarr Kudu horn, but it's still cool. I have a ram's horn and can only get one tone out of it, where he gets three because the air column is longer.

  • Learn more about the shofar from my book, "Hearing Shofar: The Still Small Voice of the Ram's Horn." Search on the title to find a free download.

  • Randy has a big Shofar, big and curvy.

  • I gave one to a friend of ine as a gift...awesome!!!

  • Завараживает!

  • Knock off the sound effects. This is not good. You sound fake.

  • fake

  • Excelente interpretación, qué sonido tan extraordinario.

  • that sounds great, what an excellent job

  • hermoso sonido de shofar, que gran bendicion

  • You wondered where it mentioned thunders, lightnings and the 'voice of the trumpet' in the bible?

Exo 19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

Exo 19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount

  • Does Randy have a web site? What is his last name? He is so anointed to blow this horn....wow! Best I've ever heard!!! Takes you to Jerusalem just hearing it!

  • This is awesome, it made chills run up and down my spine, to hear the sound of the engathering, and yet so few in the world has ever even heard it!

  • very goooood

  • this is amazing!!!

  • love this keep playing man

  • I'm speechless... It's so full of annoiting!

  • Just to clearify God brought down the walls of Jericho not the horn.

  • How doea brother Randy get that fantastic Louis Armstrong rasping tone at 1.02? Awesome sounds, especially in a TV studio!! TRhanks for posting...

I practise shofar in empty parish churches. The acoustics of those old interiors definately add to the overall impact of the sound picture. They naturally amplify those drone notes... Yet I sounded my shofar outside for the first time this afternoon and was AMAZED how the sonic waves travel so well, very piercing!!

  • aMAZING

  • Wow totally awesome, thank you for sharing!

  • stop copying stuff Only god can send to us , how i spost to know, if this came from god or not , cause it happend to me i hear it and voice from heaven speaking to me

I bealive in god but don't like people acting like god's

then i'am confuse because people used it too !!!

  • I think it's amazing...

  • This guy knows how to blow the shofar!!! B)

  • Very interesting video

  • @mcfrdmn Thanks! We get a lot of comments on this one.

  • sounds cool, just cant find a decent sound clip that doesnt have any commentary at all.

  • @medievalman86 Google shofar MP3. Just be aware that not every shofar sounds like Randy's.

  • Know for a fact that this man is playing this. We were there when he learned how. Very kind and gentle man.

  • @danielfarina1971 It was a natural blowing of the shofar, but with reverb. We posted Randy's comment on this10 months ago: Yes, most of the time, I do use reverb. However, I do not alter the tone with EQs. Anyway, several reasons I do use reverb is to compensate for flat / dead listening environments and also to give it that full sounding from the mountain feel. Depending on the environment and the spiritual dynamic of the moment, I will use various combinations of delay, reverb, and echo.

  • @crossoverproductions thanks for bringing my expectations down to reality. I'm a purist with sound in certain scenarios. I appreciate your decision because this sound is epic – but knowing the difference is important. I'd considered it, but was just so pleased with the sound. Maybe the reverb also smoothes out the shofar sound, which for me is always a bit raspy.

  • @crossoverproductions I noticed it had some delay, nice sound though. Is there anywhere I can get some high quality samples of this instrument?

  • @danielfarina1971 why does he haft to be a jerk. come on we all love jesus, wow i'm really shocked, i pray God softens your heart.

  • @danielfarina1971 relax its an effect only but hes playing Stop yah hating.

  • I dont doubt that he is actually playing, but the sound may be edited. I doubt that the studio they are in can produce such acoustic qualities and be so alive. If it that really is unedited, the studio must be a multi-million dollar facility.

  • To JohnPlenge uuhh ur an idiot. It's the anointing btw. Retardo.

It is a powerful sound. It signifies the voice of God. Stirs up demons in people like JohnPlenge here. I played at my church as well. I have a clip, check it out guys. Even you John. Search Jaraul4996. Or shofar New Destiny. God bless u all

  • this great where did you get the custom mouth piece?

  • Israel must be doomed!

  • For those of you who want just the shofar sound. I cleaned it up, removed the hiss, amplified the sound and a few more audio restoration. enjoy

    mediafire. com/?zmu2odndhzu

  • He mus have the mouthpiece area carved out a little to be able to adjust the different notes.

  • Even if it is overdubbed - it's still awesome and I want to be able to blow my shofar just like that!

    So there!

    Hallelujah!

  • Haa Haaa Haaaaaaaaaaaa

lol lol lol trompetje let maar eens op duurd niet lang meer dan hoor je het echt.

Natuurlijk eerst zien en dan voelen en dan pas geloven.

    Lol lol lol.

  • and cristan bookstore

  • que bonito se escucha el soFar...

  • wow that's beautiful.... it gave me chills..... it's probably jus like what they used to use in the Old Testament!!!!! It's awesome.....:)

  • Yes "Listen to the POWER , even though it is a TV, just listen to the power".... of a well-recorded trumpet then adding digital delay and reverb effects and then replacing the original "live" recording with a lip syncing , overdubbed fake. The power of audio-video editing anointment! Let's all praise the power of technology indeed!!

  • Truth. Hooray for dubbed trumpet.

  • @JohnPlenge

yes its very likely to be edited

the sound is stil awesome tho...

  • lol

  • wow que pulmones tocas muy bien !

  • Thanks for posting! Beautiful!

  • anyone know where I can find a shofar clip that is completely devoid of anyone talking... it ruins the whole thing, I dont want to hear commentary, just the shofar

  • @medievalman86 click here 0:23

  • awesome trumpet sound off my friend. sounds like the call of the trumpet that sounds at the rapture my friend or from what i gathered about that.

    message me

  • You are an answer to prayer. God Bless you.

  • This is one of the best sounds ever, beside God and Jesus voices themselves and the real horns.

  • Magnifique, c'est divin!

  • Praise the Lord

  • I agree with you; a fake, undoubtely.

  • How it is possible to get 4 to 7 second natural reverberation in a recording studio without amplification. Sure it's probably a nice horn, but if you were in the studio live it wouldn't sound like that...

  • aaaah que isso :O lindo demais

  • HERMOSO SONIDO!!!

  • Truly Yeshua is hearing the blast of the Shofar for Maranatha. Hallejujah, Bereshit Barak Elohim, Maranatha Yeshua Ha Mashiach. Shalom to you,

  • Randy Shalom in Yeshua. Truly Yeshua is hearing the blast of the Shofat in which you diminstrate maranatha. Bereshit Barak Elohim, Maranatha ha Meshiach Yeshua

  • It is amazing the sound it has. I didn't know that was possible.

  • Beautiful amazing sound!!! I tried it myself and it is not easy to play!! He is obviously an expert. I got 3 distinct tones. D, A, D (one octave) With more breath, the tone goes to the next note. He makes it sound amazing. You have to have GREAT LUNGS to do this, like him!

  • Do you have any idea what the size is of the one he is playing? I know the inches are measured around the edge of the horn, not tip to tip.

  • i like this video

  • Sieg heil

  • Yahshua ya viene

  • WHAT A BLESSING! SHAMA YASHUAH!

  • I love it.....

  • yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow i felt that

  • It is not a fake, but it does matter who is trying to sound it( you need the right technique) also every single instrument makes a different sound. This is not a man made instrument.

  • you are indeed rotting

  • No, it's him playing. You can hear the wavering of the pitch with his breath.
