kheyli ahange ziba hast. I'm an Iranian. It makes me sad that our countries have many political and inter-social differences despite our great common culture and traditions. I have great respect for afghanistan. I wish peace and freedom for your country, zende bad afghanistan!
Salam bahama! Each time I lesten to this song I think about our cuntry and our ennocent people, and Isay Y only Afghan's pay expencive price? We have right to live like others, then I say to my self the only thing we need is UNITY to take us to the right place,I hope one day we have that.Enshallh
The man is a real patriot. and he expresses his love for his country through his music.if our leaders loved afghanistan this much afghanistan would be exporting cars and airplains by now. but too bad that,s not the case.
o41to - True he has a preserved character and that is b/c of his upbringing in a strict diciplined family and that is may be one of the reasons he is the most respected singers with dignity.
Beautiful songs... love it. He's very photogenic... The camera loves him... I love his acting and gestures in the video... He's very natural in front of camera.
Wali jan is a great singer but ever since he left afghanistan...i think he left his music in afghanistan..lately he only sings copys of indian songs and nothing new in a long time...his concert in usa was a flop...he even tried to sing some english songs...he needs to stick to his orginal form and come with some newness!! one of the great voices of the past...love to hear him sing some new songs...with all due respect!
Nasser jan; with all due respect to you I must say that I absolutely am disagree with you. Ahmad Wali jan is a true legend who has been trying hard to keep our quality music alive. It is very unfortunate that he faces very ignorant audience. He has not left his music behind; it is the audience who have lost their ears and their taste of music. Ahmad Wali jan is not a compositor; however, his songs composed by him are superb.
"very ignorant audience" wow that is way too respectful! i am sorry if the truth hurts! i love his voice and his old music...we see singers like farhad drya and some others that have been out of the country for a long time and they have been advancing their music, but not wali jan...i just feel bad for him to be wasting his talent on his golden years...singing copies should not be his forte...peace!
I apologize if I sounded disrespectfut; I didn't mean that. What I meant was that we've too much expectation from our singers, but in return we have nothing to offer; their CDs/ DVDs are copied & re-copied w/o the singers permission. The originals stay untouched. This, I call ignorance and disrespect. Another point, were the only nation that expects singers to compose. The worlds most famous singers like Lata, Celin Dion, Rafi...etc. have always sung songs composed by compositors...peace!
Farhad Darya may have advanced in using electronic instruments and hiring few western musicians and he may have sur and lai but what he misses is quality voice. I am sorry, but I dont find this advancement.
I partly agree. But what is newness, really? Today's vision of music is completely different than old days. However, I think recently ( a couple of albums) have not been up to his usual standards. But his magical voice, sur, lai, and style is his forte which will never die. He has tons of songs which are masterpieces but why in the hell would you want to release those songs in this environment.
i never questioned his voice or sur or lai...i just hate to see him with too many copy songs...it is easy to put a few poems to to an indian song and sing it...i think he should be way about that...peace!
Ahmad wali jan lotfan yak cd ghazal naow tanha baa tabla wa harmonya bekash taa dega naow lingak haa ba naame ghazal khani dahane khod ra kaj wa kor nakonan wa dahaneshan basta ko lotfan .

I've noticed that TV channels play A. W. jan's songs very infrequently. I guess one problem's that his fans are mostly highly educated (older) & feel embarrased to call TV channels to request a song. The young audience, not knowing any better than mast & cheap songs, keep calling to request as they wish. TV producers & hosts are also too ignorant to appreciate quality music. I've noted many times that A. W's songs are cut off in the middle while mast songs are played till the end. Is this fair?
I agree w you Arian jan. Ive stopped watching Afghan shows long time ago b/c most of them are a waste anyway. I wish we had only one channel (with professional producers/ hosts) that could present our true culture, farhang, & music. There, we would not have to suffer and forced to watch meaningless, shameful, & nerve-breaking songs; we'd not need to listen to illiterate callers who don't have anything else to say but to insult others; and w'd not have to see one channel talk against the other!
god bless ahmad wali a real afghan aknow he means every word he says.if our politicians felt like him and put our country first may beafghanistan would not have been refer to as hell on earth.marg bar hama dushmanane afghanistan.
the meaning of this is so beautifull and the voice of ahmad wali singing it and i like the powerfull voice and sher of Farida Anwari that just completes it and makes u feel the song
This song worths billion dollars. You can never find this quality music again. He sang it with so much feelings and sooz for our beautiful country. The best lyrics, compose, and singer to sing it. We love you A. Wali jan. God bless you and may God lay U. Nainawaz in peace.
...a true masterpiece!...I cry not only because of the strong feeling of love for the country during 'good old days' but because of what I have lost...or we all have lost! Our treasure, ...our life...our culture...our mother, our beloved Afghanistan! it is physically there, but sure is not ours anymore!
what happend to our country? what happend to our people? we're all over the world scatered like confused children who lost their mothers. why? why do we have to pay for the sins of others? why're we so separated from each other? Allah, unite us.
This song makes me cry. It is so powerful and has sing with such feeling "sooz" that is really incredible. Longlife A. Wali jan and may peace be with U. Nainawaz.

A real masterpiece that brings back memories from our beloved land, Afghanistan. Listening to this song makes me cry. Great poem, wonderful voice and superb composition!
I never forget when he sang this song at a concert and half of the people were in tears. Truly one of the best u. nainawaaz's compositions and only a. wali can bring them to life and take you through the journey with his magnificent voice and versitility.
I believe that. This song is gold and has such impression on me that words can describe it. I am someone who never cries but I really cried in one of his concerts too when he sang the song "Zendagi afsana e judaeest."
Bravo! what an observation and what a comment to a legendary singer. You must be ashamed of youself about a comment like this. What did you expect. Ahmad Wali's songs are not maast that would require dancing. Have some respect for our music icon.
Chill! I am the biggest Ahmad Wali fan in the world. It's just that I've never seen this video and it's also new to me that he moves his hand. You don't have to attack me like this. Why all this aggression? Enjoy the song!
Wow...if u listen closely to the lyrics, it will make u cry...A nostalgia of the glorious days of Afghanistan...Tnx Wahid jan, please upload more such classics if u can.
I have a majlisi version of this song where Ahmad zahir is playing the Harmounim and Ahmad wali is singing this song..beautiful composition of Ustad Nainawaaz.
Can you please, please make it as a clip and upload it for all A.W.'s fans. It seems you know a lot about Mr. A.W. Do you know if his son also sings or not?
Unfortuantely, the songs are all on tapes..so i can not upload them here. I dont know too much about him, but i know a little from what i have heard from others. His son does not sing, and lets hope he doesnt. Most sons from famous singers do not do very well. I believe he is with Hangama in Canada and rarely talks to his father.
