The Shakespeare Express used to roar past my flat in NW London on a Sunday morning at about 11.10am. I lived on Cooper Road, NW10 and the tracks were just beyond the top of the 'garden'. One Sunday morning I saw the Flying Scotsman whoosh past and the whole building shuddered and shook like a jelly.
