Contrary to popular belief, the Mi16 engine is lighter than the GTi-6 XU10J4RS unit. And the V6 is also lighter than the XU10 derivatives too (although as said, it does put more weight over the front of the car due to the XUs slanting back behind the axle).
If you want to do weight that helps in a 205 an Mi16 is the way forward, even over a GTi-6 engine.

An MI16 engine is in base exactly the same as the GTI6 engine and in big lines also as the 206 gti engine.
The weight of a v6 isn't really helping in corners, but the extra torque of the 2 extra cilinder's and the extra weight on the front-wheels make it an excellent sprinter...

actually, a 3.0 v6 205 is not going to be great, at all. very sluggish, liek most v6's are, it will be like a boat arroudn corners and its most likely going to fuck up, as its a french v6 anyway. these engines make 193bhp (or the more tuen dversion of 211bhp) as standard. Bin the engine, and throw a gti6 lump in. 170bhp standard, cam it and get some proper management, and your away. much faster than that pile of shit

the 205 GT is my car of choice for doing Grasstrack racing, my one has the 1360cc engine but with a twin-choke Weber carb on it which is a big plus over the other 4 door models, the only alternative to this, excluding the GTi, is the XS which is pretty rare now. Uprated suspension is a must for proper track days or races but standard parts are fine for grass, you get brilliant liftoff oversteer with it which can really help!! But if its slippy it'll swap ends and you'll make a fool of yourself!!

C'est un moteur mit au point entre Peugeot/Citroen ET Renault sur la base du V6 PRV !
puis revu et corrigé par Porsche pour les 406 coupe ph2, C5 et laguna II...
On peut voir ce moteur monter /swaper dans des Megane coupé, 205, 306, 307, clio 1 et 2 ...

Look closer, it really is a PSA 3.0 V6 engine in 60degree angle.
3 cilinders under the plastic "hood" and another 3 cilinders under the intake manifold.
PSA never made a straight 6 engine

Pointless putting a great big heavy engine in such a light car, you're better off modding the 1.9 Gti motor.
All very well until you get to a corner.. 180+ horsepower through the front wheels!!

Too be honest, the 3.0liter engine doesn't weigh soo much more then a 1.9liter...
The only thing they did wrong was putting the engine too far forward.
And the 3.0l V6 has at least 210 bhp (depending if it's 16 or 24 valves) and the 1.9Gti has 130 bhp (without Cat.)

Nope, a 205 like you can see at the end of the movie.
Only, because of the multiplex wiring of the modern PSA engines the dash needed to be converted as well.
Multiplex wiring uses a couple of wires for more then 1 thing...
