Bragg's version is crap, and unfortunately it has become the dominant English version. He sings like a bloody beagle, and the key is wrong. Internationale must always be in Bb.
Socialism is so good and did so well that the main country to adopt it and this awful anthem, for over 70 years, imploded and ceased to exist nearly 20 years ago. Whilst in that time oppressing and exterminating the very people it purported to uphold and cherish the most, replacing exploitative capitalists with even more exploitative 'socialists'. Long live the revolution?
@Scatty711uk The last bastion of socialism itself is Cuba. As a matter of fact, this song represents perfectly the Cuban Revolution and the years after.
The saddest thing is that "socialists" can hear this song, and still do nothing. Anyone with brains enough to hear it will know that this is a call to arms, and yet you still sit around and let the fascists win.
There is, but it's become the saddest excuse for a CP since the Kautskyites. Originally the CPUSA was made of people who supported the Bolshevik Revolution when it happened while the Socialist Party was dominated by centrists. Now the closest thing we have to a real revolutionary party is the Socialist Party. The World Socialist Party is also a very good party, they publish the fantastic website wsws . org

There are, but in my opinion they're out of touch with the cause.

akt520, there are a number of Communist & Socialist parties in the USA, the largest of which is the Communist Party USA (CPUSA).
